Chapter 106:

Pythia POV:

When we all surfaced from the house I looked around to see crowds had gathered around Athea, Delilah and Lucinda. Everyone was amazed at them and I can understand why. My mind was reeling from what the twins had said. Lucinda had a gift that she has now shared with them, it took me a minute to get my own thoughts around it while the two of them scolded me. Lucinda looked up at me and smiled and I couldn't help but smile back at her as we started making our way towards her. "Ah Pythia, you have such a wonderful pack." Lucinda said with a wide smile. "Yes, I do. They are the best." I replied. "So you two are really related?" Jason asked, looking between us. "Well I know you see what everyone else does so why don't you tell me." I replied, smiling at him. "It's just a huge mind boggle you know?" Jason said. "Trust me I know." I laughed.

I felt a nudge against my back and I looked over my shoulder to see Delilah. "Hey pretty girl. Having fun?" I asked, rubbing the side of her face. "I am, everyone is really nice." Delilah replied, lowering her head into my hand. "Why is Delilah not with you?" Jax asked, walking towards us. "That is because I wanted to spend some time with her." Lucinda replied. "I heard she was once your wolf?" Jax asked. "Yes, although I was never her host, she stayed in my realm with me. I have missed her." Lucinda replied. I looked around and saw the twins were standing off in the distance with their mates, they were looking around and I didn't need that gift to know that they were feeling a little overwhelmed with everyones thoughts. "How long are you staying?" Lee asked. "Not much longer, we need to get the children back with those who can't fight and get them settled." Lucinda replied. I felt my heart sink, they would be leaving soon and then the fight would be on.

My mind was running all over the place trying to figure out when they would show up, I know they said Ember would tell us when they would be arriving and I was still a bit shocked that Bartholomew killed the elders, but part of me was mad as hell that he did that. They were supposed to die at my hands because of what they have done to my family and I. The trial that was dragged out and the hell I had to go through, how we had to walk around on egg shells and watch our backs at every turn. They took an entire coven and did unspeakable things to them. The hatred I felt for them knowing I wouldn't be able to bring that type of justice for them enraged me. How dare he take away the one thing I have been wanting to do so easily and so quickly. I needed to hold on to that rage because I could use it to fuel the fire that I have come to be so accustomed to.

I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, I must have been so consumed with my own thoughts. "Stop stressing. Everyone will be safe." Lucinda whispered. "I know. Doesn't make it any easier though." I replied. "Lucinda, it is time to go." Athea said, walking up to us. My heart sank a little bit more, it was time for them to leave. We had to give the impression that Delilah would be back with me which means I have to hide her away. We could train the rest of the day, it will keep my mind busy so I am not just sitting around worrying and stressing about Apollo. I looked at my little wolf who was completely happy being the center of attention. I stretched my arms out and took Apollo and I cradled him close. I hated this so much, being separated from him was what I had hated most.

I knew this was the best decision, Tye wrapped his arms around us and it felt like forever that we  were standing there. "Pythia, I need to put Delilah back in you.'' Lucinda whispered. I raised my head to see those who had kids who were giving them lots of love. Beth and Jasper walked up to us and she displayed a soft smile on her face. She knew how hard this was for me but in truth I did feel a little better knowing that she would be there with him. I handed him to her and turned to face Lucinda. "I will hide her for a few hours until you get home for the night." Lucinda mouthed. I just nodded my head and closed my eyes, when I opened them I could still see Delilah but it was clear no one else could because Tye was looking around where she once stood. "Are you ready sister?" Athea asked with a smile.

I watched as all the children and those not fighting gather in a circle. I walked up to Beth and looked down at Apollo before I kissed the top of his head. "Mommy will see you soon okay? I love you my little wolf." I said as I inhaled his scent. "Love mommy, dada." Apollo giggled making me laugh. I stepped back and clung on to Tye and my heart started beating hard. "We will see you all when the fight is over, they will be perfectly safe." Lucinda said, her voice boomed out gently. "We will watch over all of you as we have since the beginning. We will be with you in spirit. Good luck my creatures of night." Athea said just as they all disappeared. In that moment my heart shattered, I felt a tear run down my face as I just stared at the spot they were just standing in. "Come here my beauty." Tye whispered as he pulled me into his chest. I wrapped my arms around him and balled his shirt in my fist and I cried all my emotions out in that instance.

I had Delilah pulled from me which already made me feel empty, now all of our babies are gone and we don't even know if they will have parents to come back to. "Let's take today as a free day, you are free to do what you want." Stephen announced. I peaked around Tye and saw all the men were holding close to their mates, men have always hid their feelings a lot better than women have and right now we all needed to lean on each other. "What do you want to do?" Tye asked. I wiped away my tears and took a step back, "I want to train. With Delilah still being out we can figure a routine out." I replied. "Or how about I take you home, cook a nice lunch and get you in a bath and we watched whatever movie you want to?" Tye said looking down at me. I could tell he was struggling to hold back his own tears and maybe this was a better idea.

As much as I wanted to train I knew my head would not be in it and someone could possibly get hurt. "I think Jenson and I are going to train." Jasper said, walking up to me before he wrapped me up in a big hug. "We are going to be just fine." I laughed. Who knew one of the things that made me feel happy was a big brotherly hug. "We will train with you." Lee said. I looked behind the twins to see Lee was accompanied by Ryan and Jax. "Don't let your egos get hurt when we kick all your asses." Jenson laughed. I watched the group of men walk off towards the gym while Tye and I turned to go to the house. "So where is Delilah?" Tye asked. "She is walking beside me. When we get to the house I'll lift her shield so that you can see her." I replied. "It's been a long day for you, how are you feeling?" Tye asked. "I feel empty, like a large piece of me is missing." I whispered.

