Chapter 224 Masterful Skills

Charles had already leveled up his basketball and piano skills without burning through too many enhancement points.

But medical skills? Those were a whole different ball game, costing a whopping 100 points. And they weren't like the other skills.

For most skills, a few years of enhancement—three, five, maybe ten—would do the trick.

But with medical skills, a few years wouldn't cut it. You'd still be a rookie!

Plus, there were so many different medical skills. No way could someone learn them all in one lifetime. And the kicker? A top-notch doctor needed not just book smarts but decades of hands-on experience, diagnosing, treating, and researching all sorts of cases.

You couldn't just cram that kind of practice and theory into a few years. And let's not forget, there were all kinds of medicine out there, and some diseases were just plain incurable.

As long as there were diseases that couldn't be cured, he'd never be the ultimate medical guru!

Being a legendary healer just meant being better than all the other doctors and professors out there. It didn't mean he could cure everything.

Charles didn't dwell on it. Sure, 100 points was a lot, but now wasn't the time to hesitate.

So he made the decision, 'System, boost me to legendary healer status!'

'Enhancing to legendary healer requires deducting 100 enhancement points. Confirm?'

'Confirm!'

'Enhancement complete! Receive the medical knowledge and experience!'

In the next second, Charles's mind felt like it was going to explode, with a flood of knowledge and experience pouring in.

This wasn't just a simple 100 years of learning. An ordinary person could only study a few hours a day, but the system was cramming in knowledge 24/7.

So, his hundred years of knowledge and experience were like a thousand years for a regular person.

But all that info didn't overwhelm him. It was like a well-organized library in his mind. When he didn't need it, it stayed put.

But when he did, the right answers and experiences popped up instantly, like muscle memory. It was ingrained in him.

"Oh no, Roxy's not breathing!"

"Move! Don't get in Mr. Morris's way. If you don't know what you're doing, step aside!"

"It's no use, Roxy's gone. It's your fault for delaying her treatment!" Roxy's friend sobbed, holding her still body.

Charles had just shoved Leonardo aside, claiming he was an internist. But when he got to Roxy, he just squatted there for thirty seconds, doing nothing.

And in those thirty seconds, Roxy's heart had stopped!

Leonardo rushed over to check.

"Professor Morris, how's Roxy doing?"

"Her heart's stopped, and her pulse is barely there. I'm afraid..." Leonardo shook his head, looking grim.

Such a shame for such a young, beautiful girl to go like this.

"Mr. Morris, is there really no way to save her?"

"Her heart attack is too severe. If we had a defibrillator, we might have a shot. But we don't, and the ambulance is at least five to ten minutes out. After ten minutes, not even Jesus could save her!" Leonardo's words hit like a ton of bricks.

Her heart had stopped, which basically meant she was already gone. The odds of bringing her back were slim to none.

Sure, when someone's heart stopped, there was a brief window where the brain was still getting some oxygen, and they were technically not completely gone. If you jumped in with CPR right away, there was a tiny chance. But after ten minutes? Game over. The brain would be toast from lack of oxygen.

"Move aside, I can still save her!" With his new legendary healer skills, Charles pushed Leonardo aside and got to work on Roxy.

Charles's technique was unlike anything anyone had seen. He used one hand to rhythmically press on her chest while the other hand moved over different acupoints.

He was laser-focused. Every press was precise.

Two minutes ticked by.

Finally, someone couldn't take it anymore! "What is he doing? Is he some kind of perv? Roxy's already like this, and he won't leave her alone?"

"Okay, I get that pressing the heart can help with blood flow and maybe restart it. But why's he touching her chest like that? And what's with the other hand all over her? Is this a joke?"

"This creep, is he trying to cop a feel?"

"How shameless, how despicable. In broad daylight, in front of everyone, he's disrespecting her body? How disgraceful!"

"Get out of the way!" A cheerleader who was close to Roxy finally had enough and rushed over to push Charles away.

But just then, Roxy, who had been still and without a pulse for three minutes, suddenly opened her eyes. She took a deep breath, sat up, and started coughing. Everyone was completely floored.

"This is unreal. No defibrillator, and he brought her back just by pressing on her chest?" Leonardo was in shock. This was beyond anything he'd learned in med school.

Reviving someone whose heart had stopped was already a long shot. But Charles, without any medical gear, just using his hands, had brought her back from the brink. What kind of magic was this? It was a miracle!
