Charles didn't care about the size of a restaurant, because he often ate at food trucks.
A lot of rich folks were super picky about where they ate. It was either a Michelin three-star, a high-end restaurant, or a famous hotel.
Dropping tens of thousands on a meal was normal for them, and they wouldn't even step into a regular place.
On the flip side, those worth billions sometimes kept it super chill. They didn't need fancy stuff to show off their status; they just cared about what they liked!
"Mr. Nguyen, you're too kind. Honestly, the vibe here is pretty nice. I'm used to chowing down at food trucks, so no worries!" Charles grinned.
'Man, a young guy from a hidden wealthy family is way different from your typical rich kid. If it were a regular rich kid, he'd probably be whining about this Farmhouse Restaurant!' Lloyd thought. Even his son Billy had that issue.
But Mr. Smoke was different. Whether it was a high-end banquet or a food truck, hewouldn't complain and could fit right in, super down-to-earth.
"Billy, you should take notes from Mr. Smoke!"
"Dad, chill, Mr. Smoke is my hero! Bro, I wanna be your sidekick, will you take me in, bro?" Billy was all lively and sociable at the dinner table.
"No problem, it's no biggie. Let's hang out when we get the chance!" Having a rich kid as a sidekick? Charles wasn't gonna say no.
"Bro, I'm heading to Nuw Yark soon. When you and sis-in-law come here, I'll make sure everything's set up perfectly. Honestly, you really helped our Nguyen family this time. We owe you big time!" Billy, the little chubby guy, hinted at something deeper.
Charles figured they must be facing some issues in Nuw Yark and needed a big chunk of cash, or they wouldn't have sold the Gold Trade Building.
The Nguyen family publicly claimed they needed a lot of money for new projects, but that was probably just a cover!
Of course, Charles wasn't gonna pry too much into that!
As Alice listened to Billy calling her "sis-in-law" over and over, her cheeks got redder and redder.
She kept serving Charles food during the meal.
When Charles' mouth got messy, she wiped it for him, looking super considerate!
