We got in the SUV as Luca pulled up to the doctors office. “We’re to boss” he asked Massimo. “We’re going shopping Luca 5th Ave please.” I was deep in thought when Massimo asked “You okay sweetheart?” “Yes Massimo I’m actually hopeful, it’s a good feeling.” “I’m so glad sweetheart, you’ll see everything is going to be perfect.” Luca stopped in front of the Armani store. “Massimo no, you can’t buy me such expensive clothes.” I said in shock. Massimo turned to me and said “I can and I will, you promise me I can buy you clothing and you’ll try, so today all I want from you is to choose what you like and to not look at the prices. Please promise me you will?” “Okay Massimo, I’ll close my eyes and not look at the prices.” We walk into the Armani store and everyone greeted Massimo as if he was family. “Morning Mr Marchetti how can we help you today?” “Morning Andrew, today is not for me, today we are spoiling this wonderful women, Rachel.” He motioned to me. “Morning Rachel, how can we assist you?” Before I can answer Massimo already answered. “We want dresses, pants suits jeans what ever the lady likes.” Andrew looked me up and down, “You’re a size 10 right?” “You’ve got a good eye Andrew” I said “That’s my job” he smiled at me. “Okay lets get you to the dressing room and we will bring you clothes to try on, Mr Marchetti there is a seat for you to, can we bring you some champagne?” “Yes why not, I feel like celebrating.” I just shook my head at Massimo. When we got to the dressing room I told him “You are in a good mood?” “Why wouldn’t I be, I can spoil you and we got good news from the doctor.” “Massimo you counting your chickens.” I told him “Sweetheart don’t be a downer everything’s going to be great, now take a sip of your champagne and enjoy your day.”
From there on I was given dresses, pants and blouses to try on and with every outfit I had to show Massimo, I felt like a model walking up and down with the clothes, I must say I’ve never felt softer clothing in my life, Massimo bought me a few dresses, mostly in blue because he said it goes with my eyes and pants suits that is perfect for work. I didn’t even try to look at the prices. It took a lot from me not to look. When we were done Andrew thanked us and we were of to the next store, we walked past Banana Republic when I told Massimo I wanted to go in, he said it’s not the kind of store he had in mind. “Come on Massimo, you know the dress you liked so much I bought for dinner, I bought it here.” “Fine Sweetheart if you really want to, this is your day.” We walked into Banana republic and I immediately saw a few dresses I liked. Massimo in the other hand looked out of place. “I got what I wanted Massimo we can pay and leave.” I told him, he was busy on his phone. “You not going to model for me?” “Not now, I’ll model them for you at home.” He had a huge smile on his face. “Why the big smile Massimo.” I asked “You called the penthouse home, that makes me very happy.” I went to him and hugged him. “I’m getting use to it being my home.” I told him
Next we stop at Gucci and we had the same treatment as at Armani, I was going to be drunk after this shopping trip. Again they brought me clothes to fit and to model for Massimo, we left the Gucci store with a few bags, poor Marco and Luca had to carry all the bags and went to put them in the car when they didn’t have enough hands to carry all the bags. I told Massimo that it was enough but he didn’t want to hear about it. “You still need some shoes Bella” and for that we went to Louis Vuitton. I only saw all these brands in high end magazines and on TV now I’m actually buying shoes in the store. I couldn’t believe it. When we got to 4 pairs of shoes I told Massimo it’s more than enough. He wanted to argue with me but was side track by a handbag he liked. It was a very pretty handbag I must say. “Okay I’ll make a deal with you, just 4 pairs of shoes but we get this handbag as well.” “Deal Massimo.” Massimo paid for the shoes and handbag and I felt like I was done with shopping. But then we walked passed a Victoria Secret store. “Come on Bella indulge me a bit.” He looked at me with puppy eyes I haven’t seen on him before. “How can I say no to that face. I laughed Needles to say we walked out of the store with maybe 1 of each item or that was how it felt. At least I didn’t had to fit everything and model it for Massimo because I’m sure the manager would have band us from the store. Massimo wouldn’t have kept his hands of me. I was floating on air as we walked out of the store.
We walked past Cartier when Massimo pulled me to the door. I looked at him confused. “Why are we going in here Massimo, we’re buying clothing not jewellery.” I said a bit irritated. “I want to buy you a watch and maybe earrings.” I stopped outside the door. “No Massimo, no jewellery. Just no.” “Why Bella? Why can’t I buy you jewellery.” “Because I said so” I started to walk faster away from him. “Bella! Bella! Wait!” I just kept on walking “Rachel STOP.” He shouted at me. “What’s going on?” By now I was crying. He turned me around and saw my tears. “Sweetheart what’s wrong? I just shook my head at him as I was still crying. “Come lets find a restaurant and eat something then we can talk.” I nodded at him. He took me by the hand and lead me to an Italian restaurant, he ordered water and a cocktail for me and some food I didn’t even hear what he was ordering. I heard in the distance the word Bella, Bella but didn’t register he was talking to me. “Rachel” he said a bit louder. I snapped up and looked at him. “Tell me what’s wrong.” Massimo insisted. Another tear slipped out of my eye he leaned forward and wiped the tear. “Please sweetheart what’s wrong?” I looked at him and he looked so concerned. “It’s stupid Massimo I over reacted.” I tried to get out of telling him. “If it was so stupid you wouldn’t be this upset, so please tell me what’s wrong?” “Okay Massimo, I’ll tell you can we wait for my cocktail first?” “Yes Bella we can wait.” My cocktail arrived and I took a huge sip with Massimo still looking at me over his glass of red wine. When I was almost have way with the cocktail, Massimo put his hand on mine and took the cocktail from me. “We still have some shopping to do sweetheart you can’t down the whole cocktail.” He gave me a half smile.
“What did I do wrong sweetheart?” he asked me “Nothing Massimo, really nothing.” “Then why are you so upset?” “My ex always bought me jewellery after he assaulted me, I have a bad relationship when it comes to jewellery. I connect it to something bad. When I moved here I sold everything he bought me and it was enough that I have savings now, so that is a lot of jewellery Massimo. I’m sorry I freaked out Massimo, really sorry.” “I understand sweetheart, but I wanted to buy you jewellery because I wanted to and because I’ve fallen in love with you.” I looked at Massimo totally in shocked. He has fallen in love with me I thought it was only me.
I got of the chair and went to him I was sitting on his lap now in the middle of a restaurant and I didn’t even care. “You’ve fallen in love with me” I asked him “This was not how I planned on telling you sweetheart, but yes I’ve fallen in love with you.” He gave me a panty melting kiss in the middle of the restaurant. “I’m in love with you to Massimo, I’ve never felt this intense love for anyone else in my life.” “You are?” Massimo said. “Yes Massimo I am.”
