"Charles, thanks a ton for today. I haven't felt this happy in ages. I don't even know how to repay you for all the help you've given my family!" Alice said.
"Well, if you don't know how to repay me, how about marrying me?"
"No way! I'll just work hard and pay you back over time!"
"Alright, but I'll have to charge you interest then. At normal bank rates, a $77 million loan would mean you owe me $300,000 a month. If you pay me that, I won't need you to marry me!" Charles joked.
Alice did some quick mental math.
Charles seemed to be right. For a normal bank loan, lending $77 million and only charging $300,000 a month in interest was already a super low rate.
Some shady loan companies might charge $770,000 or even $1.5 million a month in interest for a $77 million loan, and that was interest-first. You'd have to pay the interest before you could get the money.
Normally, even if you were willing to pay such high interest, no one would lend you $77 million. Otherwise, Donna wouldn't have been desperate enough to accept the Hank family's terms.
"Do you really want me to pay interest? But I can't afford it. How about I give you a kiss instead, and we call it $300,000 in interest?" Alice said and then kissed Charles on the cheek.
Charles was about to say, "Your kiss is worth $300,000?"
But before he could speak, the sudden kiss left him completely stunned!
"You took advantage of me?"
"Who took advantage of you? You're so annoying!"
At 2 PM, Charles dropped Alice off at Lindell Academy.
She had classes in the afternoon, and actually in the morning too, but she had taken the morning off.
Alice's studies were very demanding.

She just enjoyed learning the languages of different countries, making traveling abroad more convenient.

'This place is a bit dangerous. Better get out of here quick,' he thought.
After dropping Alice off at the Lindell Academy gate, Charles quickly turned the car around and sped away.
Meanwhile, ever since the karaoke bar incident where Charles revealed his identity and clarified with Lisa that he wasn't Mr. Smoke, Lisa's fondness for Charles started to plummet. Rachel kept badmouthing Charles in her ear, and the more Lisa thought about it, the angrier she got. Thinking about all the humble things she had done and said in front of Charles, she felt very disrespected.
Charles used to be just a simp for her for three whole years. Although he was becoming more outstanding now, and his family was wealthy, he wasn't outstanding enough to make Lisa completely devoted to him.
