Chapter 199 No Need to Renew the Lease Next Month

It had only been like ten minutes since Charles went to grab Daniel, and when he got back to the restaurant, he saw this dude in his thirties trying to hit on Alice.

The guy looked loaded, judging by his fancy clothes.

"Charles, what's up with this?" Daniel asked, looking all confused.

"Nothing much, let's go see what's happening," Charles said, and they strolled over.

Alice saw Charles and immediately lit up with a smile. It was like a flower blooming or that warm spring sunshine—totally radiant but not too much.

Ryan was instantly hooked by that sweet smile!

"Miss, I know I might be coming on strong, but I really wanna get to know you. Why push me away? More friends, more possibilities, right? A beautiful girl like you should keep you options open!" Ryan said, but then he felt a tap on his back. He turned around to see two young guys standing there.

These two looked pretty good, probably in their early twenties. They still had that youthful vibe, like college kids who hadn't graduated yet.

A guy in his early twenties should be living it up, but also probably broke, 'cause asking parents for money was kinda embarrassing, and they couldn't make much on their own yet.

Just starting out in the real world, scraping by. If a guy like that had a girlfriend, things would be pretty tight.

But Ryan was different; at thirty, he was in his prime and already had his dad's shares, otherwise, he wouldn't be rocking a $1.26 million watch.

Hitting on a girl with a boyfriend is awkward, but when Ryan saw they were just two young dudes, he didn't take Charles seriously at all!

"Hey man, let's get to know each other. Here's my card!"

Charles took the card and glanced at it.

Ryan

Board Member, Centra Group

Chairman, Cloud Entertainment

Founder, Spruce Investments

Wow, a bunch of fancy titles!

Especially the Centra Group Board Member one, that sounded big.

To be a big shot in Centra Group, you gotta be worth at least hundreds of millions.

Charles didn't know Ryan had just taken over his dad's shares this year. If Ryan's dad hadn't had a stroke, there's no way this young guy would be controlling such a huge fortune.

Ryan used to be a wild party animal, and his dad had put a bunch of financial restrictions on him, only giving him less than $10,000 a month.

But at the start of this year, after taking over the shares, Ryan went all out!

Of course, his shares in Centra Group only made him a minor player.

If it were an ordinary rich kid, they might be scared off by him.

But Charles didn't care.

So Charles just smiled a bit, flicked the business card away, and said, "Hey man, ever been punched in the face?"

"What do you mean?" Ryan frowned, looking all confused.

"Dude, you're hitting on my girl right in front of me, and now that I'm here, you don't back off? Instead, you hand me your business card. What are you trying to do, provoke me?"

"Hey man, chill out. I'm just trying to make more friends. You can't be that petty, can you?" Before Ryan could finish his sentence, Charles slapped him hard across the face.

The slap left Ryan completely stunned.

He never expected that after handing over his business card and revealing his background, this young guy would still dare to hit him?

It was outrageous.

A big shot from Centra Group getting slapped by a college kid!

Ryan was furious, really furious!

"You bastard, how dare you hit me?" Ryan roared and tried to fight back.

As he charged forward, Charles kicked him away, using only a third of his strength.

But even so, Ryan almost couldn't get up from that kick.

"Mr. Turner, are you okay?" Cindy asked, looking worried.

"Damn it, just wait. Today, I'll make sure you can't leave here unscathed. I'll call for backup!" Ryan roared.

The commotion quickly alerted the manager of the BBQ restaurant.

"Manager, there's a fight in our restaurant. Should we call the cops?"

"A fight? Let's go check it out!" The BBQ restaurant manager frowned.

When he arrived at the front hall, he saw Ryan on the ground. "Mr. Turner, is that you? Were you hit?"

"Manager Baker, you're just in time. Get these two punks out of here!"

Hearing this, Manager Baker knew this was his chance, then immediately glared at Charles and Daniel.

Since Mr. Turner had an impressive background and was a regular at this BBQ joint, if Manager Baker could handle this well and satisfy Mr. Turner, he might have greater opportunities for advancement!

"Gentlemen, you are not welcome here. Please leave. Also, you assaulted someone without reason. We have video surveillance. I advise you to apologize to Mr. Turner, or we will reserve the right to pursue legal action against you!" Manager Baker, accompanied by a group of employees, said righteously.

"Are you sure you want me to apologize to him and kick me out?" Charles raised his eyebrows and questioned coldly.

"I'm sure. I hope you cooperate. We're all grown-ups here; don't force my hand!"

The atmosphere suddenly became tense.

Alice had already called the property management as the conflict broke out.

So just as Manager Baker finished speaking, more than twenty security guards suddenly rushed into the BBQ restaurant, with a middle-aged man leading them.

"Manager Hall, you're just in time. There's a fight in our restaurant, and it's these two guys!" Manager Baker said to the middle-aged man.

But Mark Hall ignored Manager Baker and instead jogged over to Alice, bowing to Charles along the way.

"Ms. Mitchell, is there a problem here?"

"No problem. Just make sure this BBQ restaurant moves out within three days. I heard their lease is up, right? No need to renew it next month!" Alice instructed.

Upon finishing her words, the entire restaurant fell silent!
