Chapter 235 Solved the Last Question
The first round of the written test was supposed to take ninety minutes, but Charles breezed through it in just twenty.
Charles, the legendary healer with mad medical skills, knew his stuff inside out.
To him, those tricky professional questions were a piece of cake.
While some complex medical terms might stump regular folks, Charles could nail the answers with just a quick glance.
He could even come up with over a dozen treatment plans for the same condition.
"Professors, I'm done with the test. Please check it," Charles said, standing up and handing his paper to the three medical experts after just twenty minutes.
"So fast?" Mr. Evans, Dr. Reed, and Dr. Hall were stunned! This test was tougher than the usual medical license exam, with two questions diving deep into professional medical research.
These kinds of questions shouldn't even be on a medical license test.
The three experts started grading the paper.
At first, they were calm, but as they went on, their expressions turned to shock. In just twenty minutes, Charles had nailed every question.
There was even a question that was worded wrong, and Charles had corrected it.
'What level is this guy?' they wondered.
Mr. Evans broke the silence as he said, "Look, he actually solved the last question?"
"How is that possible? This is a world-class problem. How could he solve it? Could it be a fluke?" Dr. Hall gaped at the paper, pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.
"No, look, this treatment plan is super innovative. The method he proposed is totally feasible. If this method works, then millions of infected people worldwide could be treated!" Dr. Reed chinned in.
The three expert professors were blown away. With their high medical standards, they could see that Charles's solution was impressive.
A guy who hadn't even passed the medical license exam proposing a solution to a world-class virus?
"This treatment plan is very innovative, and his argument is solid. It hasn't been clinically tested, so we can't be sure it's correct. So I think we should give him 5 points, deduct 5 points, and give him 95 points."
"I disagree. I think he should get full marks. Whether or not the plan has been clinically tested, the proposed plan is feasible. Since we can't verify it, the correct argument should get full marks!"
"I also agree with giving full marks!"
Despite seeming to make things tough for Charles, these three experts still had principles!
After their initial shock, they gradually regained their composure and made a decision.
After this assessment, they planned to dive deep into researching Charles's treatment plan.
If the experimental results were spot on, it could totally blow everyone's minds!
"Charles, congrats! We decided to give you 98 points on your written test!"
"Actually, Mr. Evans and I gave you full marks, but Dr. Hall insisted that since one of your treatment plans hadn't been clinically tested, he couldn't give you full marks. But hey, 98 points is still super high!"
98 points was indeed impressive. Even they might not score above 90 on such a tough assessment. But to save face, they naturally couldn't admit in front of a young guy that they couldn't do it either!
"98 points? Alright then!" Charles was pretty happy with that score since he had never gotten full marks on an exam before.
A 100-point test paper scoring 98 points was definitely something to be proud of!
"Charles, even though you scored 98 points on the written test, don't get cocky. No matter how high your theoretical knowledge is, if your practical skills are lacking, you're still not a qualified doctor. You have to understand, you can make mistakes on a test paper, but you absolutely can't make mistakes when treating patients! A test paper can be corrected, but life only happens once! If your misdiagnosis puts a patient's life in danger, you can't afford that mistake. So our assessment will be stricter when it comes to treating patients. Be mentally prepared!" Dr. Reed continued.
From Charles's speed and accuracy, he was likely a medical genius. And his personality seemed a bit different from what Thaddeus had described over the phone.
Charles wasn't as arrogant as they had imagined.
If they could recruit such talent into their hospital, it might be a great move!
The written test was over, so Charles and the three experts stepped out of the infirmary together.
"He's out, he's out. Did Charles finish the written test that quickly?"
"Maybe the questions were too tough and he gave up?"
"Actually, I've taken the medical license assessment. It's really hard, not something an average person can pass. It's normal if Charles can't pass. After all, he's a School of Arts student. If he could pass the medical license exam, then what are we medical students for?"
Seeing Charles come out so soon, the crowd started gossiping.
"How did it go, Dr. Reed, Mr. Evans, Dr. Hall? Did Charles fail the written test?" Thaddeus asked with a grin.
"No, Charles's theoretical knowledge is super impressive. He scored 98 points on this written test!" Dr. Reed replied.
Hearing that, Thaddeus was completely stunned, but the expert professors ignored him because next, they were going to conduct the practical diagnosis, which was the most crucial part.
