Chapter 34:
Pythia POV:
As much as I wished we could have stayed longer I knew we had to come back, especially for this. This was an important day, everyone was going to get to know each other a lot better. I am excited yet nervous about it. I made sure the Stony and Lillith as well as others would be there to help set up or whatever was needed. I wanted today to go easily so whatever we could do to help with that then that is what we will do. As we pulled back up to the house I could see tables lined up in order, one row had food and snacks while circular tables were scattered out. Each table had six chairs around them with white table sheets with lillies in vases at the center. It wasn't as decorated as I had imagined because let's face it, Tyes mom as well as the rest love to decorate over the top. Tye grabbed the bags and I followed him upstairs, I wanted to shower and clean up so that I looked at least decent. As soon as the door opened I darted to the bathroom and turned the shower on. "I am going to go check in with Stephen and see if he needs help with anything, take your time my beauty." Tye said, laying a soft kiss on my lips.
"Well it isn't like I can move that fast anyways." I giggled as I rubbed my large belly. Tye bent down and gently laid his head on top and as soon as it touched there was movement within me. I gasped and looked down to see the biggest smile plastered on his face. "Hey my little angel, I love you so much already." Tye whispered as he rubbed the side of my belly. There was movement again as if our little bundle of joy was responding to him. I heard Tye laugh and it rumbled my entire body, instantly she started kicking. "Easy now, we don't want you hurting mommy." Tye said as he kept rubbing. "We need to go and see Julie." I said. "I have already talked to her, with everything going on today she won't be able to see us so we have to wait until Sunday." Tye replied. I guess I should have known that, today is going to be a busy day. Tye kept his head rested on my belly while he talked to the baby. We really need to come up with a name for her, "Have you thought of names?" I asked curiously. "I have thought of a few but there is one I like the most." Tye replied. I tilted my head to the side and ran my fingers through his hair. "What name?" I asked.
"Lilly Knicole." Tye whispered and on cue she started moving around. "I think she likes that name." I whispered. "Well or it is kicking because it is a boy and not a girl, but It's just a thought, we can change it if you don't like it." Tye replied. "I love it. Lilly Knicole it shall be if it is in fact a girl." I stated proudly. "What about a boys name?" Tye asked. "I was thinking Apollo Wayne." I stated. It was a strong name in my opinion. "I actually really like that name. So Lilly Knicole for a girl or Apollo Wayne for a boy. Sunday can't come fast enough." Tye said excitedly. He stood up and the smile was still on his face. "I will let you shower now, I will see you soon." He said kissing my forehead. He walked out of the room and I stepped in to the shower, I rubbed soap over my belly and the overwhelming feeling of the need to know was sinking in. I would be so happy with a boy or girl, but now that we have names picked out it made me more excited to know. I wonder if anyone else knows what they are having. I would ask Ambrosia when I walked down afterwards.
I quickly stepped out and dried myself off and spun my hair up in the towel, I wrapped another around me the best I could and went straight to the closet. I looked through what all I had kept here and I noticed that more clothes are blue and green, before I met Tye my apparel was mainly black but now I have added a few colors. A smile formed on my face thinking how much my life has changed for the better since I met him. Don't get me wrong, I would still kick ass if I needed to, the only difference is I now have someone that will stand beside me, Not in front or behind me. I am his equal and I love that he doesn't treat me like I am helpless because I am not. I grabbed a dress that I knew I could fit in, I bought it not too long ago. The top piece was royal blue while the center stripe was black, it flowed into a deep green that nearly matched my eyes. The fabric was so soft against my skin and at this point I just wanted to be as comfortable as possible. I never thought that I would be the woman that wore actual dresses but here we are, months in my pregnancy wearing colorful dresses.
I went back to the bathroom and slid the dress over and placed it where it was supposed to go, I reached under the counter and pulled out the small amount of makeup that I had. I wanted to keep things light so I decided to use a brown nude color for my eyes, traced a small amount of eye liner on the top of my eye lid and down on the bottom before applying mascara. The final touch was a small amount of light pink blush to add a little color to my cheeks. I took my hair out of the towel and brushed it out. Naturally my hair curls all on its own so I decided to let it flow freely today. When I walked back out to the room I grabbed a pair of black sandals and walked out of the door. I could hear people talking downstairs but I couldn't figure out who it was. "You look so pretty." A voice said behind me, I turned to see Ambrosia walking towards me. She wore a pair of black fitted pants with a dark red blouse. "Wow, you look stunning." I replied. "It was the only thing I could find, honestly I would be more comfortable in a dress." She replied. As we walked the hallway I had to ask the question that was swirling in my head. "Do you know what you guys are having?" I asked. "Not yet, we find out on Monday but I have a feeling that it will be a girl." Ambrosia said laughing. "We find out tomorrow, Julie thinks it is a girl but I don't know." I replied.
