He shook his head while watching the interview.

“Oh, no. Henry is only my co-teacher. As you know, I just broke up with my engagement with Mr. Alvarez. Maybe, it will take some time for me to be in a relationship like that again,” Cameron said the last line in a very low voice. It was as if she was really saddened by what happened with their engagement. And Levi just felt irritated. He didn’t realize that he was already holding the phone tightly until Amelia spoke from behind.

“If you want to win her back then you have to go back to normal. You are not Hulk to break a phone. Unless, you are going thru it,” Amelia’s words brought him back from his sanity.

As he was focused on what he was watching, he didn’t notice her presence in the dining room. The woman was already behind him, and it was very obvious that she was also watching the interview.

“Yes, you are right. I need to move on,” he said in a cracked tone on his serious face. There was no more reason for him to hold on and besides, Cameron was already doing great. The least thing that he could do for himself was to be able to walk again. He couldn’t be crippled forever.

“Did I tell you to move on?” Amelia said in a sarcastic voice. “I just said that you need to go back to normal and from there you can court her and win her heart again.”

“And, who told you that I want to court her and win her back?” He said as he couldn’t believe what he had heard from Amelia. How could she think about that after everything that Cameron did to him? Was this how everyone was thinking about him? He wanted to be okay because he wanted that wicked woman back. Hell, no! He would like to recover so he wanted to see her regretting leaving him during the darkest time of his life.

Levi wanted to make Cameron see that her decision to dump him was totally wrong. That it was the greatest mistake she had done.


“Oh, I am sorry. I thought that’s what you wanted. Who could tell when you see her, your past can be rekindled?” She even said which made him more irritated. It was as if Amelia didn’t know what she was talking about.

He shook his head, and he didn’t hide the irritation that he was feeling because of what the woman was saying.

“Oh, God. Can you please stop being silly?” He said as he felt more irritated the more the woman was speaking. “Please hand me my medicine.”

They were already outside of the living room when they heard a honk coming from the outside of the house.

“Well, I guess, that could be Sandi already,” Amelia mumbled.
His eyebrows were drawn together and looked at the woman. “Who is Sandi?” He asked with his forehead knitted.
“Your doctor,” the woman simply answered.

“Oh, I didn’t know that you are close to Doctor Sandoval. And you just called him by his name,” he said in a sarcastic tone.
Levi saw when Amelia raised her eyebrows as a reaction by what he had said.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you? He is my colleague,” the woman said to him.

“Yes and since you are not in the hospital. Does that mean you can call him by his name?” He replied and he was obviously insinuating something.
Amelia scoffed at him. She looked like she couldn’t believe everything that she had heard from him.

“You are just being unreasonable.”

“Whatever,” he replied as the main door suddenly opened.
It was the doctor and Uncle Mon who got inside of the house.

The doctor smiled as soon as he saw him.

“Good morning, Mr. Alvarez,” he greeted him.
“Good morning, Doc,” he said to him.
“It seems like Mr. Alvarez is already getting well. You look more handsome,” the doctor said which made him smile.


“Oh, yes, especially if you have a beautiful personal nurse and at the same time a therapist,” he said without looking at the woman.

“Oh, of course! Miss Amelia is a gem to take care of,” the doctor said.
“Don’t tell me no one is taking care of her?” He said and then he looked at Amelia standing next to him.

It was already a chance for him to know the answer to the question that was popping inside his head.

“Well, she’s very choosy and as far as I know no one has passed her standards yet,” the doctor said which made him stunned. He couldn’t believe that the woman was still single.

“Meaning to say, she is still single. All I thought is that she is already married. As I had in my mind that the man who had her heart is really lucky.”

“Hello, I am here. Can you please stop talking about me? Doctor Sandoval aren’t you here to check the patient and not to talk about anyone’s life? I really had no idea that men do love to gossip as well,” Amelia said, and it was very obvious that the woman was already irritated.

“Wow. Chill! I think Doctor Sandoval is a good doctor. I like him to be my doctor, I would learn a lot of things from him,” he said and it was very obvious in his tone that he was teasing her.

“Yes, Amelia. Just chill. I only said that you are picky, nothing else,” the doctor explained to her.

Amelia rolled her eyes. “Go and check this patient. Then you may go,” Amelia said which made all of them laugh even Uncle Mom who they didn’t notice was standing not far from them. The old man was unable to hold his laughter.

After that Doctor Sandoval started to check him.

“We didn’t make a mistake choosing you. I can see a big improvement in Mr. Alvarez,” the doctor said to Amelia.
