Chapter 75:

Pythia POV:

As we made our way towards the party I could hear whispers behind us but I couldn't hear what they were saying. Tye pulled me closer to him and I wrapped my arm around his hips. "They are very curious about you, Alley and Ambrosia and the council." Tye said through our link. "I figured they would be. There really aren't covens where they are located and a very limited number of vampires." I replied back. "They know we are stronger because of the powers y'all carry but they are curious to see how strong we all are in hand to hand combat." Tye stated. "Well, then I guess we will need to show them just how strong we are." I replied back smiling up at him. Tye narrowed his eyes at me because he probably guessed what I was going to do. We started getting closer and everyone started standing on their guards, wolves stood a little closer to everyone else.

I knew there would be a little tension and part of me was happy to see how close we have all gotten to each other. Ambrosia and Jackson started making their way towards the crowds with Troy and Braxton behind her. "I was beginning to worry." Ambrosia said as she looked behind us. "You worry too much, you know that." I replied with a smile. "Everything alright?" Jackson asked, eyeing the alphas behind us. I could feel his aura rolling off of him in a warning manner. "Everything is fine, they have come to aid us, I fully expect everyone to behave and act accordingly." Alley said in a warning tone. Jackson nodded his head and pulled back his aura which made me relax a little more. Before I knew it our people came to stand behind Ambrosia and Jackson and we were the dividers. It seemed like a stare off for a split second before I had finally had enough of it.

I cleared my throat, gaining everyones attention. "They will be joining us for the foreseeable future. They do not mean any harm and will be training with us. I would like for everyone to get to know each other to be more comfortable. Can you all do that for me?" I asked looking around to our group. Everyone nodded so I turned around to face the new people behind me. "I understand your fears of us witches and vampires but you will come to see that we are not scary people at all. Just give us all a chance to prove that and they will give each of you to prove the same." I said. "If any of our people act up please come to us and we will handle it. If it isn't already noticeable I am Ambrosia, Queen of the vampires and mate to alpha Jackson, make no mistake of our kindness. Should any of you cross a line it will not end well." Ambrosia said beside me. They all nodded their heads quickly and finally they started moving around.

Each side started to give and take and small talks started to happen before everything seemed to be going back to normal. Trusting in others is not always easy especially with how things are going nowadays, but if we want to work together we have to get along and now that more alphas are here the more testosterone will be on display. "I truly meant no disrespect earlier, we just do not know much about dark witches and have been told not so great stories of the previous queen. I am Lee, alpha of the moon rise pack." Lee stated. "It is a pleasure to meet you Lee, I am aware of what my mother was. It is why I killed her." I replied with a smile, shock registered across his face. "You killed your mother?" Lee asked. "Of course, she wanted something that would have killed us all and sent us into a raging war. I couldn't let people or others be hurt by her recklessness. Do not fear me, just look around and you will see we are good people." I replied easily.

"Well just don't piss her off and she isn't scary." Tye muttered, making me laugh. "Or upset her." Jasper said. "Or hurt her." Jenson added. I mentally face palmed myself. "Who are you guys?" Lee asked. "I'm Tye, her mate and fiance. Alpha of the Emerald Moon pack." Tye replied with a smile. "We are her brothers. I'm Jasper and that is Jenson." Jasper replied. Lee looked more closely at them before I could see the confusion on his face. "But you both are wolves? How is that even possible?" Lee asked. "We have the same father, he mated with a wolf. He is also a white witch." I replied easily. "The boys also carry elements. Four of them to be exact so I would tread carefully." Tye added. "It seems we have a lot to learn and figure out. We weren't aware of the mixed races. I'm Jax, alpha of the White moon pack." Jax said introducing himself.

"There are more than you think, it is just so unheard of that they hide themselves to avoid conflict but we need to encourage them to come out." Ambrosia said. "You are truly an intimidating woman. No offense though." Jax said. Ambrosia laughed before shaking her head. "Good, I am not a bad person or anything but I am one of the oldest and the strongest, it's better to have me on your side than to fight against me." Ambrosia said. I rolled my eyes at her. "You're too much sometimes. Besides you aren't fighting anyone so long as you are carrying my future niece or nephew." I said sternly. "Yeah, yeah I know. If push came to shove I would still kill someone over my family." Ambrosia said, nudging me. The memory of her killing the previous elder flashed across my mind. She wasted no time in doing so but I later learned that when vampires fall pregnant it is incredibly hard for them to be injured. Their bodies turn into a protective ward so even if she were to get hit it would not hurt the baby they are carrying.

