I was so happy the doctor said everything looked good with the babies, I was worried my high blood pressure would affect them and that was the last thing I wanted. I was still wiping away that terrible gel the doctor put on my stomach to look at the babies when Massimo walked into the room. Announcing he had a surprise for me. I couldn’t think what it could be. He was very excited about it. He put his hand over my eyes and lead me through the house, I knew we were walking in the direction of our offices and other guest bedrooms. We entered a room and Massimo took away his hand screaming “Surprise!” I looked around and saw his stylist standing next to 2 rails of clothing it looked like maternity wear. “How?” was all I could say. Yes, I would rather have gone to the shops myself but I do know I can’t do that at this stage so this was second best. “I contacted my stylist told her to bring you as many choices as she could get in different sizes and here, she is.” “Oh, wow thank you Massimo.” “I’m sorry sweetheart this is the best I can do for now.” “This is more than I expected Massimo.” “Well then I’m leaving your ladies to it.” Massimo said before he walked out of the room. I walked over to the stylist and introduce myself “I’m Rachel, I know you brought me cloths before but we never met.” “Hi Rachel, I’m Fiona.” “Nice to meet you Fiona, now what do you have here?” I asked her. I started with a few pants outfits, that would be great for spring as well as a few dresses. I liked everything she brought and luckily for me there was my size in everything. I choice a few outfits, she wanted me to take everything but I thought it was a waste and I still wanted to go to the shops and shop for myself as well. I choice a nice red dress, another red dress with flowers on and 1 jean and t-shirts that was made for this big belly and to linen pants suits for the more formal look. I was quite impressed with my selection. “Call me if you need anything else Rachel.” Viona said as she walked out with the cloths that was left over. “I will thank you so much for coming I thought I was going to live in these leggings and oversize jersey for the foreseeable future.” “Anytime, here is my card just give me a call and I can get you what ever else you are looking for.” “I just may Fiona.” I walked her out then went looking for Massimo. I knock on his door and peek into his office. “Bella come in; you finish already?” “Yes, thank you again Massimo, it was a nice surprise now I can wear something else besides these leggings and oversize jersey.” “Sorry Bella I should have noticed.” “No Massimo it’s not your fault?” “Bella, can I ask you something?” “Yes, off course.” “Why did you pull your face when I talked about the clothes we bought in Venice?” Do I tell him the truth or make something up? I thought to myself then decided we said we will always be honest with each other so I went with honesty. “It feels like that cloths are cursed Massimo. I know it’s silly but that’s how I feel.” “I do understand Bella but you do know it’s not true right?” “Yes, I do but that trip just put a bad taste in my mouth Massimo.” “Okay Bella I don’t want to force you to wear anything that you are not comfortable with.” “Thank you for understanding Massimo.” I gave him a kiss and went to my office to make the appointment with the therapist, hopefully she could help me virtually.

To tell the truth I didn’t really understand. How can cloths be cursed? But I’ll give it to her, her experienced in Italy wasn’t the greatest maybe it’s her way of forgetting about the trip. Who knows. I phoned Damon next “Massimo” “Damon” “How was your meeting last night?” “Let’s put it this way I didn’t lose the Russians as clients and I send Costa a message.” “Oh, is that why they are scrambling inside the house. What did you do?” “There were 2 cars following me so when the deal was finished, we told the other cars to bring them straight to us and we killed them then burned them. I send Costa a message then he sends me one back threatening to kill me.” “He needs to get out of his house first before he can do that Massimo.” “Absolutely. So, what is going on there.” “Costa wants to take you on but everyone is talking him of the ledge they telling him to think about the big picture. It would appear he is very near in calling Romana.” “Tell me as soon as that call is made Damon, I’m starting to worry about Romana as well now.” “I’m sure you don’t have to Massimo.” “I didn’t think I needed to worry about Costa as well Damon and look what happened there.” “Yes, you just don’t know right.” “Exactly. I heard you had an issue at my club last night.” “Just a brief one it was sorted very quickly. I’m sorry about that Massimo.” “Don’t worry about it no one got hurt.” “I know but that asshole had me grinding my teeth the whole evening. But that is the down size of doing business with these types of guys.” “That it is Damon. I need to go let me know if you hear anything else.” “Will do Massimo. Cheers.” I was busy with my e-mails when Luca came into my office “Boss Bernardi is downstairs, he wants to talk to you.” “What the fuck, how did Damon’s men not see him leave?” “I’ll phone Ghost and ask him boss, but what are we going to do with Bernardi?” “I’m not letting him in or near Bella. I’ll go downstairs.” “You sure boss?” “Yes, the doorman has a weapon and you are coming with so I’m sure between us he is outnumbered.” “But we don’t know what he wants boss.” “Then let’s go find out.” I found Bella in her office and told her there was a delivery downstairs I needed to sign for personally. It was the second lie of the day but I just wanted to keep her safe. She looked at me a bit suspiciously but didn’t say anything. Luca and I went downstairs to the foyer of the building, when we got out of the lift Bernardi was standing in front of the doors. He didn’t give any of us a second to say anything he pointed the gun and took his shot straight at me.
