Chapter Two-Hundred-and-Sixty-Five

**3rd Person POV**

Her name was Esmeralda.

She stopped so that Jude would climb her back.

Jude was still frightened.

Honestly, Father would be displeased if you continue behaving like this.

She was getting frustrated with Jude's cowardice.

It had been cute at first but they had been standing like this for about an hour and Jude still looked like he was terrified of her even though she had made it abundantly clear that she was not interested in hurting him.

Jude stepped back when he saw two giant dragons flying towards him. This time, he wet himself.

He's not saying anything.

He could hear them clearly although they were not speaking in the way that he was used to.

We thought you could not handle the vampire demon. One of the two said to Esmeralda.

I am Preston, this is Tanner. We're your brothers, we are not here to hurt you.

Let's just drag him.

You'll carry him and…

Not like that you idiot! You'll hurt him.

As if he's not scared already.

How come he's such a wimp.

On the count of one, two, three…

Lift him up already!

Hold on tight, Jude!

Perisphone’s soul had not been reincarnated alone through the birth of Regina in order to save the werewolf kind alone. She had been born to unite the entire earth. There were creatures that had gone into hiding because the two dominant kinds had been after them for so long—the werewolves and the vampires.

Regina had made several trips to the vale of the dragons; a place where only a handful of persons knew about. It was where the dragons had kept themselves away from the rest of the world.

She had come here the second she sensed Ashton had summoned powers from the depths of hell to break the ropes she had used to bind him.

She had come here because she had known this was the only way they could win against an uprising of zombies.

She had not known about the zombies until Lucian had told her.

She had been shocked when he had told her about it.

“Why did you never mention this?” She was even more surprised that he had kept such a thing to himself but she had forgotten that he was not just Lucian but Hades.

“Hell cannot interfere with what goes on here, I have done a lot by breaking the oath on Rosaline’s tongue. I cannot do more," was his response.

“They should be back any minute. I can usually trust Esmeralda with this sort of thing, she must have come against a difficult challenge,” said the Dragon King. His name was Kaelos and he was the only one of the dragons that possessed the ability to shapeshift at will.

“It is alright, King Kaelos but the matter is urgent,” said Regina. Even this minute she knew that Ashton would be desperately giving commands to his minions of zombies to attack.

They had to put an end to this before the virus would spread.

“I understand, that is why I have sent my sons to fetch them; they will return soon,” replied the Dragon king.

True to his words, four people entered the room.

Regina could spot three dragons and a vampire. She looked at the dragon king somewhat confused.

“Jude is my son. He's part dragon and part vampire. I thought it would be good for him to grow up there,” he explained away Regina's confusion.

“Apparently not. He's a wimp. We had to practically drag him here,” said Preston, one of the dragon princes.

“Where do you learn such words, Preston? My son is no wimp, he's only a bit confused,” the dragon king stood up and approached Jude who still looked terrified. The flight home had scared him so much that he had lost his voice to even scream his fears.

The dragon king stared directly into his son's eyes and muttered some words that no one could understand.

The dragon king stepped back and the transformation was immediate. It was as though a dragon burst out of Jude.

Jude felt a powerful energy course through his body. All his fears were exchanged for strength; he looked down and saw that he was a dragon. He was in awe of what had happened to him. He looked up and for the first time, he was met with the face of his father.

“Are you ready to lead the Dragons into battle?” asked the dragon king.

“Yes, father,” it was the first time he had ever addressed anyone as father but it did not feel strange. It felt like he had known this man standing in front of him forever. He looked behind him and at once he recognised his siblings.

“Go well, son. Your army will obey the command of your voice.”

Regina smiled; her work here was done.

Emily could not believe she had to push her wedding to Captain Thoma forward once more. She wanted all of this to be over so she could hand over her kingdom to her niece and start a new life with her lover. She was back once more in the vampire Kingdom. She had marched her soldiers to the Kingdom of Dome. There were at least eight werewolf kingdoms that were here with their armies to support the fight against Ashton. Although, this was not a number's fight; there was no denying the comfort that came with having a large army.

For Kristoff, this was a blessing in disguise. He knew it was selfish but he was grateful for the opportunity of being reconnected with Charlotte once more.

While the meeting on war strategies was ongoing, all he could think about was Charlotte. He missed her and he would…

“Prince Kristoff, you are known for fighting battles by setting up explosives; perhaps you can share how we might do this?”

Kristoff’s thoughts had returned to the meeting but he was confused.

“Explosives? huh? uhm… When I was in… We set up explosives at the passage we knew the enemy had no choice but to cross.”
