Chapter 344
Massimo’s Epilogue
3 Years later
It was midnight and I was sitting in one of the rocking chairs with Mia Rose in my lap she wasn’t feeling very well so sleep wasn’t her friend. She had a fever and almost cried the whole night. I was just holding her and talking to her, reading her, her favorite story Cinderella. Bella had a rough day with her and her brother so I took over when I got home. When Mia Rose fell asleep and I could stop reading I thought back at the past 3 years and the day they where born and what happened afterwards.
I was almost arrested with the Fedorov story the day after the twins were born. What a nightmare that was. First Frank told me to get a lawyer and meet him at the police station and make a deal with them but then Frank came up with a new ideal and told the NYPD I was his informer but it cost me my illegal firearm business and I had to give intelligence on Fedorov and Kozlov to the FBI. So, at the end of the day Fedorov and Kozlov was right I was a snitch. But anything to save my own skin and stay out of jail. To this day I haven’t told Bella how close I was to doing jail time I’m sure she doesn’t have to know this at all, she never needs to know. That was the only secret there was between Bella and me the Russian Firearm scandal as the papers call it.
The twins are turning 3 tomorrow and what wonderful 3 years this has been with them. When I ended my illegal Firearm business and the drug business I gave up before they where born I was now almost and I emphasize the word almost a legitimate business man. I have a few office buildings I bought, a few apartment buildings and then I bought more clubs as well. And that is where I made most of my money or the money on the books. I’m away from anything that is going to land me in jail or going to bring violence to my family. In the time Bella and I have been together there was more than enough violence and I promised her there will be no violence around the children. My family is the most important thing in my life. Mom and Dad love their grand babies and Mia Rose and Alessio love their grandparents. I flew Rachel’s parents down to meet there grandchildren as well. I could see there was a strain on Bella and her family’s relationship, she was a totally different person when they were here more nervous more irritated and she cried every night she got into bed. But as soon as they left, she was herself again. I decided I won’t bring them down here again not when it’s putting so much stress on her and making her so emotional I will do anything in my power to keep her happy and it was clear they didn’t make her happy not any more. Our sex life has just gotten better by the day that was something I could never complain about Bella kept her promise we always make time for each other always we even make special plans for play nights.
The twins are getting big and have their own personalities, Alessio was more like his mother soft and considerate although he looks like me but Mia Rose was me through and through her temper her attitude it was me. All my men are still with me their duties look a bit different these days Davide and Aldo had an instant connection with Mia Rose and Alessio that just made them their bodyguards but they didn’t mind at all they love taking them to play on the grounds. Yes, I’m mostly out of the dangerous business but I did make a lot of enemies over the years and you never know when one of them come looking for revenge.
Damon and Danielle are still together but there are no babies yet. Which means no friends for the twins so far but at least they are talking about it these days. I on the other hand was afraid to get Bella pregnant again after what happened when the twins where born I was so afraid but she convinced me and she is 30 weeks pregnant at the moment at least only one this time. Mia Rose and Alessio are very excited to meet their new brother. Yes, it’s a boy and Bella has all the say to name him I decided I’m not getting in a fight about that again. I’ve named my firstborn and that was enough. Frank is also still in the picture giving me information I need and if I have something I give him information but mostly I’m out of that business who would have thought tough Massimo Marchetti, Mafia Boss Marchetti will give everything up just for a family. And that is what I did I withdrew from the Mafia families. Romana and Edcardo are on their own now but I do know they ask Damon for help every know and then I’m glad they can still trust each other. I’m out but I still get information from all over the world. So, I’m still an assist for them although I’m not active.
I’m a new man I remade myself I’m a father, husband and legal business man. Massimo Marchetti. To say my father is happy is an understatement he never wanted me involved in the Mafia but that was my dream since I was a child funny how dreams can change as you grow older. Funny how a girl that ran away from an abusive husband on another continent bumped into me on the streets of New York changed my life in such a big way. I will always be grateful for that wonderful day the day Rachel changed my life for the better.
