Chapter 218 I Have Evidence

Leo felt like this was his moment. Alice was right here at Lacus Magnus University, and with a bit of digging, she could easily uncover Charles's sleazy antics.

That jerk wouldn't have a leg to stand on. No matter what lies he spun, the cold, hard facts would crush him! And Leo knew all too well just how scummy Charles was.

First off, that jerk Charles had been stringing Lisa along for three years. Lately, Lisa had been lighting candles in a heart shape under the boys' dorm, hoping to catch his attention.

Then there was Pamela, the infamous flirt from the art department, who had publicly declared her love for Charles. She even fought off trolls on the campus forum to protect his reputation. People had seen them holding hands, looking all lovey-dovey.

And Leo's ex, Emily, who was totally head over heels for Charles.

Leo had even seen Jessica, the top beauty from the School of Arts, getting into a Rolls-Royce with Charles at the East Gate. There was definitely something fishy going on there.

Recently, rumors were flying that Charles was getting cozy with the first Campus Princess, Snow, under the boys' dorm. The always aloof Snow had waited for him there for half a day. It was mind-blowing!

Charles's sleazy moves were like a masterclass in douchebaggery. But it wasn't just these things that ticked Leo off. What really got under his skin was that his long-time crush, Alice, had blocked him because of Charles!

Back then, Charles was on the verge of being exposed, but Leo had stupidly helped clear his name. He felt like such an idiot!

And now, Charles had stolen his thunder in this competition. Leo should have been the one basking in glory, getting all the admiration, and qualifying for the state league. However, Charles had taken it all!

Leo couldn't accept it! Why did he bust his butt training, only to come in second? Why did Charles, who never trained, snag first place? Why did all the hottest girls in school go for Charles and not him? He was a big deal in high school! Why had everything changed?

It was so unfair! All of this should have been his, but that jerk Charles had taken everything from him.

After leaving the podium, Leo stormed straight towards Alice, his eyes blazing, determined to spill the truth this time.

Seeing Leo charging towards Alice, Charles thought, 'Crap, he's gonna badmouth me!'

Thinking fast, Charles whipped out his phone and called Alice.

"Hey! Charles, why are you calling me when you're so close?"

"I just saw you at our school and was a bit surprised!" Charles said, keeping his cool.

"You surprised me! I didn't know you were into sprinting. Back in high school, Leo was always the sprint champ. You never seemed to compete. If you had, Leo wouldn't have stood a chance!"

"Don't say that. Back in high school, I wasn't as good as Leo. He really liked you and went all out to impress you. I don't know if he watched too many TV dramas, but he actually hired two thugs to block you in an alley, trying to play the hero. I was a fool back then and rushed out to get beaten up when I saw you in danger. Looking back, I wonder if I messed things up between you and Leo!" Charles said, trying to keep it light, but he let slip the truth about that alley incident.

As Charles finished speaking, Alice's face suddenly showed pure disbelief. In high school, she had indeed been cornered and harassed by two thugs in an alley, which left her terrified of walking alone at night.

She even had nightmares about it for a long time. But now she knew the truth—those thugs were actually hired by Leo? She couldn't believe it.

She was only sixteen at the time, and he did something so despicable just to win her favor! How disgusting! How inhuman!

At this moment, Leo had already reached Alice.

He didn't notice Alice's icy stare and said seriously, "Alice, I know you think I'm a backstabbing jerk, but there are some things I have to say. No matter how you misunderstand me, I must tell you the truth. Charles is a douchebag. Do you know how despicable he is? Look at Snow next to you. Just a few days ago, he was all over her under the boys' dorm!"

"So what?" Alice shot back, her face showing no shock or surprise.

"Charles not only has a thing with Snow but also with Pamela, Lisa, Jessica, and Emily. You don't have to take my word for it, ask anyone!" Leo, worried Alice wouldn't believe him, grabbed two passing male students. "Hey, guys, tell her what kind of person Charles is."

The two guys immediately looked like they shared a common enemy. "Charles is a total player. He changes girls every day, never the same one twice. Tons of girls at our school have been with him!"

"Yeah, and several girls bring him breakfast together. He's a gigolo, living off women. Even his iPhone was a gift from a girl. It's gross!"

Hearing this, Alice couldn't take it anymore and coldly questioned, "Leo, what's the point of this? You're already a jerk, and now you're dragging others into your smear campaign against Charles? What grudge do you have against him? Is it just because you lost the competition?"

These guys actually called Charles a gigolo, saying he lived off women? Seriously? If Leo was going to hire people, couldn't he find more convincing ones? With Charles's wealth, did he need to live off women?

"Alice, why can't you believe me just once? You think I hired them? Am I that pathetic? Is that how you see me?" Leo asked, his voice breaking with heartbreak.

"Fine, let me ask you something, and you better answer honestly. In high school, did you hire two thugs to block me in an alley?"

Leo was immediately dumbfounded and didn't know what to say.

"You better not lie. I have evidence!" Alice continued.
