Chapter Hundred-and-Forty-Three

**Third Person POV**

There were so many things Irvette could not understand and the most recent was why her father had killed Napoleon.

“Are you even sure he's dead?” she asked her father, hands akimbo. Compared to losing the twins, what her father had done was a lot worse. They needed King Napoleon if they wanted to achieve their goal.

“I stabbed him very deep. I am certain he will not survive,” said George.

“And…and why did you? It makes no sense…”

“You don't see me asking you why you lost the twins, do you? You do not get to reprimand me, okay?” returned George in an angry tone.

Irvette was also always quick to forget that this was not her cause, it was her father's and if it was necessary he would end her life too.

“Okay.”

“By the way, I killed Harlin too,” George said in a casual tone as though he were telling her that he had brought over some food. Irvette blinked her eyes before any tears could surface. She knew her father was watching her, and trying to check if she held any reservations over what he had done to her husband.

“I see,” came her response.

“And the Council of Elders know you are returning home to claim my throne,” he was still looking at her eyes; doing his best to give her emotions.

“I am? I mean… I'm going home?” quipped Irvette. She did not feel like she deserved home. She simply could not return to that palace and see it as her home anymore.

“My sisters, they are fine?” asked Irvette.

“Why do you care?”

“I… I… I just, I just want to know,” responded Irvette. She had killed her mother and assisted her father in killing her brothers but she wasn't sure she could tolerate any more deaths. She had tried to stay strong but if her sisters were dead too then she could not continue this.

“Their souls are of no value to me yet but when I need them…” George allowed the rest of the words to hang in the air.

“And me? What about me? When will you need my soul?” Irvette stared her father directly in the eye. She had wanted to ask him this question a very long time ago and she wanted an answer now.

“Interesting question princess but right now I need your soul back in the blood moon pack. You will return home and claim my throne,” came George's reply.

“And Nydia? What are you going to do to her?” asked Irvette. She did not like the other lady very much but that did not mean she wanted her dead.

“I have an errand for her,” replied George, a sardonic smile spread on his face.

“You want me to go under?” Nydia had a look of disbelief and horror on her face.

“Is there a problem with that?” inquired George.

“Go under? You are asking me if there is a problem with that. What the fuck…” a resounding slap reverberated on her cheeks. Nydia was in shock. She looked at George, horrified.

“When you came to me, you said you were going to do anything possible to place Regina in the same hell that you are in, what changed?” questioned George.

Nydia could not believe her ears. When she had come to George she wanted badly for Regina to suffer. She had not known that things were going to involve going to the underworld and now she was meant to go under. Now, it felt like the sacrifices she had made for this were no longer worth anything. How did he expect her to go under? He wouldn't send his precious Irvette there and he wanted her to go under? Tears began to run down her cheeks. She wanted Edvin. She wanted her big brother. She wanted to go back to when she was little and Edvin would beat up the boys that dared to bully her. Where was Edvin now? Where was her big brother? Where was her twin?

“What? Are you suddenly an idiot?” sneered George. Nydia, who was still too shocked to say anything, kept quiet.

“Don't worry, your lover should be down there in about a week. Your job there is really simple, okay? You will look for the twins and when you find them, you will hide them and keep them with you until I need them, okay?” questioned George.

Nydia looked at him but she was not seeing him. She was thinking about her twin brother. Why had they suddenly drifted apart? Why was there so much animosity between them? If he saw her now, would he rescue her?

“Damn it! Are you even listening to a word I'm saying?” asked George, his voice marked by frustration as Nydia continued to stare blankly at him.

“You are going down and nothing is going to change that. I am past pity, okay? I do not pity, so you will get your act together and do as I say,” snapped George but Nydia continued to look on as though her soul had escaped from her body.

“Father? What is it?” Irvette, who had been drawn by the noise, asked.

Irvette needed no answers. She could see that Nydia was no longer herself. The poor girl has blanked out.

“Nydia? Nydia? Are you in there?” Irvette shook Nydia slowly but she got no response. She dragged the girl into a seat and splashed a cup of cold water on her face but there was still nothing.

“Nydia?” Irvette called out softly again.

“He wants me to go under,” said Nydia in a shaky tone. Irvette breathed a sigh of relief.

“Hey, hey. Just remain calm, okay?” encouraged Irvette.

“Calm? He wants me to go under? You know what that means? He wants me to walk into my death. Once I am under, I can never surface again,” said Nydia, her tone still shaky.

“Why? You want her to…” Irvette turned to ask her father who slapped her across the face.
