Chapter 131 Alfonso Takes Action
Charles was sweating buckets!
'Seven girls, except for Lily and Pamela's best friends, the other five are all my targets. Jessica actually asked me where I was last night? This is too crazy, almost a complete mess!' he thought.
The atmosphere around him was unnerving.
Pamela was as composed as ever, having known from the beginning that Charles was rich and extremely outstanding.
She had already met Jessica and Lisa before, but she didn't expect that besides them, there were several other girls who also liked Charles!
Emily's gaze towards Charles was different.
Snow, maintaining her usual cold demeanor, seemed even more disdainful of Charles. This scene only confirmed her view that he was indeed a jerk.
Lisa only realized now that the Charles she once despised had unknowingly attracted so many good girls. 'He really is that excellent!'
Regret began to gnaw at her.
Charles panicked for less than a minute before quickly calming down.
He realized that things weren't as bad as he had imagined!
'None of the five girls I am pursuing have confirmed a relationship with me yet! Except for Jessica, with whom I've had a bit of a closer connection—we’ve held hands and watched a movie together. The other four? Pamela’s relationship with me has always been transactional; Lisa is an ex I’ve long moved past; Snow, the campus princess, already has a very low opinion of me, so her judgment doesn’t matter; and Emily, who’s at a favorability of 94 points, is close but not quite there yet. I haven’t actively pursued Emily, so there’s no suspicion of me playing games with her. Although Lily and Pamela are best friends, they have nothing to do with me. So, upon careful analysis, the chaos isn’t as severe as it seems. After all, none of them are my girlfriend, and none has confirmed a relationship, so why should I panic? Is it my fault if girls like me?' Charles thought.
With his thoughts organized, Charles’s expression began to relax. Despite the apparent chaos, he realized he could handle it with ease.
The only thing he needed to do now was to observe the situation.
'In this situation, it's best to communicate less, and if possible, not at all, because the more I say, the more mistakes I make. No explanations! Explaining only makes me look guilty,' he thought.
Leo's face was livid!
Seeing Charles surrounded by a group of girls, including his ex-girlfriend and the campus princesses, was infuriating.
'This jerk Charles is so smug, surrounded by a group of girls, including my ex-girlfriend and both campus princesses. What extraordinary qualities does this jerk have? Is it because he's a bit handsome? A bit rich? A bit good at sports? A bit fast? Besides these, what else does he have? In terms of looks, you're not as handsome as the campus prince. In terms of money, can you be richer than the campus prince? In terms of talent, the campus prince has more talents than you. I can't compare to you, but in front of the campus prince, you're still nothing,' Leo thought.
"Alfonso, this guy is Charles, the one everyone's talking about lately," Leo said through gritted teeth, pointing at Charles.
"He's Charles?" Alfonso's arrogant eyes carried a hint of disdain. "I heard there was someone important making waves at school, and I thought it might be someone impressive. But it’s just this guy? Leo, how could you let yourself be overshadowed by someone like him?"
Alfonso shook his head, his eyes glancing sideways at Charles.
He realized this guy was the loser he almost ran into on the road just now.
Instantly, he disliked Charles even more!
Recently, he had been pursuing Roxy, the music school's campus princess. He was so busy with that that he hadn't paid much attention to other events and happenings in school.
'I’ve tried pursuing Snow, but she’s always been highly guarded against any man, no matter how handsome or wealthy. It's like she has no interest in either good looks or riches. How do you chase someone who isn’t impressed by those things? Maybe I’d need to change my approach entirely—she might just be uninterested in men altogether,' Alfonso thought.
Once upon a time, Alfonso had thought he could move Snow, and win her over with his many acts of love.
He had pulled out all the stops: flowers, balloons, applause, luxury cars, various romantic invitations, deliberately finding someone to harass her, then playing the hero, even pretending to be injured for her.
In the end, not only did he fail to win her over, but she also saw through his schemes and grew to dislike him even more.
He also realized that Snow had psychological issues, and was nowhere as good as Roxy from the music school.
Roxy was beautiful and charming, with a voice like a heavenly melody, and a gentle personality, even better than Jessica. Snow only had top-notch looks, but in other aspects, she was not as good as Roxy.
'This ungrateful woman even dared to reject me, the campus prince. How outrageous!' Alfonso fumed inwardly.
Originally, Alfonso had initially planned to leave Snow alone for a while, waiting until she stepped down as student council president. Then, he intended to use his social connections to pursue her.
He believed girls who hadn't left the ivory tower probably didn't know the dangers and evils of society.
The more beautiful a woman was, the more likely she was to be coveted.
Without a strong man to protect her, she would end up battered and bruised sooner or later!
'Only after experiencing the world's cruelty will she realize how valuable I am!‘ Alfonso thought.
Alfonso had initially thought that Snow had a general aversion to men, never allowing herself to get close to any.
But now, he found out she was actually close to Charles!
Although she was pulled over by Jessica, Alfonso still couldn't accept it.
Especially seeing several high-profile girls all surrounding Charles, he found it hard to understand!
Even he, the number one campus prince of Lacus Magnus University, had never been surrounded by so many top-tier girls.
'What makes him, a loser, so special?' Alfonso thought disdainfully.
"Alfonso, this Charles drives a Rolls-Royce. I saw it last time, but I can't be sure if it's his car!"
"Rolls-Royce? So what?"Alfonso's eyes flashed with disdain as he walked toward Charles, a basketball in hand.
Suddenly, he fiercely threw the ball at Charles's head.
If it were a normal person, they wouldn't have reacted in time to such a sudden attack.
But Charles's reflexes were lightning fast.
When the ball was less than two inches from his head, Charles intercepted it with ease, catching it effortlessly.
For a moment, Charles was seething with anger as he thought, 'How dare you assault me in public!'
