Chapter 96
She saw Logan in the driver’s seat, and he was looking at her.
She walked to the car’s direction and then she opened the front door.

“You can trust me like how I have trusted you,” Logan started the conversation. It seemed that the man could feel that she was hesitating whether she would be saying the truth to him or not.

Amelia swallowed the lump on her throat. She felt like it dried up because of her suddenly being on a hot seat.
She was still thinking if she should be hiding it from him but since Elene was Logan and Levi’s cousin, she decided to tell him the truth. A part of her mind was saying that the man might be able to help him

“Yes, the truth was that Levi was my boyfriend three years ago. I left him without saying to him that I am pregnant with our children,” she said and she didn’t know how all those words came out from her mouth.
Amelia could hear her heart pounding hard inside her rib cage. She was just wishing that Logan wouldn’t really tell Levi about the truth. She was hoping that the man would wait for her to tell his brother the truth.

“Your children? What do you mean? Are you saying that aside from this little boy you have another kid?” Logan asked one after the other as he wondered what she was talking about.

“Yes, but unfortunately, he died when I gave birth to them. According to my mother, he died though I never saw him because at that time, I was so weak. I dozed off immediately after giving birth and even in his burial, I was unable to attend,” she narrated to Logan.
“May I know what the day of your son’s birthday is?” Logan asked, full of curiosity in his voice.
“It will be a month from now.”

Amelia saw when Logan’s forehead knitted together.

“He has the same age and the same birthday as Leonard,” Logan murmured and then he looked at her.

“Wh--- what do you mean?” She pretended not to know that Leonard was his adopted son. She pretended as if she didn’t know anything that Harper told her about.
She didn’t want to put Harper in trouble.

“Well, to be honest, Leonard is just my adopted son. But what I have noticed about him is, as he grows up, he looks very familiar. He looked like Levi when he was still small and when I saw your son earlier, he really looked like my father when he was young. I am pretty sure of it because we have a lot of photos when our parents are still young and just like us. Our parents like to collect it and then they will put all of our photos on the album,” Logan exclaimed.

She was just looking at him as her heart was beating so fast. She didn’t know what to say. What if Logan was right? What if all along Luke’s twin was alive and he was just taken away from her? What would she be doing? She tried to calm herself down before anger could spike inside her chest. She had no solid proof to think this way and she should just relax and wait for the truth.

Her mind was in turmoil after she heard everything that Logan said.
“Do you mean that Leonard could be my son? That Luke’s twin brother is not really dead?” She was full of confusion. Though deep inside her heart, she was hoping that her son was really alive.

“Well, we cannot close the possibility. Let’s do a DNA test on them,” Logan suggested.

But Amelia was confused. How could that have happened? Did her mother lie to her?

“B--- but Logan, my mother said that my son is already dead. I know she would not lie to me. I cannot help but think that he could be Levi’s son from another woman?” She said and there was a pinch in her heart as she said the last words.
She couldn’t quite imagine that the man had been cheating on her while they were still in a relationship, and she knew that was so impossible to happen.
They were young and naïve back then, but she could feel that Levi really loved her. So, that was just impossible.

“Did you do a DNA test on Leonard before?” She asked him instead.
“No, I never thought of doing that to be honest,” Logan replied.
“Alright, let me get a blood sample of my son and tomorrow, I will get a blood sample of Leonard,” she suggested. Amelia was eager to know the truth about her son and Logan’s son. She wouldn’t know how she would react if the test would turn out positive.
How could her mother explain everything to her? She said that her son already died and if the DNA test result said otherwise it means her mom lied to her but why?

“Sure, just come to my place tomorrow,” Logan’s voice brought her back to her senses.
Her mind was so full about a lot of things between Levi and Cameron and now, this thing about Luke and Logan added.

“By the way, how did you know that I am here?” She asked Logan with curiosity. She didn’t want to think that the man was following her. Because what would be Logan’s reason to tail her.

Logan sheepishly smiled at her. Then he scratched his head.

“I am sorry. I really had no intention to find out about your son. It is just an accident. I am here to visit a friend, but I was already on my way out when I saw you in a hurry as you stepped down in a taxi. You went inside the hospital, and you didn’t even notice my presence. So, I got really curious, that's why I followed you and witnessed everything,” Logan narrated as he apologized to her at the same time.
