Did Charles have an easy way out? No way. Even though Emily showing up threw a wrench in things, it still wasn't clear who Charles actually liked.
Just as Charles was about to make his escape, Lori suddenly yelled, waving her hand, "Charles, over here!"
And she was standing next to three drop-dead gorgeous girls. With that shout, everyone's eyes turned their way.
"What's going on over there?" The crowd started buzzing with excitement.
Charles had said he liked someone, which was why he turned Emily down. But who was it? This definitely got everyone curious. How amazing and beautiful was the person Charles liked?
But when they saw Alice, Snow, Jessica, and Lori, they got it right away. None of these girls were any less stunning than Emily. So, was one of them the one he liked?
Jessica and Snow were pretty famous around Lacus Magnus University, but the other two girls were just as attractive.
With Lori's shout, Charles had no choice but to turn around. He couldn't pretend he didn't hear her, not from that close.
He wondered if Lori had it out for him. Just when he thought he could slip away from the chaos, he got pulled right back in.
The atmosphere was heating up. Sweat started to bead on Charles' forehead as he stumbled towards the four girls, feeling like he was walking into a fire.
"Hey, Snow, Alice, Jessica!" Charles greeted them casually.
"Charles, why'd you only say hi to them and not me?" Lori pouted, clearly annoyed.
"Oh! We're not that close. I kinda forgot your name!"
"You..." Lori stomped her foot in frustration.
"By the way, Charles, there's a car show in Syeattel tomorrow. Wanna go?" Jessica asked. She actually wanted to buy a car for Charles but didn't know what kind to get. Going with him would be perfect.
"A car show, huh? Let's talk about it tomorrow. I've been super busy lately, not sure if I'll have time," Charles replied vaguely.
He thought Jessica wanted to buy a car. If she asked him directly, he would've bought it for her without a second thought, but given the current situation, it was better to keep some distance.
"Charles, I came here today to..." Before Alice could finish, a cry for help came from not far away.
"Help! Someone's fainted! Is there a doctor here?" At Syeattel Music Academy, a group of cheerleaders in uniforms were surrounding someone, shouting for help!
"What's going on? Let's go check it out!" Charles seized the chance to change the subject.
There was a doctor in his thirties at the scene, named Leonardo Morris. He shouted, "Move aside, everyone. Don't crowd around. Keep the air flowing!"
"It's Mr. Morris. He's a doctor. Listen to him and move aside!" The cheerleaders quickly stepped back.
Charles then saw the girl on the ground, clutching her chest, convulsing, and struggling to breathe, her face twisted in pain, almost unconscious. Was that Roxy?
The top beauty at Syeattel Music Academy? What was wrong with her?
"Holy crap! Is that Roxy? Did she faint?"
"What happened? She was dancing just fine earlier. How did this happen?"
"Roxy has a congenital heart condition. She shouldn't be doing intense activities, but she always said it was mild and almost cured. Who knew..."
"Nonsense, this is acute myocardial infarction. Call an ambulance, quick!" Leonardo checked her briefly and shouted. Even though he specialized in orthopedics, it wasn't hard to see that Roxy was having a severe heart attack.
If she didn't get help fast, she might die! But as an orthopedic doctor, he didn't dare to treat a heart patient. If she died, he'd be in big trouble!
Leonardo looked around and shouted, "Is there a cardiologist here? The patient's condition is critical and she might not make it until the ambulance arrives!"
Roxy was convulsing, struggling to breathe, and on the verge of death, her eyes filled with pain. She felt like she couldn't breathe, her heart was in severe pain, and she couldn't get any oxygen. Her consciousness was starting to fade.
'Am I going to die? Help me! Can anyone save me?' Roxy could only cry out desperately in her heart.
At that moment, Charles thought, 'Great opportunity, finally a good reason to get away!'
Thinking this, he immediately shouted, "Move aside, everyone. I'm a doctor. Let me through, don't delay my treatment!" Then he rushed towards Roxy.
"Are you sure you're a doctor?" Leonardo frowned. In such an emergency, even he, a medical doctor, didn't dare to handle it casually.

"Don't talk nonsense. If she dies, you'll be legally responsible for impersonating a doctor!" Leonardo warned.
Charles retorted sharply, "Do you think I'm lying? Move aside, or she'll really die!"
