Chapter 227 Initiating the Revenge Plan
"Alice, what's your game plan? You gonna spill the beans to Charles?" Snow suddenly asked.
"Absolutely! How can I just act like nothing happened? Should I just sit back while the guy I like is into other women? No way. I don't care how loaded he is, I'm not ditching my principles. Sharing a guy? Not happening. That's not how I was raised!" Alice said, her voice firm.
Even though she knew breaking up with Charles would hurt like hell and she might never find another guy she liked as much, she had to do it.
"Have you thought about the fact that if you dump him now, he might take back the building he gave you? Legally, he can do that!" Lori suddenly reminded her.
"I don't care about that stuff!"
"You might not care, but you can't let him off easy either. Charles, that jerk, did all this. Are you just gonna let him walk away? Shouldn't he get what's coming to him?" Lori said, fuming.
"Lori, what do you think we should do?" Jessica asked.
Lori replied immediately, "It's simple. Since he likes to mess with girls' feelings, we need to make him go broke. Charles is filthy rich, you gotta admit that. Even if you break up with him now, he won't feel a thing. There'll still be other girls falling for his crap. And what's the root of his evil? Money. As long as he's got cash, there'll always be girls who like him. So, you need to drain his bank account."
"For now, keep your knowledge to yourself. Once all of Charles' assets are in your hands, he'll be at your mercy. He won't have the chance to hurt other girls anymore! Doesn't that sound sweet? Shouldn't a jerk like him get what he deserves?" Lori said passionately, her words hitting home.
After thinking it over, Alice, Jessica, and Snow realized Lori had a point.
Charles was insanely rich and never short on women. Even if they left, other women would still fall for his tricks.
Was that what they wanted? Definitely not!
So, they had to make Charles go broke. Maybe once he was bankrupt, he wouldn't keep chasing after other girls!
With this in mind, the four girls decided to team up. They acted like nothing had happened, letting Charles, the jerk, think he was still in control. But in reality, they were already plotting his downfall, aiming to blow through all his money.
Lori even laid out a plan on how to get his money without raising any red flags. Alice, Snow, and Jessica soaked it all in!
"Lori, from what I know, Charles' assets are at least fifty billion dollars. It seems really tough to make him go bankrupt," Jessica said, looking worried.
"Charles has that much cash?" Lori was floored.
"Yep, maybe even more!" Jessica nodded. Charles had bragged about having $50 billion in assets to inherit, and Jessica had always bought it. She was so convinced that Snow and Alice believed it too. Fifty billion dollars—what a mind-blowing number!
leaned forward, her eyes intense as she spoke, "So what if it's $50 billion? Are you scared of that number? If you stick to the plan I laid out and play it smart, you can definitely make Charles go broke. It might just take a bit longer! You can take it slow, a few billion at a time, or tens of billions."
With a determined look, Lori continued, "If the three of you do this together, even if Charles has $50 billion, he can't keep up with that kind of spending. When he goes bankrupt, he'll be at your mercy."
"Yes! Lori, you're right. Let's do it!" Jessica was all in on the revenge plan.
Sure, it was a bit harsh, but Charles had wronged them first! A jerk like him deserved to pay the price!
"I'm in too!" Alice nodded, ready to join the scheme. Then, Lori, Jessica, and Alice all turned to Snow.
"Snow, what's holding you back?"
"Nothing, I just think that Charles did save my life. Wouldn't this be like biting the hand that fed me?" Snow said, looking torn.
"Snow, yeah, he saved your life, but that doesn't give him a free pass to be a jerk. Do you think he gave you a billion-dollar share out of the goodness of his heart? He definitely has some hidden agenda! I'm telling you, he just wants to use you!" Lori kept stoking the fire.
"Alright, I'll join the plan!" Snow reluctantly nodded.
From that moment on, the alliance was officially formed. Their ultimate goal? Blow through all of Charles' $50 billion and make this jerk go bankrupt!
But if Charles knew about their plan, he'd probably laugh his head off. Fifty billion dollars? They could spend it however they wanted! Even if they could burn through $50 billion a day, Charles wouldn't sweat it. He might even thank them for helping him spend a bit more of his Special Funds.
Lori concluded, "In that case, let's set up a Facebook group chat. We can share info anytime and make sure Charles doesn't catch wind of our plan. Also, remember, no getting involved with Charles. Your goal is revenge, not putting yourself in danger."
"Let's not allow that scoundrel to manipulate us. Keep him on his toes, and let's stand united. As long as Charles remains unaware of our alliance, he'll be on edge. That's our advantage!" Lori's enthusiasm was infectious.
