Has she find out?
Sadie's pov
Did I really know what I was doing yesterday? Was it influenced by alcohol or just my emotions? The party was wonderful, and the neighbors seemed concerned. I had a brief chance to dance with Justin, my crush. I can't wait for the opening of his new house. He said I would spend the night in his bedroom. That's when our emotions would come out fully. I've been suppressing my sexual desires for a long time, and I don't think sleeping with a younger man would satisfy them. I need an older man to fill the void left by the man I fell in love with at the hotel. Deep down, I know I will be very satisfied when that man at the hotel holds me to himself. But where is the man to help me out? The crazy blind date app that made me fall in love has disappeared, and I want Justin to take his place. His voice is similar or something close to him. I hope this wasn't out of infatuation.
I was lying in my bed, still thinking about the time I spent in Justin's room yesterday and how he dressed while I looked away. Suddenly, I started chuckling as I remembered what I did. I laid on his bed and asked him to lie down with me. If he hadn't thought I was under the influence of alcohol, who knows if he would have actually done it. But during his housewarming, I won't miss that opportunity he had promised me. However, he mentioned something about Daisy and her boyfriend leaving the new house, then creating an opportunity for me to sleep in his bedroom. As long as Daisy is around, it will be difficult to fulfill my sexual needs with her dad who has refused to come out to me.
Just as I was planning to ask Daisy about her boyfriend, she entered my room with something on her mind. The door pushed open, interrupting my thoughts from yesterday. I pulled myself away from the blanket, sat on the bed, and leaned against the wall.
"Hey, how was your night?" she smiled in a way that seemed mocking.
"It was fine," I replied, not wanting to dwell on why she was smiling, knowing it was related to yesterday. Instead of discussing what happened, I quickly shifted my thoughts.
"Daisy, I've been wanting to discuss something that's been troubling my mind."
"What is it?" Her facial expression changed to one of concern. She probably thought I was going to talk about myself.
"Please sit down," I motioned towards my bed. I thought she would sit at the edge, but instead, she got onto the bed and sat close to me, leaning against the wall.
"What is it? I'm all ears," she said.
"Daisy, you're my best friend, and that's without a doubt. You've always been there to point out the positives in my life and guide me towards complete happiness. And when I see an area where you deserve happiness, I won't stay silent. It's been a few weeks since I arrived here, and I haven't even seen your boyfriend. How are you coping emotionally? You mentioned he had been away long before I came. In my case, I can cope because I have hope for someone."
All I noticed was that Daisy remained silent.
"Are you two still together? Yesterday, he was supposed to be with you. It hurts me to see you alone. What's going on, Daisy?" I asked, and it took about thirty seconds before she cracked her voice and said,
"You're absolutely right. I miss him so much. But his job involves a lot of traveling."
"Who is taking care of your emotional needs?" I placed my hand on her lap, and it seemed like she was struggling to hold something back.
"What's going on?" Before I could look at her face, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," I said, and we knew it could only be Justin. He opened the door, and Daisy and I looked up at him. I thought he had come to discuss what he would like to take for breakfast.
"Hi, beautiful ladies. How was your night?" He smiled, and I found myself falling for him. I didn't realize I was nervously rubbing my feet together.
"It was fine," Daisy said. "Dad, don't worry. Soon, we'll head to the kitchen. We know you're getting hungry." Daisy spoke, but Justin clapped his hands and stood in front of us.
"I'm not here for food. I have an important matter to discuss. So listen, ladies. Last month, I was planning to open my new house. I distinctly remember Daisy, you suggested that before opening the new house, her mom and I should grow closer as a family, and she planned a family picnic that we still haven't done..."
"But..." Daisy tried to say something, but Justin interrupted her and said,
"I know what you were going to say. Just stay calm and listen. Since your mum left, I've lost the joy of such gatherings, but what I saw yesterday means that we can have that housewarming. Daisy," he paused, and they both looked at each other, then he continued,
"I saw how well you organized yesterday's gathering, so I'm putting you in charge of the ceremony. I want it to be small and unique like yesterday, and I'll also invite my friends. Oh, and don't forget to invite your boyfriend too."
When he said that last statement, I was overjoyed, and I knew that what I had been hoping for was very close. I just want to have one passionate night with Justin and I will be satisfied.
"That's all I have to say," Justin said.
"Can I invite my mom?" Daisy asked.
"Yeah, but I know she won't come," Justin replied. I waited to hear another important detail about the gathering, but it seemed like they both forgot. When I saw Justin about to leave the room, I asked,
"What date is it?"
"Oh, I almost forgot. It's this coming Saturday. Daisy, you need to call your boyfriend and ask him to come and help you organize it. He needs to be there with you. Let me tell you a secret Daisy, there are many of my friends' sons who are interested in you. If Douglas isn't ready, there are others who are. I hope that's clear."
"Hmmm...Yes, Dad."
"Let me go now so you can continue your ladies' talk. Also, because of your mom, I'm going back to my coaching career. She's not the only one who knows how to achieve great goals." He raised his two hands up and he wanted to leave as a sign of a winner.
I became the only one smiling while Daisy looked a bit down. Now, Justin and I were indirectly on the same mission. We hadn't explicitly discussed what would happen that night, but I knew I was going to deliberately get drunk and be naked. I needed him to touch me. Yes! I craved his touch.
I put my right hand on Daisy's shoulder and held her close.
"What are you going to do?"
"Nothing, just to call him this morning." She replied.
"What about your mom? Will you tell her?" I asked, my heart racing as I imagined her reaction.
"I will, but I doubt she'll come," Daisy said, and she picked up her phone and dialed Douglas' number. In a low and unhappy voice, she said,
"Hi, dearie. How was your night?"
"What happened to your voice, love?" He asked. Daisy stayed silent, and Douglas added,
"Please, what's the matter?"
"You are the matter. I'm sick and tired of everything. Do you think you love me? Do you think the way you're treating me is the best way to treat your partner?"
"Daisy, Daisy..." he interrupted. "What do you want me to do? I suggested you come over here and spend some days before going back, but you said your best friend was around and you couldn't leave her."
"Is our relationship just about sex? What are you building? This isn't the first time I've come to the city you're talking about. Does it mean you spend more time there than anywhere else? Do you think I'm only interested in lovemaking? For your information, my dad is having a housewarming party this Saturday, and I want you to be there. If you can't make it, then we'll end this relationship."
"Daisy, is that a threat?" He asked politely.
"No, I don't want to cheat on you, so I needed to tell you."
"Please, don't end this relationship. If you do, I won't be able to survive financially..."
"Wait, please, I'll call you back," Daisy suddenly became uncomfortable, and I think she didn't want me to know about the financial aspect of her relationship.
"Is he coming?" I asked Daisy after she ended the call.
"I think so, but I don't want Douglas to be the center of my happiness. Happiness is free, and I don't want to depend on any man for it. By the way, you avoided my question yesterday. Who do you have a crush on?"
"I was just joking yesterday!" I smiled.
"You're not joking, my eyes weren't blind yesterday. I could see it. I know who it is," Daisy said, and my heart filled with fear. I hoped it wasn't what I was thinking.
"Are you going to tell me or not? Or should I say it to your face? You even went as far as to change your clothes because of him." Daisy threatened, trying to distract herself from her own troubles. But her playful demand made me feel like I was about to faint. I never imagined the fear of her finding out about my deepest crush, and my palms were already sweaty.
"Has she figured it out?" I wondered, and my breathing instantly changed.
