I couldn’t believe what I was reading in Costa’s will. I took the will and then went looking for the manager of the club. Damon said his going home so long. He didn’t want to leave Danielle alone to long. Although Rachel was with her. I found someone in an office at the back of the club. “Are you the manager?” I asked the guy. “Yes, sir I am, can I help you.” “I think you should now, your boss is dead and there will be a new owner according to Costa’s Last will and testament but for tonight just go on as normal and you might need a new bouncer as well.” The guy didn’t ask any questions he must have known what Costa was into. He said thank you for letting him know and he will open the club as normal. Then Luca took me back to Damon’s apartment. As we drove there, I phoned Romana. “Marchetti.” “’Romana, we need to talk.” “About?” “Romana, we need to talk, meet me at my club tomorrow at 12 it’s important.” Then I put the phone down. I wondered if he knew and if he did why didn’t he do anything about it. We arrived at Damon’s penthouse and I walked into the living room where I found Rachel, Damon and Danielle, sitting and chatting. Rachel got up and hugged me. “I’m so glad you are safe Massimo.” I took her face in my hand and kissed her. I was more grateful for this woman than I could ever say. “You two had a nice visit?” “Yes, we did.” “Thank you for bringing her.” Danielle said. “I didn’t really have a chose.” I laughed at them.
Rachel
I was sitting in Danielle’s room busy on my laptop when she woke up. “Damon!” I quickly got up and went to her. “Danielle it’s Rachel, Damon went to that meeting remember.” “Oh yes. But what are you doing here?” “I came to make sure you okay and not alone.” “Ah thank you Rachel.” “Can I get you something?” “Water please.” I quickly went to the kitchen and got Danielle a water. “Here you go.” “Thank you, Rachel, what are you doing?” “I’m busy looking over the plans for the rooms the interior designer send me.” “Can I see?” “Yes, off course.” I pulled the chair closer to the bed and showed her a few rooms. “Let me show you, my favorite.” I told her then went to the picture of the baby’s room. “What do you think about this one?” “Oh, Rachel it is stunning. Your probable can’t wait anymore?” “Still another few weeks to go then they are here. I just hope everything is sorted with Massimo’s business, if you know what I mean?” “Yes, I do, I stress myself sick every time Damon goes out.” “No Danielle you shouldn’t do that, you’ll make yourself sick. They are both big boys they can take care of themselves it’s just when the life-threatening stuff comes in, I stress.” “I wish I can get there.” “Give it time you will. What about I go make you something to eat?” “That does sound good I haven’t eaten since last night and what time is it now?” “Already past 6 pm.” “Oh, my goodness I hope I can sleep tonight.” “I’m very sure you would be. Let’s get you out of bed for a while.” I helped Danielle out of bed and we both walked to the kitchen. “What are you in the mood for?” “Just a sandwich will do, there is turkey and tomato in the fridge.” “Okay then one turkey, tomato and cheese sandwich on it’s way.” Danielle went to sit at the counter while I made the sandwich. “You want an Ice Latte with that?” “Can you make one here, do we even have the ingredients?” “I can make an ice late anywhere Danielle it’s my craving.” “Then yes please.” I made Danielle a Ice late with her sandwich and then we went to sit in the living room where Damon found us almost an hour later. “Ladies” “Ah you home Damon.” “Off course I am angel, how are you feeling?” “Better since I have something in my stomach.” Damon walked to Danielle and gave her a kiss on the forehead. “Where’s Massimo?” I asked Damon. “His just got one thing to sort out at the club then he’ll be here.” “But everything with the cartel is sorted?” I asked Damon. “Yes Rachel. Nothing to worry about know.” “That’s the best news I had all month.” “I’m glad I could give you that news.” Then we just talked about the new house or should I say I talked about the new house. I was so excited and they could see it. It was as clear as day. Just before 8 pm we heard the lift open and Massimo walked in. I got up and gave him huge hug “I’m so glad you are safe Massimo.” He took my face in his hand and kissed me, probable not appropriate in front of other people but hell why not. “You two had a nice visit?” Massimo asked me and Danielle “Yes we did.” “Thank you for bringing her.” Danielle said. “I didn’t really had a chose.” I gave him a slap on the shoulder. “Hey I’m right here.” I joke with him. “Bella did you give Damon or me a chose?” “No, I did not.” “So, then I didn’t say anything that is not true.” “Ja okay that’s true.” “You ready to go?” Massimo asked me. “Yes sure.” I went to Danielle and gave her a hug. “And if anything, ever happens to you again you phone me, do you understand?” I told Danielle. “Yes mom.” “You better say that. And you!” I looked at Damon “Call us if something is wrong especially if one of you need to go to the hospital. I don’t have family here and I see you guys as family, I would like it if you are in the twins lives so, please don’t fuck this up Damon.” “Yes mam.” Was all Damon said. Damon and Massimo whispered something to each other and then Massimo and I left. I could see there was something on Massimo’s mind. So on our way home I asked him “What’s wrong Massimo?” “It’s not really my story to tell Bella but maybe I’ll tell you tomorrow. Can we leave it for tonight?” “Yes off course.”
