Rachel
I woke up in a very dark room, quite confused to where I was, I turned around and saw Massimo sleeping like a baby next to me. I reached for my phone and saw it was 5am. I needed the bathroom urgently. I walked to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror, I can’t remember changing into one of Massimo’s T-shirts, was I so out of it. Suddenly everything came back to me our conversation about kids, my relationship with my ex and off course the cocktails. I must have passed out and Massimo took care of me, just another reason to love him. ‘Love him? Rachel, I think you should sleep some more, I told myself love is way too soon. I finished in the bathroom and got back into bed behind Massimo’s back, it didn’t take me long to fall asleep again.
I woke to the smell of coffee with a very sexy Massimo sitting next to me, his hair still wet from his shower. “Morning sleepy head” “Morning Massimo, what time is it?” it’s past 10 and I have a surprise for you, she’s arriving at 12pm. So, I thought I’ll come and wake you with some pain killers and a latte.” “How did you know I had a headache.” “An educated guess Bella, you were out as soon as we got in the car and you didn’t even stir when I undressed you.” “I’m sorry Massimo I’m a lightweight when it comes to alcohol.” “Nothing to be sorry for Bella I was there to take care of you and I enjoy taking care of you.” “Thank you, Massimo, for last night, the painkillers and the latte, lattes are my favourite especially Hazelnut latte’s.” “I’ll make a note of that for the housekeeper, for when she goes grocery shopping.” “That’s not necessary.” “If it’s your favourite then it is necessary. Now you should get up your surprise will be here at 12 and I’m sure you want to shower and eat first.” “What’s my surprise?” “It won’t be a surprise if I tell you would it. Now get up and get ready, dress comfortable.” He leaned forward and kissed me on the forehead. I took a sip of my latte as he was leaving the room. I wondered what the surprise could be, but I’ll just have to wait and see apparently. I went to the bathroom and took a much-needed shower and getting all the make-up from last night off my face. The colour of the bruises where changing, that’s a good sign. I got out dried my hair and applied my make-up and dressed in a loose-fitting dress, then I went looking for Massimo. He was on the veranda at the swimming pool waiting for me. “Bella, you look beautiful.” “Thank you, Massimo,” “Come sit down we have some greasy food for that hangover of yours.” I lifted the dome of my plate and there was sausage, beacon, eggs and toast, my mouth watered. While we ate, we spoke about how nice the weather was, I asked him what time we will be leaving paradise and he insured me we would come back. “Will there be time to have a swim in the ocean again before we leave?” “If you still want to go after your surprise we can go. Talking about your surprise it seems that they are here.” “What are you going to do while I’m busy with my surprise.” “I’m going to catch up on some work. Come let me take you to them.” We walked into a room with the most beautiful view of the ocean with the wind blowing the curtains as we walked in. There were two women and a massage bed a table with a suitcase full of different colours of nail polish. I looked at Massimo “Surprise! your own spa day right at home.” “Ooooo Massimo this is amazing.” “Anything for you Bella, I’m going to leave you in these ladies’ capable hands, for the record my favourite colour is red.” He winked at me and walked out the room.
“Hi Rachel my name is Sally I’ll be your masseuse today and this is Purple she will do your nails.” “Hi Rachel, Purple.” “You can take your dress of and put the towel around you.” Sally said. I was not comfortable doing it in front of them, I was scared they’ll see the marks and think Massimo did it and I didn’t want his name been dragged through the mud. “I’ll just me a minute”, I went into the bathroom and took my dress of and put the towel around me, you couldn’t see the marks in front just 2 small blue, yellow marks on my back but that could be explained away.
I went to lie on the bed and she took the towel of me but she can’t see anything as I was lying on my stomach. She started to massage me and I was in heaven, I had so many knots she had her work cut out for her. She worked every knot until she was happy and moved on to the next. I felt so relax I fell asleep. I woke up maybe an hour later when Sally said she was done and it’s Purple’s turn. Purple asked me witch colour for my nails and I thought of what Massimo said, “The reddest red you have” I smiled at her. She did my nails with acrylic and assured me it will last longer and she will give me a salons name in Manhattan to go to when it’s time. She did my toe nails as well and when they were done, I totally got what Massimo said about swimming in the ocean if I still feel like it. After all that pampering all I wanted to do is get a charcuterie board and a mimosa and read a book next to the swimming pool. I was so relaxed I can’t remember when last I was this relaxed, maybe never in my whole life. I thanked them and then Francesca escorted them out. I went looking for Massimo.
I found Massimo in his study very busy on his laptop. He must have heard me because he looked up “Bella you look so beautiful and relaxed?” “I feel relaxed Massimo I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way before, thank you so much for arranging that. It was a very nice surprise” “Then I’m very happy you enjoyed it. May I ask what colour you made your nails? “I wiggled my nails at him, “Your favourite colour” I smiled at him. “Beautiful” he pulled me to him and crushed his lips to mine and I opened to him eagerly to taste him. Every time he kisses me, I need to change my panties. He broke free and asked “Do you still want to go to the beach?” out of breath I answered him “I really want to lie next to the swimming pool, drink a mimosa and have a charcuterie board and reading a book. That massage has me very lazy.” “Then that is what you’ll do, I’ll join you when I’m done here if it’s okay with you?” “Off course Massimo, I’ll be next to the pool with only one mimosa.” I told him with a smile “Go ask Francesca to make us a charcuterie board so long.” I went to the kitchen and found Francesca there. “Francesca can you perhaps make us a charcuterie board and a Mimosa please.” “Off course Rachel, I’ll bring it to you.” “Thank you Francesca I’ll be next to the pool.” I went to the room and put my one piece on and went to the pool with my book. I was lying next to the pool when Massimo came to me and gave me a quick kiss and then sat next to me.
“Bella I’m so sorry but we’ll have to leave earlier there is a problem in New York and I need to sort it out asap.”
