Bella and I walked to the dining room and took a seat at the window, she loved the view of Mount Etna. “I know you love the view of the mountains angel but it seems like more than just loving this view.” I asked her while we waited for our food. “It reminds me of Cape Town and all the mountains there Massimo.” “Do you want to go back for a visit Bella you know we can arrange that then you can show me your country.” “Maybe someday Massimo but I’m not ready to go back yet.” “Even if your ex is not there anymore?” “No Massimo I’m not ready.” “Whenever you ready sweetheart no pressure maybe someday we can go show our children.” “Yes maybe.” Our food arrived I ordered an orange juice for Bella because she seems to like the Blood Oranges we have in Sicily and a beer for me and to eat Pane Cunzatu I knew we were having a big Dinner tonight so I decided on something light for lunch. When it arrived Bella asked “What’s on this sandwich it smells delicious?” “You should taste in Bella.” She took a bite and moaned. “Wow this is delicious. What is it?” “They take a large loaf of bread, cut it in half, with the base layer seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano. A generous serving of cheese, tomatoes and anchovy fillets is added and finished with a top layer of the bread. Then they place it in the oven and it’s ready once the ingredients have melted together.” “I never thought I’ll eat anchovy but this is really delicious.” “I’m glad you enjoying it Bella it’s a real Sicilian dish.” “I haven’t eaten anything I haven’t liked yet Massimo or maybe wait I did the first night but maybe it was the company and not the food.” “I think it was the company, Bella.” “What do you want to do after lunch?” “I’m exhausted it takes a lot to be pampered a whole morning Massimo.” We both laughed. “Well then let’s go take a nap.” “What? You actually going to come with me and take a nap with me?” “Yes, sweetheart is it so hard to believe? I’m actually also tired after last night and I made plans for tonight so an afternoon nap doesn’t sound too bad.” We finished our lunch and walked to our room. “Where’s Marco and Luca?” “I’m assuming in their rooms. Why do you ask?” “Because they are always with us.” “I gave them time of to relax Bella there are people around the Hotel we don’t have to worry at all.” “Do I want to know who these people are?” “It’s the head of the Sicilian Mafia’s men sweetheart. Take a nice nap and go out for dinner tonight with no worries in the world.” “Fine if that is what you saying I’ll believe you.” “Good” When we entered the room Bella walked to change her clothing. I wanted to get her comfortable for tonight so I asked her. “Will you sleep naked next to me Bella? I’ll keep you warm I promise.” “Okay” she said a bit scared. “It just you and me Bella nothing to be afraid of.” “I know.” She got naked and jumped into bed. They trying to make a move on you before Thursday boss.” “What’s the plan?” “He said they dealing with it but if he was you, he would stay away from windows they might have a sharp shooter some where they didn’t find him yet but Little Nick is not putting anything past them.” “Thank you, Enzo. Bella and I have a private dining experience tonight in the dining room and then we coming back to the room. I will stay away from the windows for now.” “Good boss the rest of us will also be on patrol but closer to the Hotel.” I disconnected the phone when Bella walked into the bathroom. “The bed is cold without you.” “I was just speaking to Enzo.” “Anything wrong? You look worried.” “Let’s go back to the room then I’ll tell you.” “This is going to spoil my relaxing day, isn’t it?” “Maybe?”
