Running away

Justin stood by the window, observing as Larisa walked away from the house. He stared at her intently and thought, "She looks exactly like Sadie did when I first saw her many years ago." Just then, he heard the door open and turned to see Sadie entering the room.
"Taylor is fortunate that Larisa became pregnant after rejecting his attitude," he said to himself.
Sadie approached him and glanced out the window, hoping to catch another glimpse of Larisa.
"She's gone quite far," Justin said, holding Sadie's right hand as they both peered out.
" She's such a beautiful young woman, and she's been with Taylor for quite a few months," Sadie said, and the room fell silent once again.
"Do you think she'll stay with Taylor after giving birth?" Justin asked.
"I hope so, but I have my doubts. By the way, about Tessy, when you left us in the sitting room, she mentioned that she's the only one reaching out to Dylan on the phone. Has Dylan distanced himself because of her mistake?"
"Is that what you call it, a mistake?" Justin raised his voice.
"Darling, are you still opposed to Dylan forgiving her? We've discussed this before," Sadie responded.
"Yes, but it won't be easy for poor Dylan, being a young man," Justin shrugged.
"But it's been years, time does heal the heart," Sadie interrupted.
"That's true. But I thought Dylan came to see Tessy. Did they meet?"
"No.”
"Then why did Dylan come home? Did he say anything to you?" Justin asked.
"You know Dylan is very secretive. He told me he came to see us and planned to stay for a few days. Surprisingly, he left the next day after seeing Taylor. Just like when he came for our anniversary, he left the next day as well."
"I suppose what happened between him, Tessy, and Taylor still troubles him," Justin pondered.
"I hope he can move on and settle down like Taylor," Sadie widened her hands, leaving the window and sitting on the bed.
Four hours later, Justin was engrossed in watching his favorite sport, boxing, when he heard a car pull up outside the house. Simultaneously, Sadie descended the stairs. She had probably spotted the car through the upstairs window and wanted to welcome her son, Taylor. Just three steps away from reaching the ground, she asked her husband because she had just woken up from a nap.
"Has Larisa returned from the grocery store?"
"I... I don't know. Maybe she has returned and is in her room. You know she needs rest all the time because of her condition."
Sadie sighed and headed towards the door, expecting Taylor to have arrived and be close to it. She opened the door with excitement, and there was Taylor, wearing a big smile on his face. He warmly embraced his mom.
"Welcome, my dear," she said, affectionately. "How was your trip?" she asked.
"It was good, and on my way here to see you, Dad, and my beautiful girlfriend, I felt a great sense of peace. How is Larisa doing?" Taylor inquired.
"She's doing very well. Let's go inside, and I'll check on her in her room."
They both entered the house, and Taylor approached his dad, shaking hands with him. While Taylor and his dad interacted, Sadie made her way towards Larisa's room. When she reached the door, she knocked.
"Sweetheart," she smiled and waited for Larisa's response. After a few moments, she knocked again, but there was no answer. Sadie called out once more.
"Larisa... Taylor has come to take you home." She strained her ears, hoping to hear a response from inside the room, but it remained quiet. With no other choice, she grasped the doorknob and gently turned it to check if Larisa was asleep or hadn't returned yet. As she opened the door, Sadie realized that Larisa wasn't there.
"Larisa...?" She approached the bathroom area, thinking Larisa might be inside, taking a bath. Still, there was no response. Sadie returned to the living room to join Taylor and her husband.
"She hasn't come back," she informed them.
"Come back from where?" Taylor asked.
"She left and said she wanted to buy some things from a nearby grocery store," Sadie replied.
"How long has she been gone?" Taylor inquired.
"A couple of hours," Justin answered.
"A couple of hours? What is she buying?" Taylor's voice filled with panic.
"Well... we didn't even ask her," his mom admitted.
"She'll be back soon," Justin reassured Taylor, who had become engrossed in the boxing match he was watching. The living room fell silent, except for the commentary of the match and the roaring noise of the spectators.
Taylor entered the house during the third round of the boxing match. His dad's enthusiastic attitude caught Taylor's attention, and he became interested in the match. As the tension built up in the seventh round, Taylor glanced at his wristwatch and thought, "What am I doing? Why haven't I called Larisa to find out where she is?" Taylor pulled out his phone and dialed Larisa's number. It rang and rang, but there was no response. He looked around the room and returned his gaze to the phone screen, dialing her number again. The phone continued to ring until a message appeared indicating no response.
