Chapter 92

Vampire King POV

I hated flying to the United States, but it was something to do and I needed to check on how Marks was keeping the city with his clan. He was a pathetic excuse for a vampire but at least I could trust him to contain threats if there were any but I still didn’t trust him fully and I wanted to ensure he wasn't making a scene when it comes to the vampire. I sent a couple of my vampires to check on him before this and they claimed he was doing okay a little slow on acting but that didn’t matter.

“What’s on your mind?” Marks asked.

“Nothing, I just don’t want to be in the United States long, I need to ensure we make this happen quick. I want to take King Gideon and show him just how pathetic of a leader is.” I said without looking at him. “But you better not mess this up otherwise you die.”

“Yeah, yeah I know don’t worry we’ll get him where we want him. I want to torture him a little more too because he owes me. With everything that he has done in the United States he deserves to die, we shouldn’t take him back to London.”

“Well good thing it’s not up to you to decide what is going to happen to him.” I snapped, maybe it wasn't a good idea to bring him with me but I needed his help since he knows more about the werewolves and Lycans than I care to.

Once we landed we had to wait for the sun to go down, my human help here in the United States booked us a basement room at a local club, once we were in the room we would have to wait until the Council was meeting or before they met with King Gideon and then we would kill them all and blame it on King Gideon, after that he would be taken prisoner and we would head back to London and finish what we started. I couldn’t wait to see King Gideon and the look on his face when he realizes we are going to kill him. I really should let the werewolves kill him just because he took one of their mates, but I wasn't sure just how much the werewolves would do to us because we killed the Council. I knew Oliver was smart, he would figure it out and probably would want to kill all of us, which was a bad idea because we had more vampires than we had werewolves.

My phone vibrated and I smiled when I saw who was calling. “Nikolai finally!” I smiled at Marks. “So you have news for me?”

“Yes, the Council is supposed to be here in a few hours, I guess King Gideon did call a meeting with them.”

“Good to know, we’re coming just be ready at the door and make sure they don’t get away because I really would hate for them to get word to the locals and get others killed,” I said looking around.

“Alright I will see you here in a bit, and I cannot wait to rip them apart,” he said before hanging the phone up. “So the Council is meeting here in a few hours,” I said to Marks. “Get the others together and meet me at the Council house, but don’t go in.”

“Alright,” he said before leaving.

I had a couple of things I needed to prepare for the Council. Blood Bane, Holy Bane yeah this stuff isn't fun for vampires, and of course, Nights Bane for Oliver when he comes. I knew he was coming, I didn’t know how many people would be with him but if we caught him alone he would be an easy target.

“Are you ready to go Master?” one of my servants asked.

“Yeah, we best go before I get too lost in my thoughts,” I said shaking my head.

I knew I wasn't lost, I was just preparing for what is to come. I know if we fail and kill all the Council members it was coming back on me, and I didn’t want to put us out like that. I had to be fast and they couldn’t know what was coming. Maybe I should have told them I was coming for a meeting, but that might have let Oliver and King Gideon know I would be in the area. I didn’t want to take that chance in case he moved the Princess to another location and we weren’t on top of that.

Walking to the car, my servant opened the door and I got in. He didn’t have to ask where to go because he’d brought me here a few times without anyone knowing. He was one of Marks people so I trusted him only enough so I didn’t kill him, but if he betrayed me it would be a painful death for him.

Getting there only took about Twenty minutes, Marks was standing in the dark with a few others he didn’t move until he knew I was there and he met me at the door.

“Are they here?” I asked getting out.

“Yeah they arrived a few minutes ago,” he said clearing the way so I could walk. “But King Gideon isn't here.”

“His flight hasn't landed so don’t worry he will be here.” I mused. “And when he comes here he will see all of the Council dead and he will wonder why and when he sees us here I am sure he is going to try and run.”

“Do you want me to send someone to the airport and get him?” he asked.

“No, I have that handled already don’t worry you know what you have to do,” I said without looking at him. “You better not fail me Marks this is the last time I will allow it before I kill you for good.”

“Don't worry.” he laughed. “I am sure you will probably kill me before I fail.” he joked. “But in reality, we will get them and kill them quickly and when everything is done and over with Oliver should be here, and then it will be the end of that. I cannot wait to see his face when he realizes what is happening.”

“Do you know if Nick is going to be with him?” I asked.

“I don’t know,” he said shaking his head. “I hope so, I owe that Lycan some pain too, he has been nothing but annoying.”

“I will let you do what you want to him, but if you kill him it might make Soma upset and she might not want our help,” I said but I knew it was a lie. I needed Nick alive since he was friends with her and could help us control her a little more. I wasn't too worried about Marks, he was still weak and he still had a lot to learn when it came to being a vampire. “Shall we say hi?” I grinned.

“Let's.”

I let Marks and his two men lead the way, I watched our backs because the Council could be tricky, and they might even know we’re coming. Closing the door behind me.

“Stay here and don’t let anyone in or out,” I growled before continuing to walk to the Council chamber.

“Ready?” Marks asked.

I didn’t answer him, in fact, I pushed the door open and there were a couple of gasps, and of course fear in their eyes. They never liked having visitors that they weren’t expecting, so it was a treat to see them worry about why we were there.

“Vampire King.” one of the males spoke, I don’t remember his name nor did I care. “Why are you here? You know that you aren't supposed to be here unless we know what business you have with us?” he said looking around for most likely an exit.

“I came to end you.” I smiled. “But before I do, I want to know why King Gideon has made a trip here if he has the girl he wants?” I asked folding my arms across my chest.

“That is none of your concern,” he growled. “Now I will give you a minute to decide what your next move is,” he said sitting down like he was going to do something.

“I am here to kill every one of you.” I smiled. “But it seems like you haven't prepared yourself for much of a fight,” I said glancing around at the others, they all had a look of being scared just what I wanted.

“Well we knew you were coming here, we just didn’t know when. We called King Gideon here to seek his help in why you are out to kill us, we have been good to the vampires and not enforcing things, but here you are wanting more,” he growled. “So Vampire King I guess what I am trying to say either make your move or get out of here before you die.”

“Ha!” I laughed. “You think you can kill us, let me see what you have?” I challenged. Of course, they didn’t move, nothing happened. It was my time to make my move.

“It’s time.” I glanced at my men and they all pounced.
