Chapter Three-Hundred-and-Thirty-Five
3rd Person Pov
Caephas was surprised to see Euphrates' letter of apology. He did not know what she was up to this time but he couldn't care less. He had sought out Jude, the newly installed Dragon king to help create a portal with which he could access Earth whenever he needed to so he tossed her letter aside. He was not to be moved by some cheap apology.
“You want me to invite them here?” quipped the Dragon king. He was puzzled by Caephas' sudden interest in the people here on earth.
“Make it a party to remember,” said Caephas.
“The problem is we do not associate with the rest of the beings here on earth,” said Jude.
“Your mother is a vampire, how did that happen?” inquired Caephas.
“My father was the Dragon king, as a king he is allowed to take a wife…”
“Then surely you would want to take a wife outside…”
“I have no intention of doing so, the dragons here are all I need.”
“You cannot close yourself off to…”
“Then why is the sky shut from us? You closed yourself up and not just that—you banished the Faes and the dragons to this place.”
Caephas was beginning to think that he was better off accepting Queen Euphrates' apology.
“The ban is not forever and it was punishment for a transgression…”
“A transgression? Those who committed the offence are long dead and yet their offspring who are innocent must suffer,” remarked Jude.
“I do not make the laws, Jude. You know that…”
“How does this benefit me or my kind?” asked Jude.
“I will reverse the ban, it will not be immediate but I'm certain we can find a way,” said Caephas. He could not believe he had stooped to this level just to see a woman. If the Sky people ever got wind that he had done this for a girl, it could pose some serious problems.
“You are not very convincing Lord Caephas but I will humour you. I will not host the party but you can use this place as a portal to access Earth whenever you need to see your lady friend,” said Jude.
“Lady friend?” quipped Caephas with an embarrassed blush. He had not mentioned anything about a lady friend.
“It's only love that can bring you to this point,” Jude stated the obvious.

Kade did not get a chance to speak to Rosaline throughout the engagement party. It was not because he had no opportunity to do so but because he was scared of approaching her. He had spent his youth passionately chasing Charlotte but it had led to nothing and he had been faced with rejection.
Now the party was all over and everyone was leaving for their respective packs. Rosaline it seemed would be returning to the Kingdom of Dome. After Ashton's defeat, she had begun living in the Kingdom of Dome as a lowly courtier in his court. She was basically a servant but a paid and free one. She could leave the employment of King Armand whenever she chose to.
Yet, Kade did not know how to approach her. She was so beautiful and so fiery-looking at the same time. Despite her low birth, she took no nonsense from anyone.
“Honestly man, just ask her out already,” Reginald whispered into his ears. Kade turned around surprised, he had not seen Reginald approaching him.
“She's so… I don't know,” said Kade with a shy smile.
“I cannot believe you were bold enough to speak with Charlie and you are anxious to speak to a girl of no noble birth,” remarked Reginald.
“She's a vampire,” said Kade.
“So? It doesn't mean she bites.”
But Kade only watched from afar as King Armand and his entourage piled up into their carriages. Reginald could not bear to see this happen so he walked up to King Armand himself.
“Your Majesty?”
“Reginald! There's no need for the formalities, we're going to be family soon enough,” commented King Armand with excitement.
“If you don't mind, I would like to speak to one of your people,” Reginald was looking at Rosalind as he said this.
“Go ahead!” Armand winked his encouragement. Reginald did not bother to correct the impression King Armand had already, he just wanted to help his friend.
“Miss Rosalind?” quipped Reginald drawing nearer to the lady.
“If this is about your friend tell him to address me himself,” she knew already.
“You know?”
“He's been watching me with his eyes for days, is he a creep?” she asked. Reginald could understand now why Kade had a hard time approaching this woman.
“He's not. He's actually a pretty sweet guy, can he write to you sometime?”
“Sure, whatever,” came her response. Reginald took it as a yes. He returned to Kade’s side to tell him the news.
“Someone's getting back out there,” it was Arabella who had snuck up behind him. He was happy to see her; they had become good friends since she had lost her father. He found that they had so much in common and she was now more than Harlin's annoying cousin. And now that his sister and best friend had found love interests he was grateful he had a friend to talk to when they couldn't be there for him.
“Trust me, I'm not. I still hurt physically when I think about Thippe,” returned Reginald. He had felt pain when he had lost his great-grandmother, Lady Tristan but this was much worse.
“I know. I miss my parents everyday too and nothing can replace that,” she added in a melancholic tone.
“Will it ever stop hurting?”
“I don't think so.”
“Are you two okay?” Harlin asked, both their faces looked depressed.
“Of course, when are you getting married Harlin?”
“Are you having a double wedding with Charlie?”
“Who’s having a double wedding?” Charlotte butted in.
“Queen Agatha just gave her consent for us to be together. We have to take things slow.”
