Rachel
I woke up to an empty couch, wondering were Massimo went. I just laid there thinking about how Massimo rush to me when I needed him most and how he left his work and everything getting to me. He really is showing me with his actions how much I mean to him. There are no lies coming out of his mouth like I’m used to. ‘I’ll always be there for you Rachel’, but my ex never was.
Massimo is so different and today just clarified it for me I’m falling in love with Massimo and when he called me sweetheart I almost melted.
I didn't have to wonder long were Massimo was as I heard Massimo talking to someone and then he started to scream at the person, I got up and went looking for him, just to make sure he’s okay. I stood outside his office door and was contemplating with myself should I go in or not. I decided to walk in without knocking. That was possible a mistake. When I walked in, Massimo threw his cellphone against the wall, the cellphone didn’t even brake just fell on the ground still intact.
“What did that phone do to you?” I asked him “Sweetheart, sorry did I wake you?” He opened his arms to me and I walked right into them, feeling him and smelling him has such a calming effect on me. “I like it when you call me sweetheart.” I admitted. “Then sweetheart you will be.”
“What’s wrong Massimo, why did you throw your phone.” “Sorry sweetheart business, the Matteo family is double crossing me and I just lost it. I promise it will never happen with you.” “Don’t worry Massimo I know you won’t hurt me.” It shocked me to know the words I just spoke was the truth, I knew he will never hurt me.
“Did you have a good nap? Are you feeling calmer now? “I had a very good nap and when I’m in your arms or just smelling you, it calms me.” “That makes me very happy sweetheart.” What are you going to do about the Matteo’s?” “I’m having a meeting with Lorenzo Snr on Thursday, then I’ll try to sort this shit out.” he said very irritated. Okay that's a sore subject.
“Now enough of business, what do you want to do tonight?” “Promise you won’t say no?” “Sweetheart you know I can’t say no to you.” “You might this time.” “Bella just tell me.” He said getting a little irritated. “I want to walk past the alley way again, with you to show myself I can do it and there is nothing to be afraid of.” “Ooooo sweetheart, you really don’t have to do that, we can wait a week or two.” “No Massimo I need to do it; I need to face my demons. I can’t avoid it for the rest of my life.” “Your wish is my command, let me just put my running clothes on then we can go for a run if you want?” “That sounds like a great idea, just don’t run away for me.” “I’ll never run away from you sweetheart.” Then he kissed me on the forehead. We went to the closet and change our clothing.
Massimo
I’m so proud of My Bella for wanting to face her demons. I might think it’s too soon but it’s not for me to say what she can and can’t face. I would love to protect her always but we all know it’s not possible. If this is what she needs it’s what I’ll give her. I called Luca and Marco and told them of the plan and that they should be out of site. I know Bella needs it to be just me and her but with everything that is going on with the Ricci’s and the Matteo’s I can’t afford to be without protection. Don’t get me wrong I can defend myself but I won’t take risks with Bella’s life.
And how sweet was it that she admitted that she liked me calling her sweetheart. I just wanted to pull her to me and never let go when she said that. She’s finding her voice and I can’t be prouder.
We got to the lift when I asked “Are you sure about this sweetheart?” “No, but I have to do it.” “Okay let’s go.” We started to run in the direction of the alley when we got closer Bella started to run slower. I stopped and took her hand. “Sweetheart look at me.” She didn’t she just looked at the alley. “Bella! Look at me.” That got her attention. “There is nothing to be afraid of I’m here with you. Do you feel my hand.” She just nodded. “No Bella use your words. Now do you feel my hands?” “Yes Massimo” she said on the brink of tears. “Bella we can go home and try another time” I tried convincing her, my heart was breqking for her. “No Massimo I’m doing it now. Can we walk closer to the spot you found me.” I looked over my shoulder and just nodded to Luca and Marco to get a bit closer. I didn’t know what will happen if I take her that far. “If you sure Bella.” “Yes” I walked her to the alley and she started to hyperventilate. “Bella, Bella! Listen to my voice, you are safe, I’m with you, just breath please.” We walked a bit further and she got hold of her breathing. When I stopped, I told her this is where we found you. When I looked over my shoulder Marco and Luca was standing at the opening of the alley to prevent anyone from coming in.
Bella was just standing there looking at the ground, crying. Then after 5min she threw herself in my arms catching me by surprise. “Thank you so much for looking for me Massimo, or I would have died here and no one would have known.” “I’ll always look for you Bella. I’ll always protect you.” She sniffed and asked me “Can we not go for a run anymore and just get pizza” she asked me very shy. “I think I’m good now, there is nothing here to be afraid of and like you said he can’t hurt me anymore.” I was so proud of her she faced her fears head on.
“Off course we can get a pizza, you want to go to mamma Rosa?” I asked her. “I love your mom but can we get take-aways and just sit on the patio taking in the sunset with a glass of wine?” “That sounds like heaven sweetheart I’ll get Luca to go fetch the pizza.” I phoned my mom ordered the pizza and got Luca to go and fetch it.
We walked back to the apartment, “You sure you okay sweetheart.” “No Massimo but I will get there at least I know you will always look for me and I won’t die in a ditch or alley way.”
“I promise Bella I’ll always look for you, I’ll always protect you to the best of my abilities. Always”
