Monday morning came quicker than we wanted it to. Rachel and I got ready and we were off to the city, I had my meeting with Fedorov later today and Bella wanted to go shopping for the twins. On our way to the city, I asked Bella “How would you feel if I come with you?” “Shopping?” she asked surprised. “Yes, Bella shopping.” “I’d love it maybe you can stop me from being to much.” “Nonsense I would never.” “That’s true.” We first stopped at the penthouse to leave our bags and Bella wanted to get a list she made that was in her office. This woman has list on list on list, I’m not even sure we are done with the first list when she has another list. When we got to the penthouse Bella got quiet. “What’s wrong?” “It just hit my now that we are not living, like living here anymore and I just remember all our firsts.” “Believe me sweetheart I also remembered all our first the night I left.” I walked to the kitchen; Bella followed me. I touch the kitchen counter, “Like the first time I tasted you right here.” I patted the kitchen counter. “God how can I forget. Maybe we should give that one another shot, like saying goodbye to the penthouse.” “I won’t say no to that sweetheart.” Then I walked to the living room, “remember the first time I kissed you here in front of the windows?” “That was the best night of my life at that point but you just made every day better than the previous since then.” “That makes me happy to hear sweetheart. Go get your list before I get other ideas.” She got on her toes and kissed me I wanted to make the kiss last and take over but she pulled away. “No no not now, now we’re going shopping.” “Yes Mam.” I said it like a soldier. Bella left me in the living room and she walked to her office that’s when I got the call from Damon “Good morning, Damon.” “You sound in a good mood Massimo.” “Why not it’s spring and I’m having twins with the best women on earth.” “It sounds like you used that bed of yours.” “Fuck of Damon, what do you want.” “I’m just confirming the meeting with MacMillan on Wednesday.” “Yes, I’m still good with it, is it still at 4 pm?” “Yes, I’m just warning you Massimo he just got out of rehab, he was wary of other people before, he might be worse now.” “I know how to handle people like that Damon, don’t worry.” “I’m not worrying I just need this meeting to go well.” “It will. Did you buy that house you went to see?” “Yes, I did just waiting on the paper work.” “That’s very good news, congratulations we should celebrate.” “Massimo you always look for a reason to celebrate.” “No, I don’t. Sorry Damon I have to go Bella and I are going shopping for the twins and she’s waiting for me. See you Wednesday.” “Cheers Massimo love to Rachel.” “What are we celebrating?” Bella asked when I disconnect the call. “Damon put an offer in on the house he’s just waiting for the papers.” “That’s awesome news.” “See, it’s worth to celebrate.” “Yes Massimo.” She said while walking to the lift. We got in the SUV’s when Luca asked where we are going. Bella looked at me and then back at Luca, “Time Square please Luca” “Really?” “Yes, Massimo I want to go to Toys-R-Us and that is the biggest store.” “Okay.” I wasn’t a fan of Time Square and Bella knew it but I’ll do anything for Bella and my twins. Luca dropped us at the doors and Marco came with us while Luca went to look for parking which is hell to find in Time Square. Bella took the lead when we walked into Toys-R-Us but there where so much I would have liked to buy, like the cars that looked like real cars. Bella pulled me away from the cars. “They still to young for that.” “Well technically because they are still in your belly but if they are here, I’m sure we can put them in and I can use the remote control to take them everywhere.” “No Massimo.” “Jeez Bella you are no fun.” We found the diapers she wanted, breast pads and other pads. Maybe I should have stayed home. Then she asked me to look for toys for infants. I went to that section and made my decision it felt like I was part of everything which was nice although I still want to buy those cars there was even a pink one for little Bella. I’ll come back to buy it I’ll come back to Time Square to buy it although I didn’t like Time Square. When Bella got everything, she wanted she told Luca our next stop was a clothing store for babies. When we got there Bella said “Okay Massimo you chose what the twins will wear the day they are born.” “That sounds like a huge responsibility.” “It’s just cloths Massimo we need to get to the hard stuff very soon.” “And what is that?” “Their names.” I dropped what I had in my hand “I assumed we will do family names.” I told her. “I don’t think so I’m not going to have two Massimo’s in the house thank you very much and I’m not calling my son Salvadore as well it can be Italian but something different.” “And what about our girl you don’t want her to be Rossa?” “No Massimo I want different names for the twins.” “But…” I tried “No sorry Massimo that is non-negotiable.” To say I wasn’t happy was an understatement. I turned around and walked out of the clothing store. Bella was on my heels. “Massimo what is wrong now?” “I just always thought our children will carry the names our forefathers gave us.” “Sorry Massimo I’m not into that. Our children need their own names and identities they are already having your surname why can’t we call them something we like?” I just got into the SUV. “You really this mad about this?” she asked while still standing outside the SUV. “Yes.” “Fine well I’m not done shopping.” “Well, I am.” “Fine leave then I’ll take a taxi back.” “Don’t be silly Rachel I’ll send a car for you and Marco.” “Me silly who is leaving me in the middle of the street because he is upset about our children’s names.” I closed the door and Luca pulled away. “Fuck”
