Chapter 176

Rachel barely had a chance to grab the dress before Mandy swooped in and snatched it away. "I want this one too."

Rachel pressed her red lips together. Ella was fuming, hands on her hips, glaring at Mandy. "Are you seriously trying to mess with us? You've already taken one dress, and now you're back for more?"

Mandy draped the dress over her arm. "Yep, I'm doing it on purpose. You said the last one had flaws, what about this one? I don't buy that every dress has a flaw."

Ella was livid. "You bitch."

"Alright, Ella, just ignore her." Rachel pulled the fuming Ella away, shot Mandy a cold glance, and walked off.

Ella, still upset, asked, "Ms. Williams, are we just going to let this go?"

"Of course not, you'll see in a moment." Rachel replied in a low voice, then picked the most expensive dress from the front row.

Although Ella didn't know what she was planning, she wisely didn't ask further.

Rachel stood in front of the mirror with the dress, gently holding it against her body, muttering softly, "Five, four, three, two."

Before she could say the last number, Mandy's voice rang out, "I want this one too."

The dress in Rachel's hand was stunning, even though she hadn't put it on yet, one could tell from the mirror that Rachel would look amazing in it.

Rachel was definitely here to pick a dress for the charity auction in a few days, and Mandy couldn't let her look so good and attract Michael's attention.

"If you want it, it's yours." Seeing Mandy walk over, Rachel smiled and handed the dress to her.

Mandy reached out and took the dress. Rachel turned to the next rack and continued to pick the most expensive ones.

Soon, Mandy snatched another one. Rachel pretended to stare at her for a while, looking very angry, but finally held back and walked to another rack.

Seeing Rachel so angry, Mandy's frustration vanished, replaced by triumph. She thought, 'No matter what Rachel picks, I will snatch it all, just to infuriate her.'

Next, Mandy snatched several more dresses. Ella was furious and about to intervene, when she suddenly noticed the smirk on Rachel's lips and understood.

"Ms. Williams, are you deliberately picking the most expensive ones for Mandy to snatch?" Ella whispered in Rachel's ear.

Rachel nodded. "Exactly, she doesn't want me to get a dress. So, whatever I pick, she'll grab. I might as well choose the priciest ones and make her spend a fortune."

"Brilliant!" Ella gave a thumbs up.

Rachel smiled. "It's not just that. Mandy is here to pick a dress at this time, she must be attending the charity auction too. I told you before, the theme of this charity auction is protecting wildlife."

"Yes." Ella nodded.

Rachel squinted. "What do you think about wearing wild animal fur accessories at such an event?"

Ella laughed. "I get it, leave it to me."

She patted her chest and said loudly, "Ms. Williams, she's taken so many beautiful dresses, can you still stand it? If these dresses are paired with fur shawls and crocodile handbags, they would look stunning, but she took them all."

"Forget it, let's pick something else, adding those accessories would be nice too." Rachel patted her hand, signaling her to calm down.

Not far away, Mandy overheard their conversation, and her eyes lit up. She glanced at Monica holding several dresses, picked one up, and thought it looked good. These dresses were dreamy, and adding a fur shawl would add a touch of sophistication. It seemed worth a try.

Ella noticed Mandy's hesitation and smiled. "Ms. Williams, she's taken the bait."

"Perfect. We can stop now. Salesperson!" Rachel raised her hand and called out.

The salesperson walked over. "Hello, miss."

"Pack all of these." Rachel pointed to a row of dresses on the right.

The salesperson was stunned, taking a while to react. "Are you sure?"

"That's right; that lady will pay." Rachel pointed to Mandy.

Mandy's face fell as she looked at the dozen dresses. "Rachel, when did I say I was buying these?"

"You didn't, but you always snatch whatever Ms. Williams wants. So, they're yours. Time to pay up," Ella said with a mocking smile, holding Rachel's arm. Rachel gave Mandy a knowing smile.

Mandy finally realized, trembling with anger. "You tricked me? You deliberately made me buy so many?"

"We didn't trick you; you fell right into our trap. If you hadn't tried to snatch them, we wouldn't make you buy them. But now that you did, they're all yours." Ella spread her hands. "Alright, big spender, time to pay up. This should be nothing for the future Mrs. Smith, right?"

Mandy trembled. Nearly twenty custom dresses would cost millions! If she spent that much, her father would be furious.

"Alright, Ella, Miss Brown will definitely buy them. She wouldn't risk her dignity, right, Miss Brown?" Rachel smiled at Mandy.

Mandy was fuming. "Of course I will buy!"

Her dress-snatching actions had been seen by all the salespeople in the store. If she didn't buy, these salespeople would definitely spread the word to other socialites, and she would be the one losing dignity. So, she had to buy even if she didn't want to.

Thinking of this, Mandy took a deep breath, struggling to keep her composure. "You'll regret this."

Rachel smirked. "Ella, let's go."

"Alright." Ella responded.

After they left, Mandy looked at the pile of dresses, wanting to throw them all on the ground and stomp on them. But she couldn't bear to, after all, they were worth tens of millions of dollars.

"Pay!" Mandy gritted her teeth and handed the black card Michael had given her to the salesperson.

The salesperson took the card, eyes shining with barely contained joy, and pushed the dresses to be packed.

She was thrilled. Mandy's purchase meant a huge commission, enough to buy a house. After work, she would go to church and pray for her.

Seeing the furious Mandy, Monica asked concernedly, "Are you okay?"

Mandy forced a smile. "I'm fine." In fact, she was livid, blaming Monica for not warning her and for getting played by Rachel.

Soon, the salesperson finished swiping the card and returned the black card to Mandy. Mandy left the address for the salesperson to send the dresses to the Brown Manor, then left angrily.

Meanwhile, at Smith Corporation, Michael was handling documents when his phone rang. It was a notification showing the sub-card he gave Mandy had been charged tens of millions of dollars. His brows immediately furrowed.
