Chapter 72
Chapter 72
Amelia didn’t know what she should be thinking. Would she really have to be affected with what she had heard from Cameron? Or would she believe what Levi was showing to her?
Her mind and her heart were starting to fight each other.
“Let’s go,” Harper’s voice brought her back to her senses.
“Oh, yes but Levi just texted me. I need to go to the swimwear section. He was asking me to buy swimwear for him,” she said to Harper.
Harper’s eyebrows were raised.
“Wow. So, he is determined to go back in the swimming competition, huh?
She nodded. “Yes, he is indeed,” she replied, and she didn’t say anything about Levi’s inspiration. She was thinking probably she just misunderstood the man and Levi was really referring to something else.
She couldn’t just let herself assume that Levi was into her. She should remind herself that the woman to whom the man had proposed was about to come back.
She would never know what Levi’s reaction about it would be once the man saw Cameron in front of him.
With Cameron’s personality, she could say that the woman would do everything just to take back Levi. She would be willing to step on anyone that would hinder her way to the man.
They were busy choosing a swimwear outfit for Levi when a group of women arrived.
“You know what? I still clearly remember when I was with Levi. We used to go here. We will be buying swimwear which he would be using for his competitions,” the familiar voice said and even though she wouldn’t turn her head to look at the owner of the voice, she knew that it was no other than Cameron.
Amelia couldn’t believe how the woman recalled everything that she had done with Levi. She wondered if she could still remember clearly as well how she put the man in shame? As she spread lies on national TV through her interviews.
She couldn’t help but feel her tiny hair stand up because of everything that she was saying.
“Hey, she’s here,” Harper whispered in a low voice from her behind. Her voice was just enough for the two of them to hear.
She just smiled and then when she turned around to show Harper the color of the trunks that she picked, she almost fell.
“Wow, that’s a nice color,” a voice came out from Harper and Cameron.
Amelia smiled at Cameron.
“Thank you,” she uttered.
“You are welcome,” Cameron replied. She was glad that the woman didn’t recognize them.
Amelia didn’t know where she got her calmness because she couldn’t deny to herself that she felt annoyed with Cameron. She knew that she had no right but she couldn’t just take all the things that she had said in the washroom earlier and then add the things that she said inside the restaurant.
And now she was in the swimwear section? What was she trying to plan? Was she going to buy swimwear for Levi?
This woman was so proud of herself like she was the first woman in Levi’s life. She was so confident that Levi would accept her back after everything that she had done to him.
Amelia knew that she left Levi as well back then, but she had her reasons unlike this woman who abandoned Levi because she thought that the man would be crippled forever.
“Cameron, so how’s Levi going? Are his legs okay now? Can he go back to swimming?”
She saw when the woman nodded her head.
“Well, yes according to my source. He is getting better now, and he is always at his mother’s place every Saturday.”
“Wow, you are updated, huh? So, what’s your plan?”
“I am going to surprise him there one day,” she saw Cameron was smirking while looking at the two-piece swimwear that were displayed at the store.
“Serious? She has a spy?” Harper whispered next to her again.
She just shrugged her shoulders.
Amelia couldn’t believe that Cameron would be acting like Levi’s stalker after he had dumped the man.
“I don’t know. But maybe?”
“When are you going to start your movie? I heard that you are going to shoot a movie, right?” She heard one of Cameron’s companies ask the woman.
She didn’t know if these people followed them and purposely annoyed her. But Amelia didn’t wait for Cameron to respond, she quickly held Harper’s wrist and they walked fast heading to the cashier.
Amelia couldn’t take all the things that Cameron was about to say. She was so happy with everything that she had when she got them because she had to ruin Levi’s reputation.
It was already past three in the afternoon when they finally arrived home. She helped Harper to bring home all their shopping bags as the driver couldn’t take it all in Logan’s apartment.
“Thank you, Amelia,” Harper said as she put one of the bags in their apartment. The woman was smiling at her.
“Don’t mention it. I love to go shopping with you. In fact, I want to go again with you when we have some time,” she replied.
“But you didn’t get anything for yourself?” Harper said while looking at her.
She smiled again at her.
“It’s okay. Alright, I need to get going now. Mr. Alvarez might already be home and he might already need me,” she said as they heard the sound of the television in one of the bedrooms in the apartment.
“Right. It seems like Logan is already home as well,” she said.
Amelia left Logan’s place and then she went up to the penthouse.
As soon as the elevator door opened, she saw Levi lying down on the sofa.
As soon as Levi saw her, his forehead knitted while looking at her.
“What did you get? Didn’t I tell you to bring my credit card in the drawer? Next to my bed? What will Logan think that I am stingy to my woman?” Levi said in a firm tone and that was something that she never heard before from him.