"I'm calling Larisa, and she's not answering," Taylor announced, capturing everyone's attention. Justin tore his eyes away from the TV.
"Try calling her again," Sadie suggested, and both Taylor and Sadie grew anxious as the phone rang, but Larisa didn't pick up.
"Where is my girlfriend?" Taylor stood up, his eyes fixed on his mom's gaze.
"Where is Larisa?" he asked again. Justin noticed the determination in Taylor's eyes and quickly grabbed the TV remote, muting the volume. Sadie swiftly dialed Larisa's number on her phone, and panic slowly filled the room. As the seconds ticked by, Taylor's heartbeat quickened, and his agitation grew.
"I brought my girlfriend here and entrusted her to you. Did you have an argument before she left?" Taylor questioned, his eyes locked on Justin and Sadie. They were well aware of his fiery temper, so they chose not to challenge him.
"No, we were at peace. She only mentioned wanting to buy something from the grocery store," Sadie explained as she hurried upstairs for a second check of Larisa's room, making sure she hadn't taken her other bag with clothes. She opened the wardrobe and saw that Larisa's clothes were still there. Hastily, she rushed back downstairs and said,
"Her clothes are still in the wardrobe. She'll come back."
"I can't stay here without her for another five minutes. I should go to the grocery store where you said she went. Do you know which one it is?" Taylor asked.
"How would I know?" Sadie responded.
"Then why did you let her go out alone? You know how important she is to me. This is someone who turned down my proposal and..."
"Did you force her to stay here or be with you? Is there something you're not telling us?" Justin interrupted, questioning Taylor.
"I'm not hiding anything from you, Dad. All I want is my unborn son and my girlfriend. She's all I have..." Taylor's voice trailed off, filled with worry and desperation.
"If that's the case, let's go to the grocery stores and look for her," Justin suggested. Taylor and Justin were about to leave when Sadie chimed in.
"Let me come with you," she said, hastening to join them. That late afternoon, they searched the nearby grocery stores, hoping to find Larisa there, but she was nowhere to be found. Taylor drove, muttering to himself as they moved from one store to another. Then a troubling thought crossed his mind.
"Has Larisa gone out with someone else and decided to stay at a hotel? Has she lost her mind? Will she betray me with another man?" Taylor's thoughts raced. "And why did my parents let her go out in the first place?"
"We've checked the nearby grocery stores. Why don't we report this to the police before it gets too late?" Justin interrupted Taylor's thoughts, and Taylor slowly brought the car to a stop.
"You make a good point, Dad. Let's go," Taylor agreed, redirecting the car towards the police station. They were halfway there when Sadie suggested something that had been troubling her.
"Before we go to the police, I think we should call Larisa's mum. What do you think?" she asked.
"Yes," Taylor immediately stopped the car. "You're right, Mum." He took out his phone and dialed Larisa's mum's number.
"Good evening, Mrs. Fiona," Taylor greeted.
"Good evening, Taylor. How are you doing?" Mrs. Fiona responded.
"I'm not doing well. Is Larisa at your place?" Taylor urgently asked.
"No," Mrs. Fiona replied.
"Oh my goodness! Where has she gone?" Taylor waited for a moment, and just as Larisa's mum was about to say something, he quickly interjected, "We've been looking for her for the past two hours. She left my parents' place, saying she wanted to buy something at the grocery store. From this morning until now, she's nowhere to be found. We're on our way to the police station to report it."
While Taylor was talking to Larisa's mum, he noticed that his mum was also on the call, and she mentioned Dylan's name. He abruptly ended his call and swiftly took the phone from his mum's ear, ending the call before saying, "Why do you always involve Dylan in my affairs?"
"Isn't he your twin brother? Doesn't he have the right to know and help you? Besides, he was here yesterday," Sadie reasoned.
"To do what?" Taylor was surprised, and his surprise turned into unease when Justin added, "Probably to see Tessy, because Tessy came to our house in the evening."
Mentioning Tessy's visit calmed Taylor down, but just as he was starting to settle, his phone began ringing, and it was Larisa's mum calling.
"Hello, Mrs. Fiona..." Taylor answered.
"Don't go to the police station..."
"Do you know where she is?" Taylor interrupted, eager for any information Larisa’s mum could provide.
