Chapter Three-Hundred-and-Thirty-Three
3rd Person POV
Euphrates' smiled. When she was Nydia, she would have needed a maid to clean this up but as Euphrates, all it took was a snap of her finger to clean up the mess that was about her. The next thing she had to do was send for Aurora. She would have to do a lot of work convincing everyone around her that she was not Nydia and that would mean repairing all her former relationships.
Aurora fluttered into the study, she had been summoned by the Fae Queen. She looked about the study but there seemed to be no evidence of the intense session that the Fae Queen had just had. Aurora knew it was because she had cleared the evidence. It made her wonder what Euphrates was hiding from her.
The only evidence of what had taken place here was Queen Euphrates' flushed cheeks.
“Please sit,” Euphrates' tone was kind and very unlike her bossy one. Aurora squinted her eyes in confusion but she obeyed her queen.
“I want to apologise for my harsh words earlier, I was… well, I was wrong,” the Fae Queen continued much to Aurora's surprise. The Fae Queen had never once apologised for anything. This was very strange and more so, Aurora could see through the facade—there was no sincerity in her words.
“Does that mean you will lift the ban on the Lord of the Sky?” asked Aurora.
“I will lift the ban on Lord Caephas,” said Queen Euphrates.
“What do you want me to do?” asked Aurora. She was not fooled by Euphrates’ sudden change in heart.
“I want to apologise to the Lord of the sky. I need you to compose a letter expressing my regrets at what I have done and tell him that I will arrange a meeting for him to see his love interest,” said the Fae Queen.
“And your marriage proposal to Lord Caephas? You are giving up?” questioned Aurora.
“I must not waste time. There are other powerful beings, Hades for instance has not taken a bride and there is the king of Time with two kingdoms—one in the sky and one in hell,” said Queen Euphrates'.
What Queen Euphrates said made sense to Aurora but she did not believe that the Fae Queen meant anything she was saying. Nevertheless, she did not question any of it. If Queen Euphrates remembered her past life and intended to use Fae's powers to take revenge on the people she hated, sooner or later, she would reveal her true colours.

There were now two joyous occasions to celebrate—the birth of Isabella and Charlotte's engagement to Kristoff. In order to show that there was solidarity between the Dark Moon pack and the Kingdom of Dome, King Armand and his wife, Queen Agatha had been invited to Isabella's christening along with Princess Gabriella.
Charlotte's engagement was well received in the Dark Moon pack as it was a hybrid pack. However, the same could not be said about the other werewolf packs, especially the Shadowclaw pack. However, their input was not necessary. The Dark Moon pack has always done as it pleases as it was not under the jurisdiction of the Council of Elders.
“We were betrothed as children,” said Kade when he saw Charlotte. He was Alpha Raphael's son and he had also helped the trio when they had been trapped in the Zombie cave.
“Get lost Kade, I wouldn't marry you if you were the last man on earth,” replied Charlotte. She had never once had feelings for Kade even though he had always been clear about his feelings for her.
“Don't you worry, I do not like you one bit,” said Kade, Charlotte followed his line of sight and her eyes settled on Rosaline, she was a vampire servant. She had provided valuable intel on Ashton.
“Good luck,” Charlotte said without much hope. She knew Alpha Raphael well, the man was set in his ways. There was no way he would allow his heir to marry a vampire and not just any vampire but a servant.
Meanwhile, Harlin was letting Gabriella know that he was ready to take their relationship to the next level.
“Not happening,” Queen Agatha butted in. The two were startled, they had not seen Agatha coming. Queen Agatha was still very angry that Kristoff had disobeyed her and instead of ending things with Charlotte, he had proposed to her. It was still bearable because she knew that Charlotte was hybrid and had a pint of vampire blood in her veins but the same could not be said about Prince Harlin.
“Mother!” exclaimed Gabriella.
“You can marry any man you want, Gaby but it will not be a werewolf,” spat Queen Agatha.
“He saved my life. He took a bullet for me, if it were not for him, Mother, I would be dead,” Gabriella reminded her mother of the sacrifice Harlin had made for her even though they had been strangers.
“Then what you feel for him is gratitude and not love, the two must not be mistaken,” said Agatha.
“Your Highness, if I may, I love your…”
“You may not, she will never be yours so the both of you had better stop fooling around,” said Queen Agatha, her voice marked with bitterness.
“Still angry with me, huh?” they all turned to see Elder Thaddeus.
“Stay the f*ck away from me!” exclaimed Agatha. She still had not forgiven Thaddeus for breaking her heart. She could never forgive him. Because of him, she was stuck in a marriage where her husband did not love her and had several mistresses. She was in a marriage where she could not bear to be intimate with her husband. Although she loved her husband's children and treated them like her own, she wanted no intimacy with King Armand or any other man.
“Can you excuse us?” Thaddeus asked the younger adults politely.
The two scurried away, grateful for the distraction.
