Chapter 63

Soma’s POV

Walking back into the room, Nick and the Lycan King were already in their seats. They stopped talking when we walked into the room. I quickly sat down and waited for Oliver to join me. I could tell something was off about him, I wasn't sure if he was all there right now. He was scaring me a little but I knew he wouldn't hurt me, I hoped he wouldn't hurt me.

They continued with the hearing, I didn’t understand a lot of it so I just listened and hoped for the best. I didn’t know what else to say, they listened to me but didn’t care what I thought so I guess it’s really out of my hands.

Alpha Oliver, you understand what we’re saying?” Alec asked

“Yes,” Oliver said looking at me, his eyes were so sad it hurt my heart

“So to conclude this hearing a decision has been reached,” he said standing up, he looked at me. His eyes narrowed and then looked at the Lycan King. “We as a Council have decided that Soma will return to Lycan land with King Gideon and his men,” he said looking at Oliver. “I hope you find someone that is a werewolf and not another species to avoid this again.”

I didn’t have time to react, Oliver changed into a wolf. His aura was strong and violent. I was scared but I couldn’t move, Oliver stalked towards the Council baring his teeth and growling at everyone.

“Now Alpha Stone please change back you know how this works,” Alec said standing his ground. “I don’t want to have to kill you but I will, please stand down.”

I felt someone’s hand on my shoulder trying to pull me away from Oliver. I tried fighting the person but he was too strong.

“Stop,” Nick growled in my ear. “We have to get out of here, Oliver is unstable and we don’t know what he’ll do now that he doesn’t have control.”

I didn’t want to move away from him, I didn’t want to lose him but he wasn't in control. I backed away with Nick, who continued to pull me towards the door. I tried fighting him but he was still too strong for me.

Before the door closed, I saw them draw guns on Oliver, and then I heard them as the door closed.

“Nooo!” I growled trying to get away from Nick.

“Calm down Princess,” Nick said struggling with me, I didn’t care. I didn’t trust him, he pulled me right into the dragon lair.

“Calm down Soma.” an unfamiliar voice caught my attention until I realized I’d heard it before. It was the Lycan King. “I don’t want to sedate you but I will if I have to,” he warned.

“Do what you will, I will never go with you willingly!” I spat at him. “The only reason I am still standing here is that Nick won’t release me.”

“Actually,” he said looking past me.

I turned my head and noticed a guy with a syringe, it was for me. “Don't you dare!” I growled trying to kick the thing away from him.

“Isn't she feisty?” King Gideon mused. “Last warning Soma calm down and you take a long nap and when you wake up you won't know where you are.”

“Isn't that what you want?” I growled looking back at him. He nodded his head and I felt something poke into my neck. “Ow,” I said before I lost consciousness.

“Oliver,” I said opening my eyes.

I was greeted with the crackle of a fireplace and darkness. There was a figure near the fireplace but I didn’t care who it was, I knew it wasn't Oliver. I knew this was my new home now and there was nothing I could do about it. I was pissed, I would try and find a way out of here. Someone has to hate the King.

“How is your head?” Nick asked turning around.

“Get out.” I snapped at him.

“I didn’t want any of this to happen,” he said taking a step towards me. “I didn’t want you here, I wanted you with Oliver. I came here to try and get your dad to help or at least tell me why you were in hiding. He said he would help and he didn’t.”

“But yet you held me while they injected me,” I growled throwing the covers off of me and trying to stand, but I knew instantly that was a bad idea, so I sat back down. “You could have let me go.”

“It would have got us both killed Soma,” he said taking another step towards me. “I know you aren't going to believe what I tell you, but I want you to understand I am not a part of this crap.”

“I would rather be dead.”

“Now you don’t mean that.” King Gideon came walking into the room. “So at least I know our medicine does work on you, so if you get out of line I’ll put you down for a nap,” he said walking closer to me.

“Come any closer and I’ll go Lycan on you!” I said trying to stand again the medicine was still kicking my ass.

“Ha!” King Gideon laughed. “I would love to see that, but you see your dear daddy put your Lycan into some kind of magical sleep, I haven't found the witch that did it. So until we find her or find another way I think you are going to have to be nice, my Lycan already wants to punish you for everything for the last 19 or so years.”

“You nor your Lycan is going to come anywhere near me!” I growled. “You’re lucky this damn medicine you used it too much for me,” I said looking at Nick.

“Well tomorrow you should start to feel better, after breakfast you are to come to my office and we are going to start teaching you our ways. I can't have a future Queen not understanding how her people work,” he said looking at Nick. “Make sure she takes a bath and eats something before you give her the medicine,” he said before glancing at me. “You are quite beautiful I cannot wait,” he said before leaving us.

After the King left I tried getting out of bed again but was light-headed. Nick came over and grabbed onto me.

“Don't touch me!” I growled trying to get away from him, but he was faster.

“Stop damn it, we’re best friends. I don’t know why you are acting like this. I will get you out of here one way or another. I just have to be careful because I don’t know who to trust.” he said looking at me. “Besides I need to get you into the tub, he wants you clean and I have to do it. I am like your personal slave.”

“Well personal slave get out, I don’t want you anywhere near me,” I said pulling my arm out of his hold. “Please don’t be here when I come out, I don’t want to talk. We’re not friends, I thought we could trust each other with everything, but look where we are and what I am becoming.” I said before closing the door on him.

I wasn't even sure I should be mad at Nick, I didn’t know if he was forced into this or if he was doing this because he wanted me here so he could have his life here. I was sad either way, he knew how I felt about New York. I wondered if I would ever see New York again.

I wondered if they killed Oliver, or if he was able to get out of there. I prayed he was alive and okay, but I wasn't sure and that scared me. I wanted to ask Nick but I didn’t want the King to find out I was still asking about him. Maybe if I was quiet and maybe King Gideon would allow me outside the castle, that would be when I ran.

After my shower, the feeling I was feeling was almost gone. I still felt like I could pass out, I felt bad about kicking Nick out. I hoped he was still sitting in my room waiting for me to calm down like he’s done before. When I opened the door, the room was quiet but there he was sitting near the door watching me.

“Are you done?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said walking over to the bed. “I just feel kidnapped is all,” I said sitting down. “I don’t know how to make myself happy here, and I don’t think the King has my best interest in mind,” I said rolling my eyes. “I mean he seems like he wants to be in control and I don’t like that.”

“That’s usually how Kings and Queens are. When you become Queen you will have to act mean and resist the urge to want to help everyone.”

“I’m not becoming Queen and even if I am forced into it, I will not change who I am. I don’t even know why you would consider even saying anything like that.” I said looking at him, he knew I had a point but something deeper plagued him. “Tell me what is in this for you?”

“Nothing,” he said.
