Chapter 95

Finally, Luke was stable and Amelia felt relieved. She couldn’t imagine what would happen to her if something happened to her son.

She had been working so hard but if anything happened to Luke that would all go in vain. She felt guilty because she was not on her son’s side every day. How she wished she could, but she couldn’t stop from working. She had to ensure that his future was secured and the only way that she could save was for her to work.
She excused herself to her mother. She was going to the washroom since they didn’t get a ward to stay. They just have to finish Luke’s IV and they should be good to go. Thankfully, that was all that was needed.

She couldn’t describe how her heart was beating earlier when she received the call from her mother and learned that her child was rushed to the hospital.

“Mom, I will just go to the washroom,” she said to her mother. She decided to message or call Levi to inform him that she was in the hospital so the man wouldn’t be shocked or worry why she was not at home. She didn’t want to give the man a reason to think anything. She knew that he was scared to be left behind and that was the last thing that she wanted to happen.
Amelia was well-aware of Levi’s trauma when he was abandoned for the second time around and that was what she didn’t want him to feel again. She wanted to take care of Logan this time and she wanted to fight for the love that they have. Back then, she was young, and she didn’t know anything about life. But now, she was ready to fight for her love.

She met the man’s eyes looking at her. Amelia could see the questions in Logan’s eyes.

“What are you doing here, Amelia?” The man broke the silence that was between the two of them.

She was startled. Why all of the people that she should be seeing at the hospital, it has to be Logan?

"Ahmm…" She uttered as she didn’t know what to say. She was not prepared for this kind of encounter. It never entered her mind that there would be a chance that she would see someone when she was with Luke. She was very careful.

“I saw him. He is your son, right?” The man said while looking still at her.

Amelia knew that she was already caught in the corner. There’s no sense to hide it anymore so she nodded her head in response to Logan’s question. Logan was looking at her as if he already knew the truth, but he only wanted to confirm it in her own lips.

Amelia wanted to scold herself because of not being careful. How did Logan see her and Luke?

“Ye--- yes,” she replied in a soft voice while her heart was pounding so fast inside her ribcage. She felt like there were a couple of drums that were rolling inside her chest and she felt that her chest could collapse any moment.

“D--- did Levi know about him?” Logan asked while he was not removing his gaze from her.

She shook her head. She would be pleading to Logan if she had to. “Please, don’t tell him,” she said in a begging voice to Logan. She would start to tell Logan everything. She was afraid that Loganr might misunderstand everything about Luke. She was just waiting for the right time until she found the right words to say everything to Levi.

“Amelia, we need to talk in private,” Logan said in a low voice, but he was serious. Like she couldn’t decline his request and she knew that he had a right to talk to her since Levi was his brother.

She nodded her head.
“Just let me use the washroom and talk to my mother,” she replied to the man.
“Take your time and I will be waiting for you outside,” he said.

Amelia was looking at Logan’s broad shoulders as the man walked away from her. She quickly went to the washroom. She quickly got inside and locked herself in one of the cubicles.

She took her phone, and she quickly sent a message to Levi. She would inform the man so she wouldn’t get worried once he found out that she was not at home. She didn’t want the man to think about her.

“Hi, babe. Where are you?” She saw Levi was typing his response to her.
“Still at work, babe. What’s up?”
“I am sorry to disturb you,” she said.
“It’s okay. Everything okay?” Levi asked.
“Actually, I am not at home. There’s an emergency. My mother called me and she’s in the hospital,” she responded.
“Why? What happened? Is everything okay? Is she alright?”
“Yes. There’s nothing to worry about. I just need to accompany my mother for a while. I might get back home a little bit late,” she said to Levi.

“Sure, take your time. If you need any help, just send me a message or better call me,” Levi said.

“Sure, I will. Thank you.”

It didn’t take time and she went back to where her mother and Luke were staying.
“Mom, I am just going to talk to someone outside the hospital while Luke is still sleeping. You take a nap until the drops are done. Then, we will go home,” Amelia said to her mother.
She was thankful that she was with her because if not, she didn’t know how to face the situation.
Her mom always reminded her that she had to be strong for her son and she should not show any weakness to him.

Her mother nodded in response.

“Yes, dear. Take care.”
“I will get back after a few minutes,” she said and then she left the room.

She went outside of the hospital and then she saw the red Ferrari outside of the hospital.
