Chapter 65
Oliver’s POV
Opening my eyes I didn’t know where I was. The last thing I remembered was losing control of Drew. Looking around I realized I was in a cell, so they used nonlethal stuff on me, at least now I can show them a little respect.
“You’re awake,” Alec said coming into the prison. “I could have killed you yesterday.” He said walking closer to the cell. “What were you thinking Oliver, you know how these things work but yet you almost got yourself killed.”
“I did it because she is my mate, and you and your Council scum have taken the one thing that I looked forward to more than anything in the world.” I snapped. I wanted to get up and attack him, but with silver shackles on me, it was kind of hard. “You know how important mate bonds are but you tossed it out the window, why?”
“We didn’t have a choice Oliver when the Lycan King was told about the situation he jumped on the request, she belongs with the Lycans she isn’t ever going to fit in with the werewolves and you know this.”
“She didn’t even know anything about our world until she met me,” I growled shifting in my chair. “I would have taught her everything about us, and she would know more about herself. But you didn’t give us that chance, she was a scared girl that was raised by humans. I should have acted faster when it came to teaching her stuff, but she needed my trust first. I didn’t want her not trusting me with anything. You couldn’t have given me a few months?”
“A few months?” he said with his mouth half-opened. “No, we couldn’t have done that. She needed to go back and learn about herself before something happened. Untamed Lycans are cruel and they don’t like anyone.”
“But you don’t understand she doesn’t even know if she has a Lycan.”
“That is also under investigation, we are trying to figure out who would have done that and why.” He said touching the bars. “Do you know who could have stopped her from living as a Lycan?”
“Her parents,” I said looking away from him. “I don’t know the reason they did what they did for her, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the Lycan King and his plans for her. You need to bring them back here and find out what they are going to do to my mate.”
“I cant.” He said shaking his head.
“You can, you just won't,” I said looking away from him. “We were best friends before you became Council now you don’t even listen,” I said shaking my head. “When am I going to get released from here?”
“I don’t know.” He said taking a step back. “With your outburst yesterday the Council doesn’t feel you are very safe among the humans.”
“What about my pack?”
“Your Beta is going to have to run things for a while. We sent word to them about you being arrested and everything so they know you are here.” He said looking at me one last time. “Get some rest, you will have to answer questions and you will be on probation until we feel you aren’t going to be a threat to anyone else.” He left after that.
I knew Soma was gone; I knew I’d lost the one thing I felt worth living for. I needed to get out of here and find out where she is. I don’t care what the Council does after I get her away from that monster, but they are going to know I mean business and I am not an Alpha that is going to just let her go.
I wished they would have let me out, but I understood why they had to do what they did. I went crazy, the one thing that I regret is not marking Soma in all of that crap last night. If she would have borne my mark, I don’t think things would have gone the same way.
Two days seemed to pass before someone unlocked the cage and released me. Drew was too weak to take over which I was thankful for.
“Thanks,” I said rubbing the feeling back into my wrists.
“Please follow me.” The man said.
I followed him, I knew this was where I had to explain myself and hope they didn’t send me away. I wasn’t sure what to expect since Alec wasn’t the same person I remembered, I wasn’t sure he was going to try and get them to be gentle with their sentencing.
“Please come in and sit down.” Alec said when he saw me coming in. “So we’re sending you back to your parklands, you are not allowed to leave the country though.”
“What!” I growled standing up. “You cannot tell me I cannot leave. What if I have business s overseas?”
“You will have to send someone else to do your work. We don’t want you going to find your mate as she is the property of the Lycan King.”
“She’s not fucking property!” I roared.
“Please calm yourself down, we don’t want to have to go through this again do we Alpha Stone?”
“I don’t care what you do, if I want to leave the country I am going to leave,” I growled. “I know Soma is off-limits to you, but to me, she is my mate and I will go and find her. I don’t care if it starts a war with you or the entire world, she is my world and she will be by my side when everything is said and done.”
I didn’t even give them a chance to say anything. I needed to get out of here, I needed to get back to the packhouse and start planning my war. We’re going to kill any Lycan that wants to stop me from getting to my mate. She isn’t going to do what the Lycan King wants, she doesn’t belong to him!
Shifting into Drew, I knew he would be able to get us to the packhouse a lot faster. I couldn’t think straight so I left everything up to him. I wasn’t sure how I was going to save Soma, but she would be by my side again. This wasn’t going to end well for Nick, for the Lycan King. I see them as they betrayed her, especially her best friend. I just don’t know how someone could do that.
“Calm down Drew,” I warned. “I know me thinking about everything isn’t helping but we have to keep our mind straight otherwise we’re going to make a lot of mistakes and we cannot afford them.”
“I tried to save her yesterday, I am sorry.” He said.
“You were doing what I would have done, I just didn’t know they were going to use silver on us otherwise we should have just gone for Soma.”
“I miss her, I am pissed that they didn’t care about us.” He said.
“I know Drew, but when we get back to the packhouse we’ll get some of the best warriors we have and we’ll take London by storm.”
It only took us about an hour to get home. I was greeted by everyone except Micah. I need to know where he was, I hoped he wasn’t at the shop. We didn’t have time for this, I don’t even know if he knows everything that happened.
“Micah?” I mind-linked him.
“Oliver, are you home?”
“Yeah come to my office we need to chat,” I said before cutting off the link.
I walked into my office and went to the window. I thought about Soma and what she was going through. I didn’t like the feelings I was getting, I didn’t know if he had her chained up somewhere, or if he was already raping her. The feelings in my heart were breaking me down even more.
“Oliver I thought they were never going to let you go,” Micah said coming into the office. “What happened?”
“They kidnapped Soma,” I said without looking at him.
“If that was true, then why did I get word you were arrested because of violence?” Micah asked coming closer to me.
I turned to face him, “I lost control of Drew, he wanted blood.” I said turning back to the window. “I couldn’t control myself either, when they were telling me she was going back with the Lycan King I just lost my shit.”
“So what happens now?”
“We’re going to make a plan to take her back. She doesn’t belong to him, she is mine.” I snapped. “I just need to figure out a good plan that will get us in and out without getting anyone killed.”
“So you are going to war with the Lycan King?”
“Yes,” I said turning to him again. “We are going to kill everyone that stops me from getting to my mate, I am not going to let her suffer and be forced into anything.” I walked over to my desk and sat down I started to feel out of control again. “Drew is beyond pissed, I don’t know if I will be able to control him for any longer than I have.”
“So when do you want to do this?”
“The sooner the better.”
