We arrived at Rossa and Salvadore’s home just after 1 pm, Dani and Damon were already there. We greeted everyone and we were all escorted to sit at the tree. Apparently Rossa had a few traditions of her own. She brought out a Christmas wreath, with traditional Italian deli meat, fresh mini mozzarella balls, olives and basil. “It looks too beautiful to eat Rossa.” “Thank you, child, but please dig in while we get your presents.” Everyone had put their gifts under the tree and Salvadore were playing Father Christmas, giving everyone their presents. We all where like kids, ripping the paper open to get to the gift. I looked at Massimo “Why didn’t you open your gift like that last night?” “I wanted to cherish it” he said. I couldn’t say anything about that because it was sweet. Rossa opened her gift from me and look at me then at Massimo. “You serious?” she asked. Everyone was looking at her confused. I forgot to tell Massimo I gave his mother the same as for him. I whispered it in his ear. “Yes mamma” “Oh my God you two, congratulations.” “Can we also be part of the secret?” Damon asked. “It’s not a secret anymore Damon, we’re expecting twins.” Massimo told everyone. Everyone erupted in congratulations and hugged us. I thought by myself, ‘Our kids will definitely be between people who loves them.’ Salvadore opened his Grandad mug and was very proud of it. It surprises me that something so small, can make someone so happy. Dani was impressed with her stationary and thank me more than once. Everyone was very happy with all their gifts. We went to the dining room where Rossa and Salvadore brought all the food out. There was more food than any of us could eat. From Lasagne to baked chicken, veal, sausages and beef. I look at Massimo and whispered “Who’s going to eat all this food Massimo?” “Don’t worry Bella mom always go overboard, we’ll all get takeaways we’ll eat Christmas food while we’re in the Hamptons.” We both laughed. “Did I hear you going to the Hamptons Massimo?” Damon asked “Yes, I promise Bella I’m taking time off and we’re spending New Years in the Hamptons. You are all welcome to come through for New Years. Massimo said. “Your dad and I won’t be able to come Massimo.” “No problem mom the invitation is open.” “Maybe we’ll take you up on the offer.” Damon said. “That would be great.” I squeezed Dani’s hand. After the main meal, Rossa brought out Panna Cotta and some Tiramisu. “Goodness Rossa, you’ve outdone yourself.” “It is Christmas dear.” Rossa said. “Mom before we eat dessert can Damon and I use dad’s office quickly?” “Massimo no work on Christmas day.” “It will be quick, I promise.” “Fine Massimo” Rossa said but she wasn’t happy.

“What’s wrong Massimo?” Damon asked as soon as we entered my dads office. “I thought I’m giving you a heads up, Frank phoned and said they couldn’t get something concrete om the Ricci’s, the Feds withdraw. The Ricci’s is not under surveillance anymore.” “Thank you Massimo, but it didn’t stop them from scarring Dani. A few nights ago we went to your parents restaurant, when Paul came in and warned us about suspicious vehicles in front of the restaurant. We went out the back, as soon as we where in the vehicle another vehicle stopped behind us and infront of us obviously it wasn’t my men. They got to the window before Ghost could drive away we where blocked in. Liam and Paul apprehended them and took them to my basement, they interrogated them and it came out they where guys from the street paid to scare ‘the women’ that was with me. Now Dani thinks the changing of her name and appearance was for nothing.” “Fuck Damon now they know Danielle/Dani’s with you.” “They think they know it’s her, no one could have told them. That’s why I think it’s a good idea to come and join you two in The Hamptons. For her to relax, be safe and able to go out the house without being afraid.” “Off course Damon, we’re leaving tomorrow already. “Let ‘s get back to the table before my mom comes and drag us out of here by the ears.” Damon and I both laughed because she would do that. I gave her a kiss “Yes sweetheart we where talking about Damon and Dani coming to the Hamptons, they’ll come through the 31st, if that’s okay with you and Dani?” “Off course it is.” Bella said “And you angel?” Damon asked her “I’m good with that, I’ve never been.” “Your in for a treat Dani, just sad that it’s winter.” Damon said “We’ll still see some amazing sunsets.”
