Chapter 54

It was as if he didn’t care about the things that were going around him. Amelia was even thinking if Levi was aware that it was Cameron who had been assisting him since earlier. He looked like he was not himself.

Cameron insisted on coming with them to Levi's parent’s house. After they arrived, he became mute. No words came out from his mouth since they were in the chapel until they arrived home.

She just let him be since she somewhat understood his situation. Probably, Levi was still shocked and still in the denial stage of his father’s loss. But she was hoping that the man would be back to normal again.


And when everything was done, she put him on the bed while Cameron was standing behind her. She couldn’t believe that she didn’t even offer to help her to transfer Levi in the bed. This man got heavier but he didn’t even hold her arms. He just let her do it all alone.

“Be careful. Don’t hurt him,” Cameron uttered that made her more irritated. Why didn’t she help so that Levi will be safe from getting hurt? She couldn’t believe that she was going to hear these words from her. Wasn't she the one who had hurt Levi? She was the one who caused a lot of pain to the man? As she abandoned him and then she made stories about their relationship.

Amelia just swallowed her saliva as she tried to relax herself by biting her lower lips. She held herself not to say a word that she might just regret in the end. She didn’t want to stoop down to her level. She knew her very well and that should serve like a warning to her. Cameron was capable of breaking lives and that would be the last thing that she would like to happen.
She was content with her life and there would be no way that she would let this woman drag her name to shame.

So, even if her anger spiked inside her for this woman, she wouldn’t do anything. She would just let her do whatever she wanted to do.

When she finally laid him down on the bed, she started to pull his pants down.

“What’s that nasty smell? It’s disgusting,” Cameron said, full of disgust in her tone. It was as if the woman was not sensitive enough to think about how Levi would feel because of her words. She felt that she was even irritated when she suddenly smelled the foul odor.

“Well, it’s from Sir Levi. He poops,” she simply said without looking at the woman who was standing next to her like her superior. She was like a supervisor who was trying to check if she was doing the right thing.

Amelia wanted to zip her mouth not to say anything, but she couldn’t restrain herself, so this woman knew that Levi needed care.

She stood up and went to the washroom to get the diaper and wet wipes to clean Levi. She also took a wet towel with warm water on a basin.

She could hear that Cameron was about to throw up because of the sounds that she was making. She just bit her lips as she tried to control herself not to mock the woman. She was brave to say that she wanted to help Levi and yet she couldn’t even stand this.

She looked at Levi. She saw his gaze was on Cameron. She wanted to tell him to look at the woman who he was about to marry. She couldn’t even stand his smell and yet he still let her stay by his side all day long in the chapel at his father’s burial.

When she was finally done cleaning Levi’s private part, she let him wear his pants. Amelia went inside of the washroom and then she cleaned her hands.
Then she cleaned the washroom and all the things that they have used. She stepped out of the washroom and she saw Cameron was lying down next to Levi.

She didn’t know what she would be feeling. Earlier she was disgusted and now the man was clean, she had the audacity to lie down next to him. She didn’t know why she felt irritated and she wanted to pull the woman away from Levi and then send her out of the room.

Amelia went to the couch, and she sat down there. She took a deep breath as she remembered the time when she was sleeping next to Levi just like last night as that was what Levi wanted. She was sure that the door was locked as she didn’t want anyone to see them except in his penthouse.

Tonight would be the second night that they would be staying at his parent’s house.

She couldn’t help but look at the two who were lying down on the bed. Cameron was taking pictures of which she didn’t know if Levi was reacting on the snapshot. Or probably, he was already asleep.

Amelia was unable to sleep as she kept on turning on the couch. Probably, because she was used to sleeping next to Levi.
