Chapter 63


Amelia stood up and then after that she started to put creams at Levi’s feet and legs. The man hugged her in her waist. He lifted his head.
He could see a lot of emotions in her eyes and he wanted to envelope her again inside his arms. Everything happened so quickly, and he never thought even in his wildest dream that this would happen.
“Thank you,” he said to her while looking at Amelia. Levi couldn’t describe what exactly he was feeling at the moment. His heart was swelling with joy because of everything that happened.
The fire inside his body finally subsided but his heart was still beating differently. He never felt this way even to the woman whom he had proposed to at a wedding. He only felt it towards Amelia.
“For what?” Amelia asked while her eyebrows furrowed as she met his gaze. He could hear a trace of wonder in her voice and he could understand why.
There had been no exchange of words that happened between the two of them. As he was just thinking that whatever they feel inside and whatever they both thought that moment couldn’t be described by words.
Levi smiled.
He knew to himself that there was no way that he was going to let the woman go. If she would run away like what she did three years ago, then he would follow her. If he had to search the whole world, he would be doing that. He wouldn’t let what happened three years ago happen again. He would be spending all the money that he had just to bring her back in her arms again.
But silently, he was hoping that there was no more reason for the woman to run away. He hoped that he was enough for her to stay.
“For being there, from the beginning even if I had been rude to you but you remained professional and you have been so patient with me,” he said in a low voice. He wanted to hug her again, but he restrained himself.
Amelia just smiled at him. “It’s my job. You don’t have to thank me. That’s why you hire me as your personal therapist and personal nurse as well,” she said while looking at him as well.
Levi’s eyebrows both lifted when he heard what she had said then he nodded his head.
“So, you mean including what we did in the washroom?” He asked in a teasing voice.
Levi saw the redness in her face. It was obvious that the woman was embarrassed of what happened between the two of them.
“I am sorry for what I have said. But whatever happened between the two of us, let me take the responsibility. Please, don’t leave me anymore. Don’t run away like what you have done before,” he said in a cracked voice. He couldn’t hide his emotions anymore. He knew the love that he felt three years ago for the woman. Suddenly, he felt that if he said a word that was not acceptable for her, she would be going to leave him again and that was the last thing that he wanted to happen.
He saw a line in her lips, and he felt delighted. She smiled so it means that she was glad of what she heard. He was happy even though she didn’t say anything. He would just assume that the woman was feeling the same towards her.
To his surprise, Amelia kissed his forehead. She didn’t say a word and yet she made him feel so special. Those actions were enough for him to feel like he was melting. It never happened to him before.
He couldn’t believe what was happening to him. It was as if he was losing himself for everything that happened between him and Amelia. It was as if it was the first time that something happened between the two of them.
Levi smiled secretly to himself because he was acting like a teenager who was able to have a first based on the woman he liked.
“Come on, let’s sleep,” Amelia said to him. Levi could feel that his heart was swelling in joy. And there were a lot of emotions inside him which he couldn’t contain.
His eyebrows were knitted together when he suddenly remembered one thing.
“How about my medicine?” He said when he remembered that he hadn’t taken his medicine yet.
Her eyes went wide and then she covered her mouth. It was as if the woman just realized that he had not taken his medicine yet.
Levi couldn’t help but smile because of how cute her reaction was when she heard what he said. He could no longer deny to himself that Amelia was like his medicine. He felt better whenever the woman was around and when she wasn’t around just like what happened that day, he felt like he was going to lose his mind because of thinking too much about her.
“Oh, sorry. Yes, let me get that now,” she said and then she quickly moved without looking back at him. She saw how her face turned to red and he shook his head.
“But babe, I still didn’t wear my pajamas,” Levi was holding the laughter that wanted to come out from him. He could see that Amelia was confused because of what happened to the two of them and she didn’t know what she was doing.
It was as if she had lost herself because of what happened to the two of them. He wanted to laugh but he didn’t want to make the woman feel uncomfortable, so he did his best to hold back the laughter.
“Oh, shit! I am sorry,” Amelia apologized and then she immediately helped him wear his pants and shirt.
Levi couldn’t help but chuckled as he could see that Amelia was being quick in everything that she was doing.
“Chill, babe. There’s no need to rush,” he said to her.
