Chapter 121 Snow's Imagination is Exaggerated
"What do you want?" Snow shouted sternly.
"Nothing much, just making friends. No need to be so tense, beauty. I'm here to protect you from bad guys!" The gang leader continued to leer at Snow.
"Get away! If you come any closer, I'll call the police!"
Snow's face turned pale. Because of her past experiences, she was particularly sensitive to strangers, especially this group of burly men with gold chains and tattoos.
"Boss, this chick has quite a temper..."
Before a guy in blond hair could finish his sentence, Snow kicked him in the crotch.
The blond let out a heart-wrenching scream, clutching his crotch and howling in pain.
No one expected that a beautiful woman would be so ruthless as to kick people in their vital parts!
"Fuck you, you little bitch! Do you really think I won't hurt you? Believe it or not, I'll gang-rape you!" The leader was also furious.
He had initially just wanted to tease the beauty, not intending to go too far. After all, this was a society governed by law, where there was a sense of fear. But who knew this beauty could hurt people so easily?
But was really their own fault.
The thugs, in their rage, were even less likely to let Snow go.
The leader took the lead, trying to capture Snow, but who knew this seemingly delicate beauty was extremely agile?
As the leader got close, she side-kicked him to the ground.
"This woman knows how to fight. Get her!" the leader roared.
Snow indeed knew how to fight, even having a set of combo moves, and her fighting skills were quite advanced.
Ordinary men, even two or three, might not be able to go up against her.
But even with her fighting skills, facing five or six strong men, she was still at a disadvantage.
She was naturally weaker in strength.
Maybe with her initial fighting skills, she could gain some advantage.
But over time, she would inevitably run out of stamina.
And with five or six strong men attacking at once, she couldn't handle it.
Even a fierce tiger could be defeated by a pack of wolves, let alone a woman against half a dozen men.
Snow knew she couldn't take on five or six strong men alone.
So after kicking the gang leader, she turned to run!
But she hadn't run ten meters when Snow ran headfirst into a passerby's arms.
Looking up, it was Charles.
This brief delay allowed the leader and his men to surround Charles and Snow.
"Run! Try running again? You think you can just run after kicking us? This isn't over!" the leader snarled.
"So what do you want?"
"Simple, sleep with me once, and I'll forget about the unpleasantness. Maybe I'll even give you two hundred dollars a month!"
"You're shameless and disgusting!" Snow cursed angrily.
'Sure enough, there are no good man. Neither is this Charles. If it weren't for him, I would have already escaped. This useless guy!' Snow looked at Charles with intense disgust.
"Bro, show some respect and leave!" Charles sensed the tense atmosphere, but still spoke calmly
"Show you respect? Who are you? If you want to save the beauty, you better have the strength. Get lost, or we'll beat you too!"
"Boss, this guy seems to drive a Ferrari!"
The guy in blond hair suddenly pointed to a Ferrari LaFerrari parked not far away, where Charles had just gotten out.
'Someone who can drive such a luxury car must have a significant background,' the gang leader thought.
"So what if you drive a Ferrari? Does driving a Ferrari make you badass? I can let this chick go, but you have to pay me thirty thousand dollars in medical fees!" The leader changed his tone.
Originally planning to assault her, now that someone was meddling, they switched from harassment to extortion!
'These idle thugs are akin to scammers. Given the opportunity, they will exploit you for their gain! Having money doesn't equate to being tough. When you possess nothing, you dread losing nothing,' Charles mused.
"I'm not giving you a cent. I suggest you disappear from my sight in ten seconds, or brace yourselves for the repercussions!" Charles unbuttoned two buttons on his shirt. He had no intention of wasting any more words with these guys!
"Fuck you, still acting tough? I'll teach you a lesson today!"
One minute later, six thugs lay on the ground, writhing in pain.
The leader had exchanged a punch with Charles and felt like his hand was about to break!
'This seemingly harmless pretty boy is so was terrifying? No one can withstand a punch from him.'
[Snow: Affection -5
Current Affection: -95 points]
'What?' Charles was dumbfounded!
He thought that by stepping in at a critical moment and saving Snow from danger, her affection towards him would skyrocket.
But the opposite happened.
Not only did Snow fail to exhibit any gratitude towards him, but her affection plummeted once more.
It almost reached an unprecedented -95 points, an extreme state of dislike!
In other words, Snow now felt disgusted just seeing Charles.
'Why is this happening? Does helping you also make me wrong?' he thought.
"Charles, do you think this is funny? Do you think I would be as easily fooled as other girls? Next time, if you want to stage something, at least find better actors. These people fell to the ground with just a touch from you. Do you really think I'm naive and cannot see through this facade? You're a hypocrite. Jessica harbors strong feelings for you, to the extent of being willing to relinquish her role as student council president, and yet you orchestrate this hero-saving-the-damsel charade before me? What exactly do you want?" Snow questioned aggressively.
Charles was stunned.
He never expected Snow to have such an exaggerated imagination, thinking these people were hired actors, deliberately cooperating with him to stage a scene.
'What? Is it because my skills are too good? I finished the fight in a minute, so you think I'm acting? Is being too strong also my fault?' he wondered incredulously.
"Snow, let me explain, I really don't know these people..."
"No need to explain, the facts are clear. I hope you stop playing these childish tricks. It only makes me dislike you more!" Snow walked away without even a backward glance as soon as she finished speaking.
Charles didn't chase after her to explain further.
'A misunderstanding is a misunderstanding! If you insist on seeing me as a bad guy, what can I do?'
