I woke up to Massimo kissing me softly on the lips. I opened my eyes and the most handsome face greeted me. “Morning Bella, slept well?” “Morning Massimo, very well thank you.” He offered me my latte “thank you, shouldn’t you be at the office already?” It was already 9am and he was normally at the office. “That’s the privilege of being your own boss I can go to the office when ever I want.” “That’s certainly true.” “I wanted to check on you before I leave.” “Why, I’m ok Massimo, I’m feeling better every day.” “Not your health Bella, about last night and the flogging. Are you okay, did it feel like I was abusing you? What’s going on in your head?” “I feel on top of the world Massimo it was the best sex I’ve ever had and I really like the flogging, we should definitely do that again.” “Bella it’s probably the endorphins that is making you feel so good, you will come down from that and as soon as you feel sad or have issues with what we did last night I want you to promise me you will tell me immediately I need to know where your head is at, at all times when it comes to what we do in the bedroom.” “I promise Massimo, I will tell you.” “That’s all I ask, Thank you Bella. What is your plans for today?” “I want to go for a run and then look at my clothes and see what I need to buy tomorrow.” “What I’m buying tomorrow not you, I expect you to be okay with the fact that I will pay for tomorrow’s outing and no arguing about it.” “But Massimo, you can’t.” “I will and can, get use to it. If you go for a run take Marco with his a good runner, please.” “I will Massimo.” “Well then if you sure you okay, let me get to the office, my boss is a bastard if his in a bad mood.” I threw him with my pillow, “no his not” Massimo just laughed and walked out of the room. “Bye Bella” “See you later Massimo.”
I got up and brush my teeth and put my running clothes on, I called Marco and asked him if he’ll join me for a run. “I’m ready Rachel boss told me you wanted to go for a run.” “Great,thank you, get you at the elevator.” I found Marco waiting for me at the elevator. “Where do you want to run to Rachel?” “I would love to run to Central Park and when we come back I want to stop at the coffee shop I worked at.” Marco said I should follow him then we where of. When we got outside we cross the street and ran on the opposite side of the coffee shop. We ran through a lot of people to get to Central Park, I told Marco to take the lead as I didn’t know the best place in Central Park to run at. He took me on the most beautiful route of Central Park it didn’t even feel like I was running the scenery was just to beautiful. Marco stopped at a bridge and we had a water break. “You still good Rachel?” “Yes it’s so beautiful here” “Are you ready to go back?” “Yes, can we stop at the coffee shop before we go back to the apartment?” “Off course.” We started to run again and I was impress with Marco keeping a pace I can keep up with. I was impress with myself to for keeping up with him I haven’t went for a run since a came to New York, we ran from Central Park directly to the coffee shop again trying to avoid all the people on the side walk.
I walked into the coffee shop with Marco behind me. “Hi Carl” “Ooo my gosh Rachel you still alive” “Off course I am” He got a look at my face when I took of my cap. “Jeez your face is still blue.” “Jeez thank you Carl I haven’t notice.” “Sorry Rachel it’s just a shock it’s been almost 2 weeks now. It’s worse then I thought that’s all.” “No worries Carl, I just dropped in to see how you are doing?” “I’m good, haven’t found someone as good as you or as sexy as you but I’m still looking.” He winked at me. “Awww thank you Carl. How’s your friends doing?” “Everyone is good, they did asked about you I just told them you where assaulted but not all the details, I said it was a mugging gone wrong.” “Thank you Carl.” I started to feel weird around Carl and decided it’s time to go home. I asked Marco what he wanted to drink and order a hazelnut latte for me and an espresso for him. Before I could get the money out of my pocket Marco already paid. I said goodbye to Carl. Marco and I took our drinks and walked out of the coffee shop. Marco must have sensed something was off because when we where outside he asked “You okay Rachel?” “I’m okay that was just weird I thought we were friends.”
Marco walked in silence next to me. When we reached the alley were I was attacked something came over me and I just froze. I dropped my latte and started to shiver and hyperventilate, I was struggling to get air in my lungs. I heard someone say, breath Rachel breath, I felt a hand on my shoulder and the person kept on saying breath Rachel, breath. Goddamit Bella breath I heard the person screaming. Then I was pick up and was floating in the air. Rachel breath, breath. When we where in front of the apartment building I could hear Massimo’s voice. “Bella breath for me in through the nose out through the mouth. Bella can you hear me?” “Boss she’s trying I can see it” I think I heard Marco said. “Bella please in through the nose out through your mouth.” I was in someone’s arms again going up, I was put down on something soft. Still hearing Massimo’s voice breath Bella in through your nose out through your mouth. I was still trying to do what Massimo said but I was struggling and I didn’t see Massimo I only heard him. Marco was next to me with a glass of water, “Rachel drink, please take a sip.” “Bella try to take a sip of water” I heard Massimo. With a sob I said “I need you Massimo” “I’m on my way Bella.”
That’s the last thing I heard before I passed out.
