Chapter 163 Just Speechless

"Hey, Miss Hawkins, wanna dance?" Tony swaggered over, oozing confidence.

"Nah, I don't dance, and I'm not into older dudes. Back off!" Nancy shot him down, no sugar-coating.

"Older dude? I'm only thirty! Just 'cause you're Mayor Hawkins' kid doesn't mean you gotta be so harsh," Tony thought, feeling a sting. "Thirty's prime time for a guy like me. I'm killin' it in my career."

Tony's face darkened for a sec, but he quickly shook it off. 'I'm the head honcho at Sullivan Group, not even thirty yet, and I'm rollin' in dough.'

'Loads of socialites are all over me. Never been turned down before. And now Nancy thinks I'm old?' Tony fumed inside, but it only fueled his drive.

The more a chick played hard to get, the more Tony wanted to win her over. "Mayor's daughter or not, you're gonna be mine."

Just then, Charles wrapped up a dance with Grace and was about to chill when Nancy ditched Tony and made a beeline for him. "Mr. Smoke, care to dance with me?"

Tony nearly choked. "Didn't you just say you couldn't dance? But you can with Mr. Smoke? What the hell?"

Usually cool, Tony was about to lose it. "Mr. Smoke, you think you can hog all the hotties? Snow, Grace, and now Nancy? Seriously, dude?"

The party was packed with beauties, but Snow, Grace, and Nancy were the real showstoppers, the ones every rich guy had his eye on.

Most guys held back, though. Mr. Smoke had already claimed Grace with a $46 million necklace. Snow had some mysterious ties with him and the Sullivan family. And Nancy? If Tony couldn't get her, no one else stood a chance.

But Nancy blew Tony off and went for Mr. Smoke instead. It was like he had a monopoly on the night's top three beauties.

"Sorry, I'm beat from dancing. Need a break," Charles said, turning Nancy down.

"Alright, no dancing, but I gotta ask you something, and you gotta be straight with me!" Nancy said, eyes locked on Charles.

"Shoot!"

"Do you have a girlfriend? Like, is Grace your girl?" Nancy asked, no beating around the bush.

Even though Charles had dropped $46 million on a necklace for Grace, Nancy needed to know if they were actually a thing.

"Not right now. Why do you wanna know?" Charles replied, cool as a cucumber.

"So, you're single, and Grace hasn't locked you down yet?" Nancy asked, getting a bit excited.

"Yeah, you could say that." Charles shrugged.

He knew Nancy was onto something. Sure, he had some flirty vibes going on, but nothing was set in stone. Maybe the girls were just playing it safe. And Charles didn't wanna mess up these delicate situations. His unique system meant once he was in a relationship, his flirting days were over.

"Charles, you know about the gossip surrounding Grace right? A year ago, she was blowing up in the entertainment world. Then she got busted for being a diva on set, fighting with directors, and hooking up with some rich dude at a hotel, which got her attacked by his wife. That doesn't bother you?" Nancy asked.

"Doesn't bother me. She'll clean up her rep soon, and I've got the cash to back her up!" Charles said, totally chill.

"How much are you planning to drop on her?" Nancy asked, feeling like something was off. It seemed like Charles was getting played!

"Not much. She mentioned a $3 million luxury car, a house in downtown Nuw Yark, and investments in two $77 million movies. Honestly, I think her demands are too low, so I doubled it!" Charles said, like it was no big deal.

Nancy almost choked. 'These demands are insane. You're loaded but way too naive. This chick is totally using you. How can you be so clueless?' she thought.

For a moment, Nancy looked at Charles with a mix of pity and frustration. 'Charles comes from a hidden wealthy family, trained in all sorts of skills from a young age. He's spent his life learning, never dealing with the real world's tricks. Some women might look gorgeous, but they're like vampires inside. Charles, talented and pure-hearted, wants to treat the woman he likes well, no matter the cost. But Grace is exploiting his kindness, using him to pay off her debts and making crazy demands. A $3 million car, a house in downtown Nuw Yark, and investments in $77 million movies? Just to be his girlfriend? What a schemer! How can she not feel guilty making these demands?' Nancy thought.

Even as a fellow woman, Nancy felt it was too much. She looked at Charles, who seemed to think he hadn't done enough, and felt speechless.

"Charles, don't you think Grace's demands are a bit over the top?" Nancy asked.

"Not at all. Isn't it normal for a guy to spend money on a girl? And so far, I've only given her $30 million!" Charles said, like it was nothing.

"Only?" Nancy was at a loss for words.
