Sadie! Sadie!!

Sadie’s pov

Justin can’t be serious about what he just told me on the phone. No, no. Then I walked and looked at the unique wine bar in the sitting area of Justin’s new house, and it felt like I should have a glass of wine every morning. The bar was so attractive, it temporarily distracted me from what Justin had said. I closed my eyes, trying not to dwell on his suggestion. To keep my mind off it, I decided to take a walk around the new house again.

This was a dream house, the kind of house I would love my partner to own and where we could raise our kids. I had always planned to have two children, a boy and a girl, and we could have fun together. As I moved from one room to another, the quality of the furniture and the lighting reflected Justin’s wealth.

It’s crazy because I was the first person, after Justin, to move my things into the new house. While admiring the rooms and the interior decorations, I came across a room next to Justin’s room that only had a connection from his room and no external door. Though, during the house opening, Justin had the privilege to show some of his guests around the house and the different rooms, but he didn’t mention anything about this particular room.

I was about to descend the stairs when my phone rang again, and it was Justin calling.

“Hi dearie,” his suggestion flooded my mind again, and I tried not to laugh. For me, it was bizarre and funny.

“Have you made up your mind?” I could sense the amusement in his voice.

“Justin, I have never done that before…”

“It’s just for my eyes only. If you really want to please me, do it for me.”

“What if someone comes to the house?”

“No one will come, trust me, Daisy is with her mum and we spoke. She is not coming until next week,” he assured me.

“It’s not just about trust. When are you coming home?” I asked.

“Let’s say within the next three hours.”

“Okay, I’ve heard you.”

“Do you accept?” He raised his voice in a lovely way.

“Hmmm… no, I can do that in a hotel…” Before I could finish, he quickly replied.

“You’re the only one who can fulfill this desire in my heart. Please, I need to go. I miss you.”

Then he ended the call in a way that I didn’t like. It felt like he was pressuring me into something I wasn’t comfortable with. I took a deep breath, slowly descended the stairs, and sat on the couch, my eyes fixed on those expensive wines.

I closed my eyes, and Justin’s suggestion came back to me. At first in the morning, I thought he was joking when he said,

“Dear, I want you to go naked for me when I come back and walk around the house naked. I, too, will be naked.”

“Naked?” I giggled, and he took advantage of my apology, saying,

“The only way I can accept your apology is if you do that for me.”

I opened my eyes again, contemplating if I could do it with a clear mind, and I was subconsciously looking at the wines in the bar at every moment. Yes, I think I need a glass of wine, an alcoholic one, so that I can feel more relaxed even without clothes. This was something I had never done before. Justin had been trying everything to make me addicted to him.

I walked over to the wine bar and opened it. Then I grabbed one of the alcoholic wines and took a small sip. The wine was so delicious and tempting that I couldn’t resist having more. Starting with just half a glass, I ended up filling a whole cup. Some minutes later, I could feel myself getting a bit tipsy. So I got up from the couch, holding the wine bottle in my left hand and the cup in the other, and headed to Justin’s room, closing the door behind me. I wanted to surprise Justin by doing what he had asked for. At that moment, I wasn’t thinking clearly. I placed the bottle of wine and the cup on a stool near his bed and began undressing myself. As I took off all my clothes, there was one thought I remember saying to myself.

“Let me lie naked on Justin’s bed and surprise him when he comes…” That’s all I can recall before falling asleep.

Author’s pov

Sadie fell into a deep sleep due to the glasses of wine she had consumed. About an hour later, her phone started ringing. The first call went unanswered, and it was Daisy who was calling. Daisy called again, and this time Sadie managed to open her eyes. Sleep still clouded her vision, but she grabbed the phone from the bed. With her drowsy state and the influence of alcohol, she struggled to speak.

“I… will call you later,” she mumbled and unconsciously pressed the silent button, silencing the phone. With heavy eyelids and a sleepy body, she placed the phone near her head and fell back asleep.

