Chapter 112

Oliver’s POV

After dinner was done, I was exhausted. I knew tomorrow was going to be stressful but I also knew it was going to be a good nice and quiet ride. I was glad that Nathaniel was giving us a private jet to ride in. I couldn’t wait for Soma to wait up in our bed so she could see she was safe. I couldn’t wait to bring my pack in and welcome her the way she was supposed to be. I still regret not doing things because of being scared she was going to run on me, but now that I see she wasn't I should have acted faster. I just didn’t think Gideon would have made a move as he did and that was something he paid for with his life. It was one thing I could say I made sure he paid well.

Walking back to my room, I quickly went in and checked on Soma. It looked like she moved, but it was probably in my head.

“Hi, baby,” I said kissing her on her head. “I had dinner with your family, we’re going home tomorrow. I hope you wake up when we get home.” I said climbing into bed with her. I knew I would sleep best if I held onto her. I knew she would feel me at some point, I hoped she was feeling me, and this wasn't just all in my head.

Her breathing was almost calmed, I felt her heart rate pick up a little when I moved her closer to me, so that gave me hope she was feeling something for me. I didn’t think she hated me, but I did think she thought I would leave her alone and abandon her like her parents. I wasn't sure how she felt about that as we didn’t get to talk about that. I hoped she would be able to have some deep conversations and she wouldn't be so closed off to me.

Closing my eyes I took in her scent, it was a lot stronger than it was earlier and this was making me relax even more. Tomorrow was going to be a good day but a long one. Once we’re back in pack lands I plan on making us a little house away from the packhouse at least until she wants to live in the packhouse if she does. I wasn't sure how Micah would react, but he seemed like he wanted me to be happy. With his mate pregnant, I had to be careful when it came to asking him too much. I wanted him to enjoy being a father but I didn’t want him to be crazy when it comes to trying to make my life easier.

Soma and I will manage the pack like we’re supposed to, and he will relax his role for a while until he gets tired of changing baby diapers and anything else related to being a father. I hoped it would be years for him, and I hoped he would have more than one. I was dying to be an Uncle too, I think it would be awesome.

“I promise baby we’re going to be unstoppable, and they will see you are a threat if they want to come at us,” I said kissing her head. “I know you don’t think you are going to be anything special, but you became special to me the moment I laid eyes on you.”

I drifted off to sleep at some point, but that didn’t last long. Something was happening outside and I wanted to see what was going on. It was hard to see, but there was yelling and everything else. I wasn't sure if Nathaniel wanted help with anything, I needed to show him that I could handle anything that comes at us.

Walking to the front of the castle, I could hear Nathaniel in a threatening tone, something wasn't right and I didn’t like this. I stayed in the shadows and watched as things went down. Nothing was getting violent yet, but I could tell it was going to if Nathaniel didn’t give them what they wanted.

“She is not property!” he growled. “If you come here demanding me turn my daughter over then you have something bad coming your way and I will not stop him from killing you.”

“She doesn’t have a mate, and even if she does we’ll kill him for her!” one of them growled. “Go and get this pathetic being, I want to see who she thinks she's mated to!”

“I am not going to give you what you want!” Nathaniel growled. “I will give you one more chance to leave before I kill you myself.”

“You!” he scoffed. “You are bound by code, you cannot harm a citizen!”

“He can't but I can,” I growled stepping out of the shadows so he could see me. The two men were bigger than me, but I had Alpha blood in me, and I would kill them if Nathaniel said I could. “Now tell me why are you here!”

“Are you her mate? Or supposed mate I should say?” he snarled at me.

“I am her mate, and the last man that challenged that got his head ripped off.” I threatened. “The only reason I haven't killed you yet is because of Nathaniel, but if you threaten him you threaten me.” My aura was booming, I could tell it was bothering both of them. This made me very happy, I took another step closer to Nathaniel.

“So you’re going to let a pathetic werewolf take your daughter and defile her?” he growled. “Nathaniel you shouldn’t be King if that is how things are going to be. You know our kind cannot live with them, we will be bad!”

“No!” Nathaniel growled. “She has been chosen to mate with Oliver a werewolf, I am not going to stand in their way, I am giving them my blessing and unless you don’t want to lose your head, I suggest you leave and never return otherwise I am going to let Oliver here have some fun with you.” he smiled at me.

“Fine but this isn't the end to this!” he growled before spitting on the ground near me. “I promise you, she will reject you scum!” he ran off.

“Thank you for coming out tonight,” Nathaniel said looking at me. “I don’t know what I would have done if he attacked me, by law I cannot do anything but defend myself. If he would have died they would have used that against me.”

“Well they woke me up, and I figured you might need some help,” I said as we walked inside. “Don't be afraid to ask for my help, I want to make sure you are safe to Nathaniel.”

“Well thank you, I am going to bed myself, we have an early morning. I want to make sure you have enough supplies and food for your trip home, good night,” he said bowing before disappearing up some stairs.

I did regret not looking around the castle, but I figured I would wait until we came for a visit so Soma could enjoy the tour too. I couldn’t wait to be next to Soma, so I hurried back to my bed and cuddled with her until the sun came up. When it did, I felt better than I did for the few days I was here but I knew it was because I knew I was going to go home and be in my bed in the next fifteen hours or so. I just hoped Micah hasn't killed too many with too much work around the packhouse getting it ready for us to come home.

The birds were chirping before I managed to wake myself up enough, I jumped in the shower. I decided to give Soma a sponge bath, I was careful not to peak at her womanly parts because I wanted her to show me her body for the first time. But I did clean her legs, feet, hands, arms, and face. She still looked pale but she was getting better.

“Good morning,” I said to Soma. “Today we’re going home.” said dancing around the room. I knew I shouldn’t be excited seeing she wasn't here to celebrate and dance, but we’ll have plenty of time to dance and be fun.

I opened the door and headed to the dining hall, I figured Nathaniel was there, but he wasn't. The food was there, so I sat down and started to eat. I figured someone would join me, but the castle was quiet, I hoped everyone was okay. I knew last night bother Nathaniel and I hoped I didn’t step over my limits when I came out.

But I didn’t want to see him get hurt, and it wasn't in my nature to stand there and watch someone get bullied. I would apologize if I have to, but I thought everything was good to go.

“Good morning.” Nathaniel and Mary came in and sat down. “Sorry we were catching up,” he said, a blush formed on Mary’s face.

“Hey don’t mind me.” I laughed. “I plan to do that at some point too, but until then I’d love to hear it.” I laughed again. “I am kidding of course. Look about last night.”

“Nothing about last night needs to be apologized for,” Nathaniel said putting his hand up. “What you did was something I didn’t expect and I was glad that you stepped in because I didn’t want to get my claws dirty and then have to explain what happened.”

“I would have covered for you.”

“No, no,” he said smiling. “Are you ready to leave, the plane is ready whenever you are. But first I want to say thank you for everything you’ve done for us, for my daughter. I hope you understand me.”

“I do.” I smiled.

Thirty minutes later Nathaniel had someone help me bring Soma to the plane, once she was safely there I grabbed the few bags we had and waited for Nick to board. After that, we said our goodbyes and the plane took off, it was the most amazing feeling in the world.
