Chapter 84
“Yes, you are the most beautiful woman in my eyes. You are more beautiful than any other woman and I know that my heart wouldn’t look into anyone else in this world,” Levi replied while he was still looking at her. She felt like she was a melting candle because of his stares.
Amelia smiled in response to what he said. But she couldn’t understand herself because she was not satisfied with the answer that she heard from him. She didn’t know why. And then she suddenly remembered what she heard inside the toilet at the shopping mall when she was with Harper and Leonard and even the scene at the shop. She couldn’t imagine that Levi was saying all these things to her but there was also something that was going on between him and Cameron.
But would Levi do that to her? As far as she knew, Levi was not that kind of man. So, she should just relax.
“Shall we go?” Levi’s voice dragged her out from her deep thoughts.
She nodded her head and then she held the handle of his wheelchair.
“Yes,” and then she went behind Levi to push his wheelchair.
Amelia rang the doorbell once. It didn’t take time and they heard the sound of the shoes approaching. It was Logan who opened the door.
The man was stunningly handsome even with his simple outfit. She couldn’t help but look at him. She could see that the siblings have their unique way for carrying themselves. These two men had almost the same height.
“Oh, hi,” he greeted them as soon as he opened the door. “Come in. How are you, Amelia? By the way, thank you for coming with Harper and Leonard in the mall earlier,” Logan added.
She smiled at the man. “Don’t mention it. I am glad that I actually went with them. At least, I was able to unwind even just for a couple of hours,” she replied.
He just nodded and then he turned to his brother.
“Hi, bro,” Logan greeted his brother, Levi.
“I am sorry. We took so long,” Levi apologized.
“No, you are just right on time. The table is ready,” Logan said as he opened the door widely for him.
As soon as they entered the house, the aroma of the dishes was mouth-watering. Amelia could hear her stomach start to grumble, especially she was feeling exhausted because of what happened to her and Levi.
"Hmmm … What's that smell? I feel like my stomach is rumbling and that I wanted to be filled by that aromatic smell of your dish," Levi mumbled as soon as they walked inside of the house. She also noticed that taunting smell. It made her mouth watery and crave for it.
They went straight to the dining room as Logan led them. They found Harper putting Leonard in his baby's chair.
They greeted Harper and Leonard. The little boy was busy playing with his new toy. She put the box of cake on the table that was brought by Henry earlier, when they were dressing up.
Logan called his assistant to buy a cake so they could bring it to Logan's place. He didn’t want to go in there empty-handed.
When Amelia saw the table, she felt hungrier.
On the table were lechon de carajay, roasted chicken, mushroom soup, chopsuey, and plain white rice.
It really smelled so good that she already wanted to sit down and start to eat. The last meal that she had was at the shopping mall when she was with Harper and Leonard. She had used up all her energy earlier because of what she and Levi had done.
“Come on, guys. Let sit down and start to eat while the food is still hot,” Logan suggested. They all sat down and then he helped Logan to transfer from his wheelchair to the chair. The man put the dish on her plate and then after that to himself. She saw the eyes of the two people in front of them. They were both looking at them, but they didn’t say anything.
They all started to eat their meal.
“Wow, the dishes are really mouth-watering,” Levi uttered while looking at the dishes. She looked at Harper. “Did you cook all of these?” The man asked while staring at Harper.
A timid smile was shown on her lips. It looked like she really had prepared everything for them and she couldn’t help but admire the woman. She had her way to a man’s heart through his stomach.
But at the same time, she could see that she was ashamed because they noticed that she prepared everything that they were seeing on top of the table.
“Wow, Harper! Your future husband is very lucky to have you. You can definitely take care of him and his meal,” she praised Harper while she was smiling. She tasted the food, and she could say that it tasted really good.
Amelia saw when Harper’s face turned red because of what she said. The woman looked down as if she couldn’t face them.
“Logan is very lucky to have you in his life,” Levi said after he started to devour the lechon de carajay. “Hmm… It is so crispy, and it tastes so good,” he added while he was biting the food.
"Come on! Just eat. Don’t talk too much," Logan uttered something that made them laugh.
Logan was just shaking his head because of the teasing that was happening at the table.
They were in the middle of their meal when they heard the doorbell ring.
“Let me go and check it,” Harper suggested but after a while, they heard a voice of a woman who was yelling outside.
She saw Logan stood up from his seat and the commotion was getting louder from the outside.
Amelia was about to stand up to check what was going on, but Levi held her hand.
“Just stay where you are. Don’t go and just leave them,” he murmured. She just listened to him though she felt that something was wrong. But she chose to listen to Levi since he was right, it was none of her business.
