Just get over here.” “We’ll be there in an hour or so.” “See you then” Do I really need to tell my parents would it be better to do it over the phone or should we go to them, but if they see Rachel they’ll be more freaked out. I decided to get it over with and phone them. The phone rang for a while before my dad answered. “Hi dad you guys busy?” “Hi Massimo, no not really. Why?” “Is it possible to put mom on the phone as well?” “Know you just scaring me” “Please dad.” “Okay wait let me just get her.” I heard him calling mom then she was also on the phone. “What’s wrong Massimo?” Moms worried voice came over the phone. “I wanted to let you guys know Rachel was kidnapped the 2nd.” “Oh my God, does the authorities know?” mom said “No mom I knew who took her and we went to get her back last night she’s a bit bruised but otherwise she’ll be okay.” I didn’t want to tell people she was raped that was too private. “Thank God” mom said, “Why are you only telling us know Massimo it’s 4 days later.” “I wanted to get her back first dad all my attention was on how to get her back.” “No worries, as long as you got her back. We’ll come around tomorrow late afternoon.” Mom said “Okay mom” “I need to run Massimo, please look after her.” Mom said “I will.” Then I was alone on the phone with dad. “You needed to tell us as soon as it happened Massimo what if you got killed then your mother and I wouldn’t have known why or where. I told you I respect your decision in the work you do, but you needed to tell us. She’s part of our family now and we had the right to know.” “I’m sorry dad.” “We’ll see you tomorrow.” Then he put the phone down. He was royally pissed at me. That was clear as day.

As soon as Dani saw me she came running towards me “I’m so glad your back.” “Thank you, Dani, me to. Come in you guys” I walked to Damon and gave him a hug “Thank you Damon, thank you for coming for me.” “We will always Rachel.” We all went to the lounge Massimo went to the kitchen and got us some plates. “Damon first of all I want to say sorry for my behaviour the day I was taken, if I didn’t act the way I did and listened to you two nothing would have happened but I was too stubborn and lived with my head in the sand. There are no words to say thank you to both of you.” “It’s a pleasure Rachel but I think that day, they were organised they would have found a way to get to you or Dani anyway they could, so please don’t be too hard on yourself. ” Damon said. “I’ll try Damon.” “Let’s eat” Massimo said. We ate some pizza and had some normal discussions.
