Chapter 50
It was his mother who was calling so he immediately swiped the answer button.

He was hoping to hear very good news from her, that's why she was calling that early morning. How he wished he could replace his mother from watching over his father. He knew that she also needed to take a rest.

“Hello, Mom? How is dad?” He asked as soon as their call got connected.

“Hello, son. He is still in a coma,” his mother said which made him feel like his heart was being crushed.

It was painful to hear that, but he had to be brave for his mother and himself. He knew that his father was fighting so he should be doing the same as well.

“How about the surgery?” He asked again. There was a major operation that would be done to his father and yet, he couldn’t be there with his mother.

“They will be doing it at twelve noon,” his mother answered. He could feel that his mother was just trying to sound that she was okay even if everything that was happening to them were already so much to bear.

“I hope I can be there,” he said in a low voice and was trying his best not to be emotional.
“Don’t worry son, your brother is coming,” his mother said. He could sense the excitement in his mother’s voice.

“Really, mom? Logan is coming? I am so happy to hear that. I am so excited to see him. It has been a long time,” Levi couldn’t hide his excitement as well just like how excited his mother was.

“You can come here so you can meet him,” his mother suggested. He could feel the eagerness to go to the hospital and meet his brother.

He looked at the papers that were piled in front of him, but he knew that he had to meet his brother. This paper works should be able to wait.

After this incident with their father, he would not have any idea when Logan would be with them again so he couldn’t let this chance slip. He had to go to the hospital and be with the rest of the family while the surgery was ongoing.

His mother needed his support even if his sibling was already there.

“Yes, mom. I am definitely coming there,” he said and then after that he looked at Amelia. He could see her eyebrows were drawn together and her eyes were full of questions. Probably, the woman was wondering why suddenly he looked happy.

As soon as the call ended with his mother, he turned to Amelia and then he talked to her.
“We are going to the hospital. My brother is coming there,” he said as he couldn’t contain the emotions that were inside his heart.

If only he could walk, he knew that he had already jumped because of happiness. He never thought that the man would show up again. It had been so long since the last time that they had talked to each other.

“Your brother?” Amelia mumbled with confusion in her voice. He could see the curiosity in her face as if she couldn’t believe what he had said.

He nodded and the excitement couldn’t be hidden in his face.

“Yes. He is my brother. He had been away from us since he was fifteen years old.”

“Really? Where did he stay then?”

“Well, in our cruel grandfather.”

After her replied, Levi saw a sudden unexplainable expression that crossed Amelia’s face.

“Is there something wrong?” He couldn’t help but ask her.

“No, nothing,” Amelia responded while she was shaking her head.

“Oh, if that's so then I think we can go,” he suggested and then they went again to the private room so they could go up in the penthouse. They went to the exit door where the helipad was, and the chopper was already waiting for them.

Levi already informed the pilot as soon as the call with his mother ended. He knew that in a few minutes, they would be landing in the hospital helipad.

And, he was right, just after a few minutes in the air, they were already going down to his father’s private room.

He saw his mother in the other room and that only a glass wall was a barrier between his father’s room. His heart was breaking into two when he saw the tube that was connected to his father’s body.

"Mom…"

"Son," his mother gave him a hug as soon as she saw him.

"Where's Logan?" He quickly asked when he noticed that the man was not yet around. He thought that the man would be there once they arrived.

“He is with Henry. They are talking to the doctor,” his mother was still talking when the door suddenly opened on the other side of the room where his father was.

The nurses and the doctors came inside along with Henry.

Levi couldn’t help but frown because he couldn’t see Logan inside.

“Mom, please don’t cry,” he said to his mother while they were following the nurses and the doctors along with his father.

“I I--- don’t know, son. I don’t know if I can survive if your father will leave us. I couldn’t live without him by my side,” his mother said, full of emotions.

“Mom, please don’t say that. Dad is going to survive. He is a strong man and I know that he wanted to see me walk again,” he said as he tried to comfort his mother.

Levi and his mother were outside of the operating room when he noticed the person that was approaching the direction where they were.

“L--- Logan,”

“Levi,” they both hugged each other, and he noticed the little boy beside him. “And who is that handsome kid?” He asked as he had no idea, or he couldn’t remember if his brother already had a child.

“Didn’t he look like you when you were still young?”
