Chapter 97
Oliver’s POV
Feeling a little more confident than I was a few hours ago even though we didn’t have the help that I was hoping for, it didn’t matter we were going to get through this. We would kill or be killed, but at least my mate would know I was fighting for her. I was tired of being this pathetic Alpha, it was time I found my light, it was time I fought back instead of having people walk all over me.
I wasn't sure why my pack supported me all these years, but I was glad they had my back. They knew I was bringing the Luna home so they all wanted me to do my best to bring her safely home. I knew it was taking a chance, but the Council made a bad mistake and now they were going to see just how pissed off I was.
“Here’s your bag,” Micah said coming outside with us. “You better bring yourself and your mate back here safely, don’t make me regret not forcing you to take me with you,” he said handing me the bag.
“Don't worry I have enough help, we’re not going to be long. I will call you once I am done with the Council, I know the flight to London is going to be a while, so when I land there I will call you again.” I said walking away from him.
My heart was racing again, I didn’t know what I would say to the Council, honestly, it didn’t matter they were going to give me what I wanted. I wouldn't take no for an answer, in fact, maybe I’ll take one of their heads as a prize to show I am a scary Alpha again.
I was glad the rogues stopped attacking my lands, I wasn't sure why they did but it didn’t matter. I was tired of losing my good warriors to them, and when they stopped attacking I had a lot more time to train them and get them to where they weren’t able to go down without a good fight.
I hadn't trained in a while, and that was my biggest regret. But I didn’t have time to think about the mistakes I made, and the things I should have done. This was happening, and it would happen fast. It didn’t matter how much I hurt at the end of this night, it would be a night that changes who I was forever.
“I’ll drive.” Alpha Zane said getting on the driver's side.
It was good he liked to drive, I hated it. I rather us run in our wolf forms, but I knew we would be naked in front of the Council and they wouldn't take us seriously. It didn’t matter though, we needed the car for the airport and everything else that came with flying in a plane. I hated flying and rarely did it, but the few times I did I had to drink and take valium because of my fear of heights.
“Don't worry Oliver things are going to be fine.” Alpha Zane said pulling onto the highway. “I know how these Councilmen work, they see us as a threat they are going to give us what we want.”
“I don’t want it like that, I want them to admit they made a mistake and order my mate to be turned over to me.”
“And you know that isn't going to happen, they are stuck in their ways. We need to get rid of them and be done with them,” he said looking at me. “I know deep down you know this is the only way and we have to kill them. They should have never been in charge of species they know nothing about. I am not entirely sure how they became.”
“The humans, they want to control us,”
“So we go to war with the humans,” he smirked. “Although killing them would be pointless because they breed so easily and they have more population than we do.”
“Of course they do, the Council put us in a decline for a reason, I don’t even know if it was because of the humans, or because they liked that power so much,” I said looking out the window. “We need to increase our numbers before we even consider taking on the humans. You know they have those weapons that can kill us.”
“What silver bullets?” he smirked. “I’ve been shot a few times with those things, yeah they hurt like hell but they don’t kill us. Those humans are pathetic they need to learn how to use their weapons before they come at us like that.”
“Well the last time I saw any hunters, they killed a few of my good men,” I said looking at him. “So I know they are learning and it makes me worried they are going to come and try and end us.”
“Don't worry about what we will have they are going to be too scared to come at us,” he said pulling off the highway.
“What do you mean?”
“You don’t know who your mate is, or really what she is?” he asked looking away from me. “We have been waiting for her to come, we thought the Moon Goddess left us here to die alone, but when I heard Seff was here or coming I knew it was only a matter of time before we’d be free.”
“Everyone seems to know more about my mate than I do.” I snapped. “What is she?”
“The white wolf, a wolf of the supreme power of the werewolves. I am surprised she is paired with a Lycan, so that could mean a hell of a lot more than we know.”
“It does,” Nick said clearing his throat. “We have to figure out how we can bring her out. No one knows but her parents, and I don’t see her father wanting to bring her out. With her great power, many races are going to try and take her and use her against everyone else.”
“So boy you know about her, what else?” Alpha Zane asked looking at him in the rearview mirror.
“The Council wanted her killed, that is the reason her parents hid her among the humans. When Gideon and the others found out about her, they wanted to train her to become dark and a killer,” he said looking out the window. “I’ve known about her my whole life, and I was told to protect her, we became friends, and ever since then, it had been easy to control her enemies. You see they sent me away, and the only reason King Gideon knows about her is that he summoned me back. He tricked me into thinking he killed Nathaniel, and he demanded to know everything about her. I had no choice at the time because he was King.” he went silent for a few moments. “When I found out Nathaniel was alive, I went to him and told him everything about what King Gideon wanted me to do. He told me to go back and stay close to her things were going to change.”
“So how many people know about what she is?” Alpha Zane asked.
“Everyone I am sure, King Gideon couldn’t keep quiet. He even went as far to tell people she was his mate and he was looking for her,” he said looking at me. “I know you are her mate and you will do everything in your power to ensure she is safe. But you have to understand Seff will not be controlled not even by her mate.”
“But I don’t want to control her, I just want to show her the love that I have for her. I want to protect her from everyone that wants her dead or to use as some kind of power thing.” I said. I was telling the truth, I wasn't sure if Nick could tell I wasn't lying. It didn’t matter we needed to be together, I knew she could help me become myself again, and I could help her with her Lycan. “I promise you Nick she is going to be safe with us, when we bring her back to my pack lands, I want her as my Luna if she will have me.”
“I know Soma, and she is looking for the same thing you are Oliver,” Nick said looking at me. “I know you two will be fine once she is mated to you. As far as we know King Gideon hasn't been able to touch her, so she is still pure.”
“I know he hasn't touched her, I know he has tried but has failed,” I said looking out the window. I could feel the darkness in my heart coming back, it was because I was worried she was going to reject me because it took me so long to find her.
I don’t know why I didn’t look for her, or come up with this plan sooner, I guess you could say I was weak but now that I found myself, I knew for a fact she will see just how strong I was.
“We’re here.” Alpha Zane said bringing me out of my thoughts. “Be ready for anything,” he said turning the car off. “And Lycan you better not be here to stop anything from happening, I would hate to have to kill you in front of your friends.”
“I only have one friend on the Lycan side and she isn't here,” he said getting out of the car.