"I think you are more intimidating than she is." A younger alpha walked up and stated. He looked oddly familiar and I couldn't figure out where I had seen him before. "I've seen you before." I stated. He chuckled at my response and then it clicked with me. "You are the young alpha that made an ass out of yourself at the ceremony. What is your name?" I asked as I tilted my head to the side. "Yeah, that would be me. My name is Ryan, I did act like an ass and I was hoping to catch that same alpha and his mate here tonight to speak to them." Ryan said. "They are here somewhere but I would tread lightly. Jeremy is very protective of Cassandra but she will kick your ass. She is a tough little thing." Ambrosia replied. "Why did you make such a remark?" I asked curiously. "My father had taught us that humans were weaker and a wolf who mated with one was just as weak but, after the ceremony I did some research on the war that happened and heard rumors of her. I shouldn't have believed him so easily and I had no training as an alpha. Lee and Jax have helped me a lot." Ryan replied.

"What happened to your father?" Tye asked. "I'm not sure, he said he was retiring and gave me the alpha position and went off the radar. We can't find him." Ryan replied, shrugging his shoulders. "It isn't normal for an alpha to up and leave, we need to look in to that." Tye said through the link. "Did any of you bring your mates?" Jasper asked. "We haven't met our mates yet and more of our packs keep disappearing so we all moved to the same lands to protect those we still have around but as you can see we brought them all with us." Jax stated. Okay now that is really weird. How do large packs just start losing people? "That is not normal. How long has this been going on?" Alcide asked as he walked up. "Who are you?" Lee asked. "I'm alpha Alcide and also Pythia, Jasper and Jensons cousin." Alcide replied easily. "Nice to meet you. I'm alpha Lee, that is alpha Jax and Ryan. This has been going on for a little over a year. Our members have been cutting ties to our pack randomly and leaving." Lee replied.

"Y'all didn't go look for them?" I asked. "No, if you cut ties then you are no longer our concern, we just figured they had joined another pack which isn't uncommon." Jax replied. "We only have a few trackers left and they haven't found anything on the ones who just up and disappeared." Ryan added. "We will have our trackers help while they are out searching for the grand elders. Maybe they can find something." Stephen replied. "We would really appreciate that. It's been tough on us." Lee said sadly. Something is happening to their packs and I have a feeling that the elders are behind it. "For now let's just enjoy the night shall we? Everyone seems to be getting along really well." I said. "What is the party for if you don't mind me asking?" Ryan said. "It's to show them how much we appreciate them, they have all trained incredibly hard and we are very proud of them." Alley said with a smile. "I think after all of this is said and done we might look and see if there is any open lands around. This is actually really nice." Lee said as he looked around and watched everyone.

"I can help with that. I have a map of all the available lands, we can help establish your packs or maybe come up with another idea." Stephen replied. This conversation seemed to be more for the men to talk about, "Are you ladies hungry?" I asked. "Very let's leave the men to discuss some stuff." Ambrosia said. I gave Tye a soft kiss on his cheek before we left our men to handle that. "What do we think?" Alley asked. "Something is definitely off, missing pack members and others just leaving? They seem like good people so I don't know why anyone would leave." Ambrosia replied. "They started leaving and disappearing when all of this first started. Maybe the grand elders had already planned for this. Maybe they are getting a bigger army together than we originally thought." I stated. As we got our food and sat down we had many stares from the new people. I could feel how nervous they were to say anything and I know with time they won't be nervous. "How come you two haven't decided to know what you are having? You only have a few months left." I said. "We want it to be a surprise. Julie said I could go into labor sooner than expected since I had the twins first." Alley replied.

"I could go into labor soon too. Kind of relieves me because then I can train and prepare with everyone else. I mean I will still stay and watch over the others but I wouldn't have to worry about something happening you know?" Ambrosia added. "That is true. We can only hope they will hold off until after we give birth so we can better protect everyone." Alley said. I felt a hand slide across my back and I looked up to see Tye staring down at me. He held his hand out and I looked confused. "Dance with me." Tye asked. A smile came across my lips and I gladly took his hand. He led me out to where everyone was dancing, it was a slow song, one I was not familiar with. About a minute into the song I felt a shift in the air. I stopped and looked around before an explosion outside of the shield shook the ground. Children screamed while women grabbed the person next to them, "Get everyone in cellars now!" Tye roared. "Alley! Ambrosia!" I shouted as I took off to look for them. "We are fine. Go, we will take care of the others." Alley replied with a hard look on her face.

Before I could turn around another explosion rocked the ground, I put my arms around them to help steady them. "Stephen! Jackson!" I shouted. Seconds later I seen them running to us, I handed them off before I ran to Jasper, Jenson, Tye and Beth. "Let's go. Beth, please help get the kids to safety." I said sternly. She bowed her head and kissed Jasper before she ran off. We needed to find out what was happening and fast.
