Massimo
I couldn’t believe how much thought Bella put into the Christmas decorations, thinking of stories we could tell our kids one day and traditions we could start now already as just the two of us and my parents. I felt even worse now for my reaction to everything. I’ll make a point of it to go and find a special Christmas decoration for Rachel, one she could cherish forever. That was my mission next week, I’ll have to ask Marco which Christmas stores they visited.
“Bella, can I bounce the meeting of you, I never had someone I could trust like I trust you and you know everything about the families.” “Yes, off course Massimo.” “You’re not feeling to sick?” “No, go ahead.” “Okay, great. Damon came to me and we brainstormed what bullshit I’m going to spin the families. We know we can’t do anything about the Ricci’s at the moment, not until the FBI is done. So, we needed something to distract them. I’m also not sure if it is the FBI following them, but my gut tells me its someone else, and my gut is never wrong. But there is always a first time. Why did Anton threaten you and why are everyone being followed?” “There is a very big possibility that your bullshit is true Massimo. I’m digging into the Ricci’s files again like I told you and there is a company I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere else. Now I want to cross reverence all of the files we have. But if you get everyone’s new details that would make everything so much easier and we can update the information we have. It was actually a stroke of genius from you and Damon even if you didn’t think about it in that way.” “Well thank you Bella.” “But on a serious note, do you think we are being followed?” “My guys are good Bella you don’t have to worry; they are on high alert.” “I understand Massimo but Anton still followed us in Paris.” That’s different Bella, here we know who to look out for and what is suspicious it’s more complicated in a new city.” “That’s probable true.” “If it would make you feel better, I can get more guys going out with you, then there will be two cars and it will be much more difficult to follow you.” “No Massimo, two bodyguards are more than enough and I feel safe with them no need to add more people into the mix.” “Okay but just if, you are sure?” “100% sure, thank you Massimo. When are they sending you the information, then I can update their files and cross reference all the names and shell companies?” “Bella you’re sick, you can’t do that.” “Massimo, I’ll stay at home and work on it and then there is a much smaller chance that I can be followed. I just need to go out on Monday.” “Where are you going?” “Well, someone asked for a Reindeer decorations and I want something more for on top of the fire place and we couldn’t find warmer running cloths, so I need to go buy those.” “You know all those things can wait right?” “Yes, but what is done is done.” “Only if you feeling better sweetheart.” “I’m already feeling better Massimo, probable your moms’ soup.” “I’m very glad to hear that. Then as soon as I get the files, I’ll give it to you. There is something I wanted to show you yesterday but you weren’t feeling well when I got home.” “And what is that?” “Come with me” I took her hand and walked to the bedroom next to my office, when I opened the door all I could hear was Bella saying “Oh my God Massimo, it’s beautiful.” “I’m glad you like it.” “When did you have time to do this?” “The decorator and her team came in yesterday when you guys were out.” “And she did everything in one day?” “Yes Bella” “Wow”

I actually felt better after the soup I really hoped I would keep it down. When Massimo asked me what I needed to do on Monday I had to think fast. He made the joke about the Reindeer, so I’ll used that and I was thinking when I looked at the fireplace earlier that we needed something for on top of the fireplace and the white lie I told about the gym cloths, it wasn’t really a lie I was planning to go and buy two more pairs just not right now. But hey let’s do that. Massimo took me to the bedroom next to his office and when he opened the door, I couldn’t believe my eyes the only words that escape was “Oh my God” it was absolutely beautiful in the middle of the room where the bed use to stand was a big white desk with copper feet, there was a huge white chair behind the desk and a white Apple computer on the desk. Above the fireplace was a black and white abstract painting and on each side of the painting was a light fixer in the same copper as the feet of my desk. In front of the desk was a colourful carpet, in pastel colours it was the only colour in the room. Then there was a white chair for guest to sit in. On either side of the fire place was a bookshelf that was build into the wall with books, candles and other trinkets. To the side where the lounge chairs where was a white boardroom table with the same copper feet and 8 white chairs around the table. The only change in the bathroom was the pastel colour towels. It was absolutely stunning. When we got to the boardroom table, I asked Massimo “Why would I need a boardroom Massimo?” “You never know Bella, sometimes I used mine for when I have a lot of papers to work through and my desk is too small, there is always ways to use the desk sweetheart.” “When did they do all this?” “Yesterday while you guys were out.” “That was quick Massimo.” “Do you like it Bella?” “I love it Massimo it’s absolutely amazing, I don’t think I want to go into the office anymore.” He laughed at me “You can always work from home Bella; I’ll never force you to go to the office.” “Thank you, Massimo, I think, I’ll get more done here than at the office.” “As you wish.” I was thinking of the morning sickness and the pregnancy that was lying ahead. Being at home would probably be best in the beginning especially if I’m going to be this sick. Just the thought of being sick had me running to the bathroom and vomiting out my supper. Massimo was behind me rubbing my back. When I was done Massimo picked me up and carried me to our bathroom to brush my teeth and to get into bed. “Too much excitement for you today, Bella.” “I really wished I could keep that soup down.” “Don’t worry my mom will bring more tomorrow, I’ll just get the medication for you.” “No, it’s not necessary Massimo, I don’t have a fever anymore I’ll just suck on one of those suckers Bianca bought me.” “You sure?” “Positive.” I had to think what was best for the baby and I haven’t googled those tablets yet. Even if my head was killing me now I won’t be able to take anything. I got into bed and was fast asleep within minutes.