Daisy, who had called twice, waited for Sadie to notice the missed calls and call her back. After waiting for about twelve minutes, she called Sadie’s phone and it was still unanswered. Daisy became concerned and dialed her dad’s number.

“Hi dad, are you at home?” Daisy asked.

“No Daisy, how are you doing?” he replied.

“I’m fine, but I’ve been calling Sadie and her phone keeps ringing with no answer. Did she tell you she was going somewhere?” Daisy asked.

“No. The last time we spoke, she was at home. Why isn’t she answering her phone?” he responded.

“I don’t know,” Daisy answered.

“Okay, let me call her,” Justin swiftly ended the call and dialed Sadie’s number. He stepped out of the meeting room where his coaching crew was gathered to take Daisy’s call. Placing the phone against his ear, he initially felt no panic. The first call rang and rang, then it ended. He quickly dialed again, but the same thing occurred. He immediately called Daisy and asked,

“When did you start calling Sadie?”

“It’s been about twenty minutes,” she replied.

“How many times did you call her phone?” Justin interrupted.

“More than five times…”

“And she didn’t pick up?” Justin confirmed.

“Yes,” Daisy said.

“Where are you, Daisy?”

“I’m at home, my mom’s place.”

“Please, can you go to my new house and check what’s happening? I’m still in the meeting. Please, hurry up,” Justin’s voice grew anxious.

“You don’t need to see me, I’m going straight there. I thought you weren’t home, that’s why I called you…”

“Please, go and update me. Please…” Justin emphasized his last word. Despite his tone, Daisy didn’t think much of it. She believed it was just a natural concern for Sadie, and there were no strings attached.

Ten minutes later, Daisy was still on her way when her phone rang. She was driving when Justin called.

“Are you there now?” he asked.

“No!”

“Please hurry up!” He ended the call. Anxious herself, Daisy increased the speed of her car, and her heart raced.

“Where has Sadie gone that she’s refusing to answer her phone?” Daisy spoke to herself, her breathing becoming erratic as she approached her dad’s house. When she stopped the car in front of the house, she hastily got out without closing the door. As she entered the house, she noticed an eerie silence. She checked the kitchen and Sadie’s room, then searched the guest rooms, but Sadie was nowhere to be found.

“Where could she have gone?” she wondered, returning to the kitchen where she saw that Sadie had prepared some food not long ago. Then she went to the living room, took out her phone, and dialed her dad’s number.

“Hi dad, Sadie is nowhere to be found at home.”

“Really?” he exclaimed.

“Then I’m coming right away,” Justin said, whispering to one of his crew members before leaving the meeting. He hurried out of the building and got into his car. The first thing he did after starting the car and driving away was to dial Eric’s number.

“Hello Eric, is Sadie with you?” Justin asked.

“No! Did she tell you she was coming to my place?” Eric responded.

“No,” Justin answered.

“The last time I saw her was at the housewarming party.”

“Okay!” Justin ended the call. He drove to his house at a very high speed and arrived in eighteen minutes. He got out of the car and rushed inside.

“Has she answered her phone?” This was the first question he asked Daisy.

“No.”

“Where has she gone? Does she have a friend in this city other than you? Or did you have any misunderstanding with her?”

“Hmm… no, I don’t think so, no misunderstanding,” Daisy replied. Justin stood there for a moment, holding his suitcase in his right hand.

“Let me keep my bag in my room and sort out what steps to take next. I just remembered, please, call her mum,” Justin said, and as he left Daisy’s presence, he had a thought.

“Has Sadie gone to see Paul?” He was still contemplating on his thoughts when opened his room door and to his surprise, Sadie was lying naked on his bed. Justin quickly went towards her and called out in a low voice.

“Sadie! Sadie!!” He shook her legs, and he first smiled. At that very moment, he heard a knock on his door, and he saw It gradually opening. His heart raced with shock, causing his suitcase to fall from his hand.
