Chapter 88
Oliver’s POV
Walking down the hallway to the meeting room, I have expected there not to be anyone in there because of my yelling but was surprised that there were about ten Alpha’s sitting around talking among themselves.
Micah cleared his throat, and we walked to the head of the table, everyone stopped talking and waited for me to speak. I wasn't even sure how to start this, but I didn’t have a choice now.
“Thank you for coming.” I began. “I know a lot of questions about why I’ve called you, please allow me to explain what is going on and what we need to do to ensure we don’t end up going to war with every supernatural being,” I said looking around, everyone seemed calm and happy to be there which was good.
“We mostly know why we are here, but why should we help? We’re putting our packs on the line to go against the Council,” one spoke up.
“Well, Alpha Zane I know you think you are not doing your part in containing a threat that is happening,” I spoke. “But the Lycan King has kidnapped my mate and is planning to force mark her and force her to become Queen of the Lycan but she didn’t even know she was a Lycan until she moved to New York.”
“How does one not know they are Lycan?” he asked confused.
“She was raised by humans, and there is some kind of spell that is suppressing her wolf, so we need to figure out how to get her out safely, and then we have to find the witch that placed the spell on her,” I said looking around. “Yes, I have mated to a Lycan something the Moon Goddess wanted to do because she has plans for the werewolves and Lycans as being as one.”
“But we’ve never seen them as an equal.” another one growled. “Why should we make this exception for you because you happen to be mated to one? Reject her maybe the Moon Goddess will grant you a new one.”
“Well, Alpha Michael I am not going to do that,” I said rolling my eyes. “I thought I didn’t have a mate, and this girl came into my life and now I am stuck to her like glue. I am going to do everything in my power to ensure she is safe, if you don’t want to be included, I kindly ask you to leave my pack lands.”
He got up like he was going to leave. “But if you leave so does my alliance and you will be left to die because you are constantly attacked and I have aided you and made sure you didn’t lose your pack.”
“Alpha Oliver I am grateful for that, but we don’t even know what the Council will do if we go there and try and get them to see our side of things. Didn’t they make her go or did she go willingly?”
“She was forced,” Micah said before I could. “She was forced because the King lied to the Council about her needing to be Queen when in reality he is the one that wants to have the title, the official one anyway,” he said looking at me.
“So why don’t we go to the Council and threaten war?” Alpha Michael said. “I mean the worst that could happen is they envoke war and we are forced to fight, but is the girl worth it? We’ve all had our share of heartbreak.”
I growled at him. “You do not realize how unstable I have been, and now you want me to leave my mate alone with a madman and expect me just to go on knowing she was hoping I would save her?” I growled again. “I don’t even understand your line of thinking leave my pack lands now, I don’t want or need your help!”
“Please Alpha Oliver I want to help you, please allow me to explain myself. I don’t want you thinking I don’t want to help you. But I feel we need to ensure we have a plan in place since none of us really know how the Lycans are, and if they will stand next to the King or allow us to go in there and get your mate.”
“Sit down!” I snapped. “I am getting a plan together, first we need to go to the Council and see if they will call another meeting with the Lycan King, and if they don’t then we make sure they cannot get word to him that we are coming and then we go to London and kill anyone that wants to stand in our way, very simple.”
“So that’s it, just go in not knowing anything about the layout?” Alpha Michael questioned.
“That is where I come in,” Nick said coming into the room. “I am Lycan and I also know everything about King Gideon and his minions.”
“A Lycan?” he snapped at Nick. “Why should we trust you? You are most likely working for him, and are going to tell him all about our plans, we cannot trust him, Alpha Oliver.”
“Yes, we can.” I snapped at him. “He is my mate's best friend, and has been keeping me posted on things, he is here to ensure I know what to expect. My mate right now has been forced into a locked-down castle, but I have a feeling she is going to be allowed too much more time before he forces himself on her, so we cannot keep delaying this.”
“When do you want to do this?” Alpha Drake asked.
“I think we should leave at least tomorrow that way we give the Council enough time to get to this chambers and we can catch them off guard,” Micah said.
“Micah is going to stay behind to ensure my pack is taken care of in case something happens, also I would like you all to be careful when this happens. I don’t know how the Council is going to act, hell they might even try and get us to turn on each other.” I said looking around. “Do not trust this Council, I know they haven’t been that great and we need to overthrow them and get them taken out.”
“One thing at a time Oliver.” Alpha Drake said. “But yes I agree they haven't been very good and I feel we need to get our own Council in place that way things like losing mates isn't going to be an issue anymore.”
“Alright so if you need to go back to your pack, I’d suggest you do it now. Otherwise, I will have my Omega’s show you your rooms, get rested dinner will be served around seven.” I said before excusing myself from the meeting room.
Micah followed me but didn’t say anything, I wanted to know what he thought but right now it didn’t matter. I was a little upset that he would put himself in this when I told him he needed to stay back and take care of things here.
“Don't be upset.” he finally said.
“I’m not,” I said without looking at him, but he knew me too well.
“Oh you are, I can tell by your aura. I need to come, Oliver, I have someone in mind that can do what I would be doing, you need me next to you so I can ensure you make it out too,” he said catching up to me. “I know you think you are protecting me, but you’re not.”
“I know that Micah, you’re my little brother I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you because I had to watch out for you too. This Alpha’s I know they could take care of themselves, I know are strong but you haven’t been up against things like the Lycans.”
“And you have?” he scoffed.
“No, but at least I won't feel bad if something happened to me,” I said turning to face him. “And before you try and guilt me into anything, I know I am selfish, I need my mate. I need to feel whole so this darkness that I’ve had inside me all these years will go away. I need a Luna for our pack, so people see us strong and not weak anymore.”
“And I want to be a part of that, please allow me to come. Let’s show these Alphas that we’re not scared to leave our pack and go and find your mate together.”
I rolled my eyes, he wasn't going to let me leave him here. He was just as stubborn as our father was, so I said why the hell not. “You better not get hurt otherwise I am going to have the witches summon you just so I could kill you again,” I smirked.
“Deal,” he said almost sticking his tongue out at me. “So now that we have that out of the way, time to run,” he said turning away from me. “Do you want to come? I know Drew loves the outdoors more than you.”
“No, I have to ensure all the Alpha’s are still here and are taken care of,” I said leaving him standing there. In reality, it would have been nice to spend some time with him outside, but we didn’t have time to play.
