Chapter 73
As soon as the meeting was over, Levi and Logan decided to be off for the rest of the day. They felt exhausted but it was all worth it as they finally closed the deal with the investors. Logan even told him that they are going to have dinner in his apartment.
Levi went immediately inside his bedroom as soon as he arrived, and he was about to put his wristwatch in the drawer when he noticed something in there. His eyebrows were drawn together when he saw his credit card.
He told Amelia to take it with her so that she could buy some stuff for herself. He started to worry that Amelia had no money to use and buy things that she wanted. He couldn’t help but wonder why the woman didn’t take it with her.
He quickly changed his suit and then he wore short pants paired with a plain white t-shirt. He then went to the living room to wait for Amelia. He couldn’t believe that the woman didn’t listen to him. So, what would she be buying? She had been out for a while now and he couldn’t help but feel bad if she was just looking at Harper as the woman shopped for herself.
And he was not mistaken when saw Amelia come home, she had one bag in her hands. Since he told her to buy swimwear for him, he was sure that it was his swimwear that was inside the bag. Amelia didn’t buy anything for herself.
The woman didn’t take his credit card and she was in the shopping mall almost the whole day but she almost went back home empty-handed. Thankfully, he requested a swimwear and the woman brought something back home.
He didn’t know but he was unable to control himself when he said those words towards the woman. He couldn’t just understand what her purpose was for doing that. He looked like a boyfriend who didn’t care for his girlfriend.
Levi saw the shock registered in Amelia’s face. He stood up and pulled her into his embrace. He didn’t know what he should be doing. He only wanted to give the best for Amelia, but she seemed to be not accepting that. He couldn’t understand why after what happened to the two of them, there was still a reservation on the part of the woman.
He hugged her so tight as if he didn’t want to let him go. He admitted that he was scared that the woman would run away again from him soon. He didn’t want that to happen again. He couldn’t afford to lose Amelia for the second time around.
“Please, don’t be stubborn. If I told you to spend my money for yourself then do it. Don’t have any second thoughts. I love you, Amelia. Please, I am begging you to come back into my life. I will never leave me again or I will die,” he said and then he was unable to control the emotions that were inside his chest. He started to sob into her shoulder.
Levi let himself cry on Amelia's shoulders. He couldn’t help himself but to let out everything that he felt at the moment. He didn’t care what Amelia would think about him but he just liked to cry his heart out.
Who could blame her?
First, Amelia left her without a word. Then Cameron abandoned him when he needed her the most and aside from that the woman made unnecessary noise that didn’t contribute positively in his recovery.
Those things were really traumatizing but again after three years, he was led back to Amelia which made him think that probably, they were the one who were meant for each other like what Elene was saying.
"Shhh ... Don't cry," he heard Amelia say as she was helping him to go and sit back on the couch where he was laid down earlier.
“I am sorry if I didn’t get your card and used it. Honestly, I forgot to take it and I also have a card, so you really don’t have to do that, and I am not in the mood to buy something for myself. And besides, I really enjoyed coming with Harper and Leonard,” Amelia exclaimed.
He departed his body to Amelia and then he held her cheeks. He wanted to stare at her face forever. That was exactly what he was feeling at the moment.
If only he would be allowed, he wanted to spend all his time with her.
“Amelia, can we be officially boyfriend and girlfriend now?” He saw Amelia’s eyebrows raised when she heard what he said.
She shook her head while she was smiling.
“Aren’t you being so fast, Mr. Alvarez?” Amelia said while looking at him.
Levi scratched his head. He knew that he was being so fast, but he couldn’t help it since something already happened between the two of them.
“Alright, I will court you again just like what I did before,” he said and then he crossed the distance of their lips. He felt Amelia was responding to his kiss. Their tongues were like swords inside their mouths. They were intertwining with each other. Levi never tasted so sweet like her lips.
Levi felt like he was starting to burn inside. He was starting to lose control of himself as his hand was starting to caress Amelia’s body. He didn’t notice that his hand was already inside her shirt. He gently squeezed her soft breast which was still covered by her brassiere. He could feel that the woman was also getting aroused because of what was happening to the two of them.
“Uhm…” Amelia moaned and that made him more thrilled. He felt that a thousand volts was flowing inside his body.
Levi unhooked her bra after their mouth separated. He could see the desire in her eyes, so he lifted Amelia’s tank until her neck. Amelia was just looking at him as if she was waiting for his next action