Tye pulled me a little closer, "It won't be long before you feel whole again. "I know, so what are you going to cook for lunch?" I asked. "Oh you know a typical man's lunch, a cheese sandwich and some chips." Tye replied. I shoved him to the side, "You're such a brat sometimes." I laughed. "Beth said for me to check the fridge before she left. I'm assuming she had something planned." Tye said. "Remind me to do something special for her." I replied. She deserved something after all she has done for all of us. Maybe I could send her and Jasper on a vacation when this is all over with. Let the two of them have some privacy before she gives birth. As we walked through the door I paused in the living room and turned to look at Delilah. "I bet you are ready to be seen." I said with a smile. I waved my hand around her and watched the air shimmer slightly. "Can you see her?" I asked. Tye didn't reply, he just walked up to her and hugged her.

I watched her take a deep breath taking in his scent. "There is my other favorite wolf." Tye said, rubbing the sides of her face. "You two relax. Let me get lunch ready, I'll be back soon." Tye said before he walked out of the room. Delilah laid on the floor and looked up at me. "How are you really?" Delilah asked. I knew she would ask. She knows me inside and out, all my thoughts and everything. I took a deep breath and sat on the floor next to her and rested my back against her. "When you were pulled I felt empty, like I had too much space all of a sudden but, when they left I felt like my heart had been ripped from me. Shattered actually." I replied. "It will be over before you know it. Keep your head up." Delilah replied. She was right, well they all were. This will be over soon and I do need to keep my head up. I can't let my own thoughts get away from me and distract me because I need to stay focused.

"Do you know how they are doing?" I asked. "I do, the kids are playing with the baby wolves." Delilah replied easily. I relaxed a bit more at her words. They are adjusting really well and it seems like the baby wolves are keeping them occupied. "Here we go." Tye said as he walked in holding a large tray full of different meats, cheese and crackers along with my favorite sweet red wine and salad. I smiled to myself. Beth really is the best ever. "This looks great." I said when he said down. "Yeah, I think we need to do something extra special for her when they get back. She has gone above and beyond, our dinner is already prepped, the only thing I have to do is cook it." Tye said with a smile. "I think I am going to send them away for like a week. I just don't know where yet." I replied. "Jasper has mentioned that they have talked about going to the beaches in Florida." Tye said. "Those are nice ones, I'll book them a condo and reach out to the packs out that way." I replied.

We sat in silence as we ate, when we were done I cleaned up while Tye went upstairs. "Can I get you anything Delilah?" I asked. "No, I am just going to rest for now. Thank  you." Delilah replied with a huff. That was all I needed to know before I walked upstairs. My sense of smell hasn't gone away like I thought it would. Lavender hit my nose and I knew he had used some of the calming herbs to help me relax more, when I walked in to the bathroom my eyes landed on a very naked Tye. My mouth nearly feel open at the sight of him, I will never get tired of looking at him. "Come here." Tye whispered. My eyes locked on his as I walked forward and slowly I started to undress. "You didn't think you'd be taking a bath by yourself now did you?" Tye whispered just as he crashed his lips down on mine. He wrapped his arms just under my butt and lifted me, I wrapped my legs around his waist just before my back crashed against the wall.

I didn’t have time to think and I didn’t want time to think, I wanted him right in this moment. Our tongues fought for dominance until he finally won. He positioned himself right at my entrance and my breath caught in my throat. My hands found their way to his hair and I tugged his head back peppering kisses along his jawline and his neck. A growl rumbled through him as he slammed into me causing a moan to escape my mouth. As he thrusted his hips back and forth I could feel myself building, my nails digging into his back making him growl. His breathing started to quicken and I knew he was close too, his pace starting speeding up and just before I climaxed he sunk his teeth in the crook of my neck sending me over the edge as he found his release.

I swear I blacked out for a second because the next thing I knew he was stepping in to the bath still holding firmly to me. I was greeted with hot water that soothed my now aching muscles. I looked up to see him smiling down at me. “I’ll never get tired of seeing you unravel under me.” Tye said, kissing my forehead. “I love you.” I whispered. “I love you too my beauty now let’s get cleaned up, I have a movie waiting for us.” Tye replied as he picked up the sponge and applied soap to it. When we were finished we both stepped out and dried off. I braided my hair to the sides again and put on my pajamas. When we got downstairs we both sat on the couch, Delilah was snoring which told me she slept through all of that. Tye pressed the power button to the TV and Pitch Perfect appeared on the TV making me laugh.

This was my favorite movie to watch. Just as he pressed play our front door flung open and a pissed off Alley barged in. “What is going on?” I asked “Ember just informed me that at sunrise they will be at our borders.” Alley growled out. Oh shit that was really fast. “Okay we have our plan in place. We need to get some sleep and meet around 4AM. I’ll shield everyone so no one can see us.” I replied. “We have sent the orders to have everyone sleep with their groups so we are all ready to go. I’ll see you both in a few hours.” Alley said before she turned around and walked out, closing the door behind her. Delilah was on her feet looking like whoever walked in that door next would be torn to pieces. “Let’s get whatever sleep we can.” Tye said, pulling the blanket over us.

I laid my head on his chest listening to his heart beat steady out. This was it. This is what we have been waiting for. I was going to come face to face with Bartholomew tomorrow, all that anger I’ve kept bottled up has been saved for this very moment and I fully planned on unleashing every bit of emotion I had to take him down and bring our families back as soon as possible.
