Marco came knocking on the office door. I didn’t even realize how long I’ve been in the office. “Boss the doctor is here.” “Thank you, Marco.” I went to the living room and greeted the doctor. “She’s still sleeping doctor.” “That’s no problem will you wake her so long then if I may ask one of your men to help me with the sonar machine, I just wanted to be prepared for anything.” “No problem doctor, Marco please help the doctor.” “Okay boss.” I went upstairs “Bella, Bella” I tried to wake her “MMMMMM” “Bella wake up I have a doctor here.” That made her sit up straight. “Massimo, I told you I’m fine just tired.” “Just please let the doctor look at you sweetheart it would make me feel much better and he has a sonar machine here we can see the babies.” That made her smile a bit. “Fine.” She sits up and the doctor came in with Marco behind him with the machine. “Hi my name is Ricardo.” “Hi doctor, Rachel.” “Call me Ricardo.” “Okay, thank you for coming Ricardo but it was really not necessary I’m just tired to say we had an eventful week is an understatement.” “Let’s just make sure shall we, then everyone is happy.” “Okay.” The doctor checked for fever, looked into her ears, listen to her heart, took her oxygen levels in her blood took her blood pressure. “This is a bit high; it can be a cause of your tiredness but not this extreme.” “Where you under any stress the past few days.” Bella started laughing the doctor just look at her confused. Bella couldn’t stop laughing. I decided to answer. “Well Ricardo, I was shot right in front of her and I had a few meetings that didn’t go so good and she was chased by a cartel member, so I think the reason she is laughing so much is because she doesn’t know how to answer you but I would say extreme stress.” “Oh, my dear, that’s not good. And if I might ask are things settled for know will Rachel be able to have a few normal days?” “I hope so.” Was all I could say, I wasn’t going to lie to the doctor or to Rachel.” “Hope so is probable the best answer I’m going to get.” “Rachel, can we have a look at the babies.” Rachel eventually stopped laughing and was excited to see the babies. “This is going to be cold.” He put some gel on Bella’s tummy then he used the magic wand to look for the babies. “There is the one and here is the other one.” He motioned to the screen. “Are they still healthy in there Ricardo?” Bella asked. “Yes Rachel, but I’m worried about their mommy if you don’t look after yourself you putting yourself and them in danger.” “I know Ricardo but there were a few things out of my control.” “I do understand that but you and Massimo need to get some rest in.” “I was planning on going to Rome tomorrow, Doc.” “That would be nice enjoy the sightseeing but take it easy, I know if you haven’t been in a country before you want to get as many sights in on one day but Rachel, you can’t take it easy, try and get an afternoon nap in and then take it from there.” “I’ll see to it doc, I promise.” “Good and then I would suggest as soon as you get home to go see your OBGYN and try and get that blood pressure under control.” “I will try Ricardo, thank you for coming.” Marco came back into the room and helped the doctor out with the machine and I walked out with the doctor. “Thank you for coming doctor I really appreciate it.” “My pleasure Massimo, but please try and keep that blood pressure down.” “We’ll try our best doc.”
